Holiday rentals with beach access in Sveitarfélagið Ölfus

What a fantastic place right in the heart of downtown Reykjavik- minutes to amazing food and shops. My husband and I had an absolute blast! We had everything we needed and felt right at home. Highly recommend! Such a great energy and vibe.

A great place to stay, close to the water, great views! Very convenient to do trips to the golden circle and south coast and around Reykjavik. Thordis was also an excellent host with very good communication before and during our stay with good local recommendations. Her place was also very comfortable, clean and made us feel right at home!

Fabulous apartment with very easy access from airport. Comfy seats with the best view, close to shops & restaurants. We stayed for our first couple of nights in Iceland & was the perfect base to explore. Thank you!

The apartment is large and very comfortable. The host calls it a studio, but it feels more like a 1-bedroom appartment, because there are three areas - a large kitchen, a bedroom (there is no door which would make it completely private, but most of it is behind a wall separating it from the kitchen), and a dan/office with a writing deck. The street is very quiet, and there is plenty of free street parking right in front of the building. The apartment is tastefully decorated and has all the necessary amenities. We didn't use the hot tub, but it is available and is easily accessible from the apartment. This apartment is a great choice if you need to stay in Keflavik overnight (e.g., flying out the next day or starting your tour around the island the next day), or could also serve as a good base to explore the areas around the Blue Lagoon and the Reykjanes Peninsula.

10/10. Maria and her family were wonderful hosts. From letting my children play with their pets to allowing us flexible check in and out due to our flight times, this listing is an absolute gem. Great water (drinking and bathing), beautiful yard, killer views. We saw the northern lights right from our windows multiple nights. I wish we could have stayed forever!

Beautiful apartment with an excellent location, we enjoyed a great space with comfortable beds. Silla is very kind and her husband too, we were able to greet them both. If you have the chance to stay in this apartment, don't think twice.

The renovated water tower is a lovely and clean home. There are large sliding doors on each floor that open up to give access to the outdoors or cool off the home. The main bathroom with a shower is located on the ground floor and comes with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. There is also a hair dryer and many towels available. The bathroom on the second level was small and could be accessed through the main bedroom. The kitchen was bright and open. There was plenty of seating for the 4 of us, although the bench seat by the kitchen table could be thoroughly washed. Plenty of dishes and kitchen essentials. Washer and drying rack were a pleasant addition to the home and made traveling light easier. The rooms were cozy and the beds are comfortable. The stairs are steep but easy to navigate for our children (ages 7 and 9). The views from inside and from the deck are beautiful. The two birds nesting outside are quite friendly. Earlier guests named them Chuck and Larry.

Absolutely amazing spot & even better hosts. My husband and I came to Iceland for a vow renewal after having to change our wedding plans due to COVID 5 years ago (we originally planned an elopement in Iceland), and Anthony went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time, and we did! Overall, this was an absolutely outstanding stay. Every single thing we needed was managed quickly & Anthony went beyond anything we could have asked to take care of us. Plus, the airbnb itself was so charming. Definitely recommend if looking for a quaint port town close the Reykjavik! I wouldn’t come here for a more isolated experience or to get away from the hustle of Reykjavik, but I think the port town was a great alternative to staying in Reykjavik itself.

We really loved the cottage by the sea. Such a beautiful setting with horses out back, the mtns and seals swimming nearby.

We traveled with an infant and since no one was using the place the day before, Hildur allowed us to come straight from our flight! It was so incredibly nice of them and my daughter appreciated the opportunity to catch up on some sleep. Overall, the place is beautiful, spacious, and had an incredible review. I’d recommend this AirBnb to anyone!

We loved the Clubhouse! Staying in Hvammsvik Hot Springs was a highlight. We would definitely stay again!

What a great place. We really enjoyed our stay here. Lots of room for everyone and such a great location - not far out of the city but very peaceful and beautiful. The favourite of the Air Bnb's we booked for our Iceland trip!

Our 4 night stay in Larus’ Lakefront Villa & nearby attractions of the Golden Circle were one of the highlights of our trip-we highly recommend! His home is spectacular in every way, including a hot tub, sauna, a large living room/gathering space w/well appointed kitchen. Directly on a lake, without others in close proximity, it’s ideal for those that want to experience the splendor of this part of Iceland more privately. As a host, Larus goes above & beyond! We had brought some equipment to fish the river 100 yards away, but not small enough tackle. When we emailed him asking location of a tackle shop, after returning from a daily activity, we were surprised & delighted to find 2 more rods & 2 new trays of tackle appropriate for the trout in the river; giving 4 of our group the chance to do some fishing in Iceland. Very nice place to stay, great location, parking can get a little hectic but that can be expected.

Stop! Look no further if you are looking for the perfect place to stay in Reykjavik. This penthouse is spacious, beautifully decorated, very well equipped for whatever you may need, and sparkling clean. The hosts were fantastic— they communicated with us clearly and honestly and provided everything they said they would. We recommend them as highly as possible and would definitely return here on our next Icelandic adventure.

I loved living in this house. I spent two weeks on a work trip there and it was perfect for that occasion. The ocean is litterally two minutes away, the garden outside the windows is lush and available, and the location is just great. Very charming house with a warm atmosphere. Helgi and his dog were amazing hosts, very helpful and generous, which made the experience just amazing.

This was a great value for us. Really a nice size with plenty of room for the four of us. I had some questions while there and they were answered very quickly. We also got some great recommendations before our arrival from Amos, very friendly and helpful. The free parking was a plus but we did find that if you arrive later in the day/evening, you will likely have problems finding anything close. Would still definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a nice place near town.

Harbor Apartment was a great place to stay! Walking distance to all the prime sights made it convenient, as well as the many restaurants. So convenient!! Host(s) were so responsive, as well as the information shared about the area, the apartment and the restaurant suggestions made our visit perfect! We definitely will return one day!

We had a great stay at Unnur's apartment. It was a perfect base for our adventures around Reykjavik. The location was very close to downtown (10min drive), walking distance to the Sky Lagoon (highly recommended) and having free parking was a lovely amenity. The apartment itself was lovely - bright, clean and well appointed - and the host, Unnur was excellent - very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a nice quiet location just outside of the city centre.

What an absolutely wonderful Airbnb experience. The apartment was beautiful and super-clean, and the view was stunning! We loved looking out the window at the ocean in the evenings, and we took a lovely walk along the seafront one morning. We took day trips to the Golden Circle and the Snaefellsnes peninsula, and we were an easy drive from Reykjavik. Best of all, Salvor Lilja and her husband were amazing hosts. We enjoyed a sunset soak in the hot tub, and they very kindly provided a selection of beverages and Icelandic treats. They also very thoughtfully left the apartment stocked with amenities like coffee, tea, milk, beer, wine and chocolates. We would highly recommend to anyone!
