Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Washington

I gave this 5 stars, and it deserves it. It's a full basement, nearly full kitchen in the bar area. It's decorated like a cool rec room. ( Looks like a fancy, high end "man cave" - low beautiful lighting, a brand new ping pong table, winsporting, beer and wine decorations) But look at the pictures. It's not " cozy". It's cool.

One of the coolest Airbnb’s we have stayed in. Loved the vibe, the wall of windows looking at the trees, and super comfy beds. Would defiantly stay here again.

This house is a great find - it has everything you need to feel right at home and the house and yard are beautiful. The house is extremely well appointed and well stocked. The common area furniture and beds are very comfortable. The gas fireplace was perfect for cool spring nights. The back yard porch was a great place to hang out with comfy furniture, 2 grills, sun umbrellas and a gas fire pit. I love to cook and the kitchen had everything I needed and more. Diana is one of THE BEST Airbnb or Vrbo hosts that we have ever had. She was very responsive, knowledgable, friendly and detail oriented. My wife left her glasses and she mailed them to us overnight. The location is excellent - the neighborhood is peaceful, but very close to the town center stores and activities. Falls Church has a small town feel but is close to all of the attractions of the Wash DC metro area. The house comfortably accommodated me, my wife, our son and grandparents; one-level living was great for grandparents.

Tyler’s place is definitely worth five stars. It’s extremely clean, very spacious, beautifully furnished, and has all the accommodations you need. I’ve got a group of four or five friends who visit a different city every year to watch a baseball game and we were lucky to find this place. It’s in a beautiful neighborhood with a short Uber ride to and from the Mall in DC. We typically will cook breakfast and dinner at home and explore the cities during the day. This house has one of the greatest kitchens I’ve ever seen, as well as a propane grill on the porch. What really put Tyler‘s place over the top for me was the little considerate touches he adds to each room. Whether it was kleenex, q-tips and makeup remover in every bathroom (which obviously we didn’t need 🤣), plenty of books and games, or a jar of coffee and sugar… this place has it all! I couldn’t recommend this listing more!!

Louise’s place was perfect for an active family of 3 - right by the W&OD trail, close to plenty of parks and other family-friendly activities, and easy access to the highway and metro. Everything was as described, clean, and ideal for a relaxed family vacation. We definitely plan on returning for future trips!

If I could give the location of this home more than 5 stars, I would. Very easy walking distance to restaurants, shopping, groceries, and the Metro.

Nice location ten minute or less walk to DuPont Circle. Very spacious below street level apartment.

Maricel’s place was in the perfect location and was exactly what we were looking for. She was incredibly friendly and responsive. We would definitely stay here again!

Alana’s place is really right in the middle of Mt. Pleasant — one of DC’s best neighborhoods. Short walk to breakfast tacos at Tejana, ice cream at MDI, pupusas at Ercilias, the metro, bike share, Malcom X park, etc. It’s amazingly quiet for being right in the middle of everything. A great home base for a DC visit.

This place was in a great location! One block from the metro and a nice bar/restaurant called Bullfeathers very close by. We would stay here again. The only addition I would ask John to consider is to add a small cutting board to the kitchen. John was a great host as he left us a wide assortment of snacks, answered our questions quickly and he left us detailed information with a map to help us even more. Thanks John we had a great time!

Trish’s place was very clean , cozy and spacious! She is a very polite host and we would certainly come back if visiting Bethesda again!

Absolutely my favorite place to stay in Alexandria. The location is perfect, the space is beautiful, not a single complaint. The noise wasn’t an issue at all for me, and I’m a light sleeper. I felt safe in this home and as a solo traveling female that is priceless. Parking was never an issue. Highly recommend.

Great location and easy to walk to all the major sights. A peaceful location and Alan was a great host - very responsive and helpful with suggestions of things to do and restaurants. Will definitely recommend his place for a visit to Washington.

Fantastic place to stay for us. We were on the go constantly from one event to the next and Heather’s place was perfectly located for us to freshen up and change easily. There were plenty of restaurants and stores right nearby as well. The proximity to the metro was amazing. After leaving late one night from an event, we realized just how easy and shorter than expected the walk back to the house was. We couldn’t have chosen a better spot for this trip. We’d definitely come back.

My in laws and I had a great stay at Krystof's house. It was a great location for what we needed and we loved the grocery store down the street. The house is beautiful and we enjoyed the open concept kitchen. They were great hosts and when we had questions they were quick to respond and friendly. We will absolutely plan to stay again!

The place has great views on a nice end lot property; super natural light, high ceilings with comfortable beds! Highly recommended.

The communication was great! Such an easy check in and check out! Neighborhood was quiet and close to several amenities! It was comfy and even though we weren’t there all the time it felt like home. We would definitely stay there again!!

This home is so tastefully decorated and comfortable. Even though it's an older home with original wood on floors and stairs, the wall finishes looks fairly fresh and the kitchen is all upgraded with current amenities. I was pleasantly surprised that it had a large backyard with lawn furniture, grass and trees. The sun room was so comfortable for seating and playing cards, and the office had a nice futon-type bed that folded out for extra sleeping space. The primary bedroom, walk in closet, and bath are super large and beautiful. Lots of restaurants were within a mile of the house, including a Trader Joe's. The only drawback was car sounds at night from Washington Blvd but we got used to it. During our reservation process, Aman addressed my many questions quickly and fully, particularly in terms of what they had for my 1 year old grandson (toys, high chair, port a crib). During our stay, we also communicated easily a few times as questions came up.

I had an outstanding stay at Mitri’s place. Mitri was incredibly responsive and made the check-in process smooth and hassle-free. The space itself was immaculate, thoughtfully decorated, and stocked with all the essentials. The location was perfect—quiet yet close to local attractions and amenities. I particularly appreciated the comfortable room and shared spaces, and the attention to detail that made it feel like a home away from home. I highly recommend Mitri’s place for anyone looking for a top-notch experience. I will definitely be returning!

I will forever be grateful for the amazing weekend my wife and I spent at the Dulles Executive Resort. It was love at first sight when we checked in after an overwhelmed 5 hours red eye flight. We needed a secluded place to rest and it was far better than what we had hoped for even beyond a stretch of our imagination. Beside being conveniently located less than 10 minutes away from IAD, the DER offers so many amenities..Our host welcoming attitude left no room for reproach. To start this review off, Amir was a lifesaver for our group. We had an issue with our other Airbnb where we booked and had to leave at 2:00 AM. Amir responded to our message very late at night and allowed a seamless check-in. Thank you so much! On top of that, we really loved our stay here! The space is very large and comfortable for a group. The coffee bar is stocked too! We loved the outdoor spaces but didn't end up really taking advantage of them. The house is well located in relation to DC and a short drive from the Metro (not walkable). It's a beautiful space and very modern! It's clean, safe, and perfect for a group that wants to spend time in DC and have a peaceful place to return to. A great place to stay!
