Fantastic stay at Roland & Bettina’s annexe at Sandaig bay in Knoydart, such a tranquil environment to relax and unwind. My adult son & I made good use of the trails they’ve developed locally, up to Roinn na Beinne inland, and to Doune and Inverie along the coast. The sea water is crystal clear, and thanks to the great weather this May we were even able to enjoy swimming in the bay. We’d hiked from Kinloch Hourn overnight car park to Inverie, for a meal and pint in the pub - worth booking ahead due to day visitors on the ferry from Mallaig - before being collected by Roland. Our four nights at Sandaig then passed by all too quickly, with many thanks to Roland & Bettina for their hospitality, before heading back with fond memories of such a special place

Our first visit to Skye and a week made all the better by the property and location. Dorothy was on hand when needed and the property had everything we needed, was really well equipped and had a place for everything. It's at the quieter end of the island, which we liked, but does mean a few more miles to see some of the well known sites. Not an issue, as so many things to see and do on the way north and the scenery never got old. The only small issue for us, was the internet, although it is there, if you need to work while away, or check in with friends/relatives, any video meetings won't work, even some internet browsing, was very slow. Dorothy kindly offered her home and internet connection to use for a client meeting we had, but we re-arranged the meeting, as did not wish to impose on her kind hospitality. Property is 6 miles down a single lane road with passing places that is no issue, as long as you drive safely and navigate the pot holes and sheep. 5 Stars overall.

What a wonderful place! Such a beautiful and relaxing setting - with the bedroom and living room having picture windows over lochs, mountains and islands. The Bothan was perfectly laid out, with nothing missing and spotlessly clean. Log burning fire for a chilly evening with logs provided, and outdoor lounge chairs for when the sun sneaked out! We were even greeted with a basket of local treats. We would have loved to stay a month to soak in the peace! Thank you for having us, we hope to come again.

Hands down one of the best Airbnbs we have stayed in! Ross is a fantastic host, kind and helpful with great local tips. The house was spotless, well equipped and the views are just incredible. The house is filled will stunning original artwork by the owner, which we loved. On our last night we sat in the garden and watched in awe as a pod of porpoise leaped and played down the bay in front of us - just magical! We loved the Sleat Peninsula, you really feel like you get away from it all, and undoubtedly some of the most stunning beaches on Skye and beautiful walks right on the doorstep. We saw otters, seals and deer which was wonderful! What an incredible place, we can’t wait to return!

I spent my 30th birthday in the cabin at Elgol and to say it was magical is an understatement. The cabin itself is gorgeous let alone its setting. If you looking for something special or just a beautiful peaceful escape surrounded by nature this is the place. Thank you for being such kind hosts we would 1000% come back! Suzi and Tom

Den’s place was absolutely wonderful for our weeks stay on Skye. The unit looked brand new with lovely fittings & lots of storage space. The bed was very comfortable but a bit short for us taller people. The ensuite was great with shampoo etc & the shower was great. Easy to use & hot with plenty of pressure though small. The kitchen had everything you would need & he has a note book for you to let him know if there was anything missing or you felt like was needed. I asked for a mirror to dry my hair as there wasn’t anything in the bedroom & it was there that afternoon. Great service. He was just there whenever I emailed him, he was straight back with an answer. He was very helpful about the area & managed to even find a relation for me to meet, which made the stay on Skye a wonderful experience. Being able to do laundry for £1 was great & there was a clothes line to use when the weather was fine or the dryer. Just bring some pegs as we could not find any on Skye at any of the co-ops.

Beautiful place! Easy to get to, wonderful views, and we especially loved the fireplace.

We had the most enjoyable four day stay at Alison’s loft; warm, comfortable, well equipped and in the most peaceful surroundings in a stunning landscape. Waking up to the cuckoo calling every morning was an added bonus. The welcome basket of milk, bread and local beer was well received! A definite 5-star stay.
