Casa Luminosa in the Old Jewish Quarter of Ortigia

The house is in a friendly neighbourhood where you will find a great assortment of bars and restaurants in close proximity to the house. That said, the house is located in a small cul-de-sac, away from the hustle and bustle of Ortigia. It is on two floors with a spacious terrace, ideal for al fresco dining. On the first floor is a bedroom with a bed that can either be a king-size or two single beds. Please let us know in advance what your preference is so that we can organise the beds according to your needs. The first floor bedroom also has a small balcony and private en suite. Upstairs includes an open plan kitchen diner with a beautiful terrace, which then flows through to a comfortable living space/double bedroom with small balcony and walk in closet. This floor also includes the main bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with an induction hob and electric oven, a dishwasher, washing machine fridge and freezer. There is also an espresso machine, for that critical morning energy boost. The terrace is equipped with table and chairs that can be folded away, should you wish to use the space to soak up the rays instead, for your convenience there is a remote control canopy for shade. We have a small but growing collection of books on all things Sicilian. Amongst the books are guidebooks to Sicily including a book with hiking tours of the island. Please feel free to enjoy the books, but please do not take them with you. There is high speed internet in the house and SMART TV, linked to satellite TV as well as the internet. The house has air-conditioning, as well as heating in the winter. The staircase that leads to the first and second floors may prove challenging for people with mobility issues. The open staircase also means that the house is not suitable for smaller children. The entire house is there for you. We will personally deal with all the booking details. We have a local agent, Enrico, who will be on hand when you arrive to show you the house and hand over the keys. He will also be on call if there are any problems during your stay, additionally, we will be able to provide you with any further guidance to ensure you have a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The house is on a peaceful cul-de-sac in the in the old Jewish quarter of Ortigia, Guidecca. Its location makes it ideal for exploring Ortigia, Siracusa, and the surrounding area. It's close to an incredible food market for culinary adventures. There are a number of excellent restaurants and cosy bars in the neighbourhood (see the guide). If there are more than four of you traveling to Ortigia, there is a very nice boutique hotel next door that may be able to accommodate any additional guests. Enrico, our manager, can organise pick up in a taxi from Catania airport to the house. If you choose to rent a car, there is no parking space at the house, but there are car parks at the entrance to the island. We can provide details of these. There are also buses from the airport to Ortigia. We will provide you with a map once you have booked our house, showing you how to find it and also where to park. We are passionate about Sicily and Ortigia and are more than happy to recommend things to see and do, including favourite restaurants and bars, beaches, and day trips to the nearby towns (Noto, Modica, Ragusa etc.), so that you can come to enjoy Ortigia as much as we do. If there are more than four of you traveling to Ortigia, there is a very nice boutique hotel next door that may be able to accommodate any additional guests.

Villa Susanna

Ancient Villa of 1908, built to become a factory of lemon and orange essences, which grew in the vast citrus grove owned by the villa. Subsequently renovated, the villa was divided into two houses of 110 square meters each. It is possible to book both houses that can accommodate up to 8/9 people. There is an intimate inner courtyard and a large outdoor garden all available for guests to enjoy. The two villas are presented in a different style, there is a modern and a classical villa. The first , which can accommodate up to 4 people, is characterized by a modern style, with exposed living stone walls and wooden trusses, and a beautiful and warm living area, which includes a modern kitchen, with a breakfast peninsula, 55-inch TV, large relaxation sofa with peninsula, a large table for lunches and dinners and small design details. Two bedrooms, a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, air conditioning , and a loft overlooking the living area. There are therefore two bathrooms equipped with all possible comforts. The other villa, more classic and intimate, is characterised by an ancient style, also with living stone walls and wooden trusses. There is an imposing fireplace, which is the heart of the living area. An intimate kitchen for breakfasts and aperitifs and a large table for lunches and dinners. This villa also has two bedrooms, one double with bathroom in the room , where there is air conditioning, and the other a loft overlooking the living area, equipped with the Polyphemus Ion refrigerator. There are therefore two bathrooms equipped with all possible comforts.

Agàpe Ortigia

Agàpe Ortigia is an accommodation created with Love in the magical island of Ortigia, in the historic center, a stone's throw from the Duomo and the major sites of interest. The independent room is large and spacious, has a double bed, TV, free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee corner, but the peculiarity of this accommodation apart from the furnishings is the bathroom which, in addition to having the main amenities, offers a large sunken tub where you can relax.

From June 1, 2024, the Municipality of Syracuse will also charge a tourist tax for short rentals, so the tourist tax is €4 per night (i.e. 4% of the cost per night) up to a maximum of 7 nights to be paid after checking in on Airbnb.
