Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Valletta

There is something magical about staying in the heart of Mdina!! And despite the impracticalities, we’d happily do it again!! This place is a real unique find!!!! We loved being able to walk around after the tourists had left and enjoy the magic of the place. It’s really ‘money can’t buy’ stuff. The property is exactly as described - not for you if you want luxury and all the modern conveniences - it’s quirky and a bit of an odd layout. It can also be a bit of a challenge with parking/traffic - we struggled one day and can’t imagine what it might be like in the height of summer. Would highly recommend coming up the back way to Greek’s Gate via Triq l-Għarreqin. I would say from 7am - 9pm it can be quite loud, but we were out and about so didn’t bother us. It may sound like we’re being negative, but we’re not… we just think this property deserves guests who appreciate it for what it is and don’t expect it to be something else. Le logement est super, très bien équipé, dans un quartier animé mais une rue paisible, à proximité des transports en commun et des commerces. Shaun est très réactif et à l’écoute. Idéal pour un séjour à Malte !

Malta ist immer einen Besuch Wert, aber Gozo hat die Position der ruhigen und grünen Seite der Inseln. Und inmitten des Herzens von Gozo in Viktoria befindet sich in einer ruhigen, zentralen Seitenstrasse im Stile eines 'house of character' das Apartment von Rowen. Wer dort einkehrt, wohnt nicht nur zur Miete, sondern lebt dort die Zeit, die er dort verbringt: grüßende Nachbarn, alle Annehmlichkeiten des täglichen Lebens sind in der Umgebung wie Restaurants, Eisdiele, Supermarkt (beste Austern!!), und vom Zentrum kommt man an jeden Punkt der Insel in weniger als 20 Minuten. Rowan ist ein perfekter Gastgeber, das Apartment ist 1A gepflegt, es fehlt an nichts incl. allem nötigen Beiwerk zum kochen wie Öl, Salz und Pfeffer. Das mag eine Kleinigkeit sein, aber es ist immer sehr unangenehm, wenn man diese Dinge erst selber für ein paar Tage einkaufen muss. Mein Tip: eine klare Empfehlung, einfach ausprobieren!

We loved absolutely everything about this Airbnb! Not only is it super cute but it had everything we needed for our full week stay. We especially loved being able to do laundry. The location was perfect for us… a quick walk to the beautiful Lower Barrakka Gardens and many restaurants. Also, an easy pick up spot for ride share so we didn’t have to walk far at all with our luggage. The area was super peaceful and quiet at night. The host was quick to reply and incredibly friendly! We hope to stay again!

Great hosts….and a lovely chance to stay in a historic dwelling in a traditional neighborhood. There’s a rooftop deck, a jacuzzi, a beautiful kitchen, this place has it all!

We had a wonderful stay for my birthday and the accommodation was beautiful overlooking the harbour. It was easy to get into the centre of Valletta and close to all amenities. Joseph was a fantastic host and I would highly recommend staying in his apartment on this beautiful island

ottimo soggiorno, l appartamento è stupendo, grande e perfettamente attrezzato. Nonostante l assenza dell aria condizionata si stava benissimo, basta lasciare le finestre aperte, il balconcino è un plus per la sera, zona top, centralissima ma tranquilla, mare (accesso da scogli) a 2 passi, assolutamente consigliato!

This was the BEST Airbnb!!! So close within walking distance to everything in the heart of Valletta and it was so cozy! There is plenty of space. Ana was incredibly responsive and provided so much helpful info in advance to make sure our stay was smooth! Highly recommend this bnb for anyone coming to Malta!

Staying at this penthouse in Malta was such a treat! The space was even more beautiful than the photos — bright, spacious, and with incredible views. It had everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The location was fantastic for exploring the island, and the host was responsive and thoughtful throughout. I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Malta!

Lovely apartment right in the heart of Valletta. Nicola was a great host and very responsive, a good communicator. So many restaurants and cafes on your doorstep. Close to St John’s Cathedral. Within walking distance to the main bus station and ferries. Only downside was that the lift wasn’t working and getting luggage up 4 flights of stairs was horrendous. I enjoyed my stay at the apartment. Highly recommend

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The property is not only in an amazing location – just a few steps from the sea – but also offers a breathtaking view of the water. Waking up to the view of the blue sea every morning felt like a true luxury. We especially loved the hot tub – it was the perfect way to relax after a long day. The apartment was clean, spacious, and beautifully furnished. The hosts were very helpful and friendly, with great attention to detail. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to unwind and enjoy a peaceful, scenic getaway!

Wonderful stay! The location was great! The place was beautiful! We loved the decor. My friend and I went for a fun trip and they helped us with parking and activities recommendations. We had a short stay but it felt like home. Great place to come back to after long days out.

Martina was exceptionally helpful and responsive. Her apartment is lovely and a super base from which to explore the 3 cities region and Malta in general. Such a great find, we loved the pool and hot tub! Rooms were clean and we pretty much had everything we needed. Location perfect for what we wanted and was easy to get about with Bolt. Local area not the prettiest but good selection of restaurants/bars and we had a an amazing time and can highly recommended

We only spent 2 nights but this place was great! Very nice spacious apartment.

The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, plus some lovely extras like fresh coffee and an ironing board. The washing machine’s 15-minute cycle was especially handy for a quick turnaround of clothes. The views from the apartment were extraordinary, both during the day and at night. We didn’t use any of the common areas of the apartment block and wouldn’t have used the pool, so we can’t comment on those. The apartment was ideal for our holiday. We had a car and spent our 10-day stay exploring Gozo and Malta with ease. We would happily stay again if the mattress is replaced—it was very, very uncomfortable. Aside from that it was a great stay. Thank you!

Lovely, spacious apartment that was exactly as described and looked just like the photos. Really well located too, with a supermarket immediately next door and lots of shops, bars and restaurants within a short walk. If you’re up for a longer walk you can even get to Sliema within 15 minutes. Really easy to jump a taxi to Valletta and anywhere else on the island too, or there’s a bus stop right outside the supermarket. Jane was a super host, letting us check-in early and responding within seconds to rescue us when we accidentally locked ourselves out of the building!

J'ai passé 3 semaines dans ce logement, parfait en tous points. Matthew est très réactif et prend soin de ses locataires. Il y avait de la nourriture et de l'eau pour débuter le séjour, c'est un geste très appréciable. Je recommande ce logement et si je reviens à Malte je sais déjà où je séjournerai ! Merci Matthew !

Die Unterkunft war absolut top! Alles war super sauber und bestens ausgestattet – es gab sogar einen Trockner und eine PlayStation. Das absolute Highlight war die private Dachterrasse mit Pool, Jacuzzi und Außendusche – ein echter Traum! Besonders beeindruckend war, wie viel Privatsphäre man dort hatte, obwohl man mitten im Geschehen ist. Svetlana und Daniel waren großartige Gastgeber – super freundlich, immer erreichbar und hilfsbereit. Ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen und kann die Unterkunft wärmstens weiterempfehlen!

Fantastic location with a fantastic view over the harbor the boat and Villetta in the distance. So glad I didn’t stay in Villetta, which is a zoo, crowded with people and cars. Very comfortable very quiet great neighborhood close to sites and restaurants and easy to get to Villetta on the ferry. Fantastic deck with such a huge view, unfortunately the furniture is very marginal a rusty table, old chairs, and two dirty lounge chairs with no cushions, which is a shame because the deck is nothing short of brilliant. I loved my stay there and would stay again especially if the deck gets a little attention

Tolle großräumige Wohnung wie beschrieben. Ausreichend Platz und sauber. Lage in Qormi, Bus nach Valetta um die Ecke (ca 20 min Fahrt). Parkplatz an der Straße vorhanden, abends muss man vielleicht etwas mehr suchen, aber wir haben immer was gefunden in Laufweite. Flexibler und einfacher Check In bzw. Check Out. Clive war super kommunikativ, hat sich sofort um Probleme gekümmert, hat uns einen Parkplatz zu Beginn frei gehalten. Empfehlung von uns, wir kommen gerne wieder!
