Of course there are fish halls at the harbor where you can buy freshly caught fish, and the sale of fresh fish from the side of the fishing boats. Max. 20 minute by car to several amazing nordsealand golf clubs. Close to Denmark's second-largest forest area - Gribskov - National Royal North Zealand with the beautiful castles and magnificent scenes of nature with lakes, forests and beaches. Historically Gilleleje is an old fishing village and it was here that many Jews were transported to Sweden during World War II. Gilleleje Church was a waiting place for Jews until they could be transported. In 1943, 75 Jews were caught by the Gestapo on the church ceiling after a snitch had informed the Germans. Everywhere there are monuments of historical events. Every year there are various festivals in Gilleleje - "Hill" Festival, Harbour Festival, Jazz at the port and The Herring Day. Vi bor i en lille byzone ude ved dejlige landlige omgivelser, på en lukket vej i et privat område. Foruden fuglekvidder og lidt køer der muh'er i det fjerne, er der meget stille og man får slappet godt af hos os. Kun 100m væk ligger der et lokalt stenovnspizzaria og købmand, som vi kun kan anbefale!
