Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Wauwatosa

2nd time I've stayed there as it is close to family Had everything needed to stay 3 nights a/c furnace worked well comfy bed & furniture

We had a wonderful stay for our family of 6 and dog! Michael was super responsive and is an excellent host. Beds were heavenly and comfortable. It took us an extra couple of minutes to find the lockbox, as it wasn't next to the front door and we checked in at night, with everything dark, but once found, we had no problems at all.

House was clean. Keypad entry was easy. Neighborhood was quiet enough. Uber/Lift to downtown were never far away or too expensive. Would recommend.

Host was very friendly and helpful. Cozy space to sleep for the night!

Amazingly clean and comfortable. This house was stellar! Well stocked, beautiful home and furnishings, but the number one stand-out was the cleanliness! Thank you for a clean comfortable place to stay.

From the booking through checkout, Elyse had excellent communication. Concise instructions and available for any questions. Elyse’s home was cozy and quaint. It had everything we needed and extras. Plenty of throw blankets, water, and snacks. No need for hand soap, shampoo, etc…all included. All cabinets and drawers in kitchen neatly organized with labels! The bed was very comfortable. We were able to come back from busy days and relax. Even though the house was close to a main road, at night it was quiet as not much traffic. Very safe. Friendly neighbors as well. It is across from a school, but since it was the holiday, I cannot speak to traffic on school days. I highly recommend Elyse’s place; she is an excellent host who strives in great attention to every detail!

We had a very pleasant stay in this safe and family-friendly neighborhood. The house was clean and comfortable and the parking was easy. Hosts were friendly and responsive. Would definitely return when in the area!

We had a great time! It was a nice area that felt safe. There was a nice park in walking distance as well as some restaurants. The house was clean and tidy. I also felt Timothy was responsive and helpful giving instructions.

Ryan's place was good and very close to the city, beaches and cafes. Only issue we ran into was kitchen power went out while cooking dinner. When we reached out. Ryan was quick enough to help us with the instructions to bring power back up. Overall, good place to stay which was within our budget.

Great little spot, super cozy, and very comfortable. I have friends that live in this area and I can stay here whenever I visit them I will. The cafe is freakin adorable and the people working there were so friendly I felt like a regular in one day. Getting a coffee from the shop down the street and enjoying the patio on a sunny morning was so delightful. Plenty of parking too, we had a great stay.

Victoria's place was lovely. She was a great communicator and very esponsive. The apartment was super cute. Just like the photos. Very clean. Great location! Close to downtown. The space was comfortable for four people. It had everything we needed. Thanks for great stay! would highly recommend it!

Sheila place was perfect for our trip in Milwaukee. It was super close to the church we was attending, and close to downtown to take the kids out for a walk. Sheila is an outstanding host and went beyond to help our needs. She welcomed my kids with some fun snacks and surprise them with morning treats. I also requested a highchair for my baby and she had it ready for me when we arrived. I highly recommend her place. Thank you Mrs. Sheila!!!

This place was nice and clean. Bigger than I expected from the pictures, very open and roomy. The host was very helpful, particularly with giving us heads up about street parking and such. She made every single effort to make sure we moved our car before it got towed. Which we did right in the nick of time. I'm definitely saving this place to stay next time I come to Milwaukee!

Loved the personal touch of the light snacks and bottle of wine. Perfect place to stay during our mini trip. Our family enjoyed it, communication was great and I would recommend staying at their home.

Nice clean small space. Colorful neighborhood biked to a Brewers game with bikes in the garage!

Had a great time, loved the neighborhood and proximity to attractions we planned to visit. Will say that you can definitely hear noise between floors so I would not stay with our young children again because while I fortunately believe no one was overlapping with us, it was very obvious when cleaners arrived on our check out day. Downstairs neighbors probably wouldn't have appreciated children above them! Beautiful place and I'm obsessed with the wallpaper.

Once we landed in Milwaukee, we texted Jodi to let her know when we expected to arrive at her place. She quickly responded that she had some errands but provided the entry code and made us feel welcome. We got settled in and then she reached out via text to let us know she had returned. She came up to meet us in person and helped us understand the city requirements for parking on the street. She had already provided the URL to the registration site and just made sure we were comfortable with what needed to be done. She later informed me that I'd parked on the wrong side of the street so that I could move the vehicle so that it didn't get a ticket. I appreciated that. We were out and about most of the time we were there. The notes that she had placed throughout were very helpful. The booklet that she printed was very clear and her expectations were reasonable and easy to meet. It's an older home, but very quaint and pretty cool.

We rented this entire house, both upper and lower units (separate listings) for our wedding across the street at South Shore Pavilion. This rental was outstanding and created a beautiful and stress free home-base for our wedding guests and weekend. The bridal party was able to get ready here before the ceremony and guests from out of town had clean private bedrooms to stay in. Awesome eclectic vibe and plenty of places to relax, with plenty of extra room. I recommend this rental to anyone spending an important weekend in Bayview, like a wedding. The next door neighbors were courteous and very tolerant of our busy weekend. Instructions were clear for how to stay out of their way and how to be good guests in the neighborhood of mostly homeowners. I would not consider this a “party house” given the context of the neighborhood and rather a beautiful relaxing domain to enjoy the best neighborhood in Milwaukee.

Nikki was super accommodating and always quick to respond to any questions we had. We had an amazing time on our girls trip — the penthouse was absolutely gorgeous and spotless. The decor was stylish and welcoming, and the location couldn’t have been more convenient. Would 100% recommend staying here and would definitely book again!

Hidden gem. You don’t expect it, if you know Milwaukee since 1974 like me. It is a delightful home away from home.
