This house was born from host Yuka's childhood dream of living in a Moomin house.I lived in Europe for a year, which I had always dreamed of visiting, and was fascinated by the quiet forests and lakes of Scandinavia, which I visited on a short-term study abroad program. A few years later, she met her husband Andy in New Zealand and lived there for three years.After returning to Japan, I chose Takashima City, Shiga Prefecture, where I could feel the air of Scandinavia and New Zealand. And the cute little hexagonal hut at the foot of the mountain that we encountered.The moment I found it, Yuka said, "I want to make this place look like a Moomin house!" Andy finished his ideal log house with DIY to make his dream come true. There is a BBQ grill on the outside wood deck and a fire pit in the pergola area of the garden where you can enjoy a campfire.
