This little retreat is so peaceful and serene. It's the perfect place to unplug and just soak up the nature. The apartment was cozy and had all the right touches to make you feel at home.

An amazing relaxing and secluded spot. Great if you like fishing they also have a dock to dock your boat. best of all was Mickey his wife and Miss Lily. Wonderful people and a wonderful environment that they have provided.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Rick and Christi's Airbnb. The location is perfect for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful getaway, with direct access to the beautiful sandy beaches of Chesapeake Bay. Whether you’re into water activities, fishing, or just taking quiet walks around the serene neighborhood, this place has it all. One thing to note is that this spot is not for those seeking nearby restaurants or bars because there aren’t any in the vicinity—and that’s exactly what makes it so special. It’s a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. Our family, including my wife and 14-year-old child, thoroughly enjoyed our time here. But what truly sets this place apart is the warm and friendly hospitality from Christi. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. A lovely touch was the fresh jalapeño pepper she gave us, which we’re still using in our meals. Thank you, Christi and Rick, for making our vacation memorable.

Lauren's place looks exactly as the photos, it's super clean, so comfy and honestly felt like home. I needed a place for an emergency situation and this home didn't disappoint. I would highly recommend to anyone. The cold water bottles in the refrigerator were a nice touch after a long day of travel.

Betina was amazing and helpful. Property is on a private resort and very close to Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens and lots of wonderful restaurants. The staff at the resort were also extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Being the first guest was a first for me at any air bnb, the setting is extremely peaceful, the yard is an acre with an above ground pool. The host's were absolutely amazing and accommodating going above and beyond with hospitality which meant the world to us! This place and the host's were above and beyond expectations, 10/10 recommend!!

Large space great for groups, the single bathroom does limit your group size however. It was difficult with 5 people getting ready but doable. Any more than that would have been very stressful. The proximity to the farmers market and great c downtown mall spots like citizen burger was ideal for us and getting to UVA grounds for our reunion was a $6 car or free trolley ride away. The house is gorgeous and the back porch was ideal for drinks and snacks before dinner and morning coffee, we wished we had more time to spend in the house and hope to come back in the future!

We rented Jonathan’s house to attend the local graduation of a family member and to visit other family in the area. Jonathan’s place was perfect! Great location in a beautiful, safe, peaceful neighborhood, minutes from restaurants, grocery stores, banks, etc. The house was clean and tidy, and the backyard deck was great. The fenced-in back yard was a huge plus as well, as we could let our dog run free to get out his “zoomies.” Highly recommended, and we hope to stay here again when visiting the area!

This house and property is really special. It is a beautifully maintained and renovated old house, and has great views of the woods and the creek. We enjoyed evenings on the beautiful porch taking in the views. The house itself was well appointed and clean, with minimal/essential furnishings. A few other reviews did mention the noise from the highway and it is true—though it did not disturb us except for in the night, when an occasional loud truck might pass. It was a great base for my family and two small dogs to explore the local sights. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Our 4th stay here! We adore this place. Cannot recommend enough - it’s so peaceful and comfortable. The river is really fun to tube, and there’s a cute little beach a short drive down the road that our kids love. Our family has made some of our best memories here! We will be back!

My daughter and I had a great stay. I didn't see the negative that was posted in other reviews. Very cozy and simple place; the only negative is based on my personality. I like to know in advance check-out procedures to execute how the sponsor wishes—plenty of close-by activities and close enough to the beach. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

There are several highlights of Michelle's Airbnb. First of all, it's clean and quiet. I am a light sleeper and very sensitive to noise, dirt, and heat. But I slept quite well and felt safe and comfortable. Second, it is well furnished, equipped, and decorated. Michelle likes gardening and I enjoyed reading and having my breakfast and dinner in the small yard (who can miss the nice weather in Virginia?!). The commute is also easy-I was here for research and it only took me 1 hour to get to Library of Congress by bus and metro. Harris Teeter, CVS, and some good Latino restaurants are also within walking distance. But the biggest highlight is Michelle herself! She is so welcoming and accommodating. Kitchen and pantry are very accessible. She also allowed me to use her TV to watch subscribed channels. I was happy to make friends with her dog Buck. I would say my experience here is beyond my expectation. I felt so much blessed living here. Trust me-you won't regret booking it!

Thank you for a wonderful stay and for providing such a well-maintained property. My wife and I truly enjoyed celebrating our 5-year anniversary at Smith Mountain Lake, where we were married in 2020. The lake views were beautiful, and we really appreciated the thoughtful touches—the snacks, bar area, and your well-written guides all made us feel very welcome. The facilities were also excellent. Everything was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing and memorable getaway. Just a heads-up: unfortunately, there is one disgruntled neighbor who doesn’t seem to like renters. We had an uncomfortable encounter during our stay, but thankfully, several other residents we met were friendly and welcoming, which made all the difference. Highly recommended overall!
