Holiday rentals with lake access in Västervik

We loved every minute of our stay at Camilla’s house. It was peaceful and perfect for 4 adults and our one small dog. We especially loved the new sauna - it’s beautifully built, with top of the line heat for the ultimate relaxation experience. The rowboat, the access to the sea, the surrounding lawn and nature trails all added to the perfect weekend to get away! The house is even better than the listing and pictures show. Camilla is the perfect host - helpful, responsive and kind, and she has created a very special place for travelers to rest and relax! We’re so happy we found it and we can’t wait to find a reason and time to be back at her house!

Our vacation in the rather cool, windy pre-season May-mid June was a nice experience thanks to the house. There was also a good place to read, enjoy the view, watch animals. Schären property. Good starting point to explore the area. Travel to hikes, kayak or bike tours mostly only by car, about 15 minutes to supermarkets, gas station. Friendly, attentive care by Ms. Kerstin. Will gladly come back!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage! The communication with the hosts was incredibly friendly and helpful from start to finish. The house was spotless and very well maintained, making us feel comfortable and at home right away. The view over the lake was absolutely breathtaking, and the level of privacy was exceptional — it felt like our own little paradise. One of the absolute highlights was the beautiful jetty right by the lake — the perfect spot for swimming, relaxing, and soaking in the peaceful surroundings. We’d definitely love to come back!

We had a very nice and relaxing time. The place is fantastically beautiful. You can enjoy it in any weather, as it is also super cozy inside. The highlight is the fantastic view of the lake, the nature right in front of us, the private jetty and the seclusion. You can swim, go boating, make campfires or just laze around. During our stay, there was an issue with the toilet. Lars and Katarina took care of it immediately and even offered us an alternative place to stay. The two are very friendly and helpful. We will be happy to come back.

We were in the house as a family with three adult children. Everything was as described and we felt very comfortable, we used the terraces a lot and also the hot tub and the grill. Sometimes deer, hares or squirrels visited. Unfortunately, it was still a little too cold for the beautiful swimming spot. Thank you very much for the nice time

Great location—very peaceful, and the lake is beautiful. Sven is an amazing host: very responsive and super friendly. We had a wonderful time at his house and really enjoyed the getaway from the city. The house is small but well-equipped, and the bed is really comfortable. The highlight for us was the nature and the tranquility, especially while relaxing in the hot tub after a long hike (the nearby Norra Kvill National Park is amazing!). All in all, a great experience—highly recommended! 😊

My friends and I had a lovely few days. The house provided privacy and we enjoyed total silence except for birds singing. The expansive view is not really captured in the pictures, it's much nicer in real life. You lose your chin when you step out on the terrace. Inside the house everything was clean and well disposed. The kitchen is well equipped and the living room offered large windows facing the lake, where often the gaze ended up instead of the TV. The bathroom was modern and fresh. Likewise the bedrooms. The nice surroundings were wonderful for walking. Anna was super nice and quick to respond to questions both before and during the stay. In short: looking for the peace, nature, and a real feel-good experience, this is a given choice. We would be glad to come back! /Tomas

Nice apartment, spacious and clean and neat. Had all accessories. Can recommend for more. We stayed here family of five, while we were a couple of days in Astrid Lindgren's World.

We had a great week walking with our kids in the footsteps of Astird Lindgreen. Bullerbü, Katthult, Vimmerby and Mariannelund were easily accessible. There is a nice swimming lake near the apartment. The food at Anki's cafe is highly recommended. We have experienced a lot and have recovered well at the same time thanks to the spacious apartment and the tranquility in Karlstorp. Thank you!

Fantastic view from Åke's beautiful apartment, which is only 35 minutes from Astrid Lindgren's World. Plenty of space and nice atmosphere. I will definitely stay with Åke again, the next time we are in the area.

A fantastically nice and homey accommodation located in a nice place close to the sea, downtown. Close to good trails to explore in the beautiful nature with large differences in altitude and beautiful view mountains, including Flaggberget, Lejonberget and Majeldsberget.

It was great perfect place for staying on a climbing trip

This place is a slice of paradise. We were immediately overwhelmed by the spirit of this place. Like in a picture book. A beautiful lake where you could swim and fish. The tranquility and the surroundings are simply fantastic. The house offers all you need for a comfortable stay. Pernilla was a super host who provided us with helpful tips and rounded off the stay at this wonderful place with a pleasant conversation at check-out. Thank you for this time. We will be back.

Peaceful place and beautiful nature.

A fantastic stay even that it was unfortunately short for us. But would love to come back to this quiet and lovely environment. And a host who stands out positively with reception and service beyond what you expect. Highly recommended

Our stay with Kerstin and Åke was wonderful! Kerstin is a very warm woman who bakes very tasty bread and we felt like at home. The yellow house is very cozy, very clean and has a nice well-kept garden. It's very quiet and you have a fantastic view of Lake Sommen. You can make a nice little hike in the area. We highly recommend it and would always come back!

Super idyllic and quiet cottage. We were here for a few days with our daughter, she loved playing with the trampoline and the swing. Kristofer was always available and could also help us with a high chair. We can absolutely recommend the cottage.

We had some lovely days in Småland. Cute little house in the middle of the forest. We were both on a trip to Västervig and Astrid Lindgreens Verden. Would love to come back: -)
