Barn accommodation in West Berkshire

Ingrids place is probably one of the best airbnbs we have stayed in. The location is idyllic, completely surrounded by fields and chalk streams but villages within walking distance. It has everything, and more, in terms of facilities and equipment. The bed linen was of a high quality which added to a great night sleep ( something I struggle with even at home!). The furniture and decor was stylish but homely. And the garden beautiful. I loved them. Ingrid was so friendly and helpful. We were attending a wedding locally and not only did she help with providing us with a reliable taxi driver but drove us to the venue herself which was so lovely of her. Yes...the track on arrival is a bit precarious but it should not put you off...go slowly and its fine...and well worth it when you get there

Bronwen is a fantastic host and a warm and friendly person who offers a perfect mix of helpfulness and respect for privacy. The accommodation was ideal for my needs working nearby. It was very quiet and peaceful, full of birdsong, and I felt extremely safe and secure.

This is an excellent location! Taxi stand across the street and of course the train station, about 10 minutes to Bath on the train. It was clean and tidy, and a good kitchen, everything you need, with a Sainsbury express right across the street to stock up. I did not have a car, but there is parking. And you can walk over the train tracks to the pub, the Old Road Tavern.

The home is beautiful, exactly as pictured, in excellent condition and perfectly clean. The location is picturesque and quite private. Hermione is an excellent host and was extremely helpful during our stay, providing recommendations for food, things to see and do as well as support for any issues we had. We would absolutely stay here again, it was an exemplary experience!

Such a lovely home, we didn't want to leave! Hosts were excellent communicators and also very warm and kind people. Loved our walks along the canal and peaceful surroundings. We will be back!

Hazel barn is a fantastic place to stay if you are looking for a relaxing break away in the Hampshire countryside. Fantastic views from all windows and great for wildlife spotting. A few sightings of deer were had across the couple of days we were there. Emilie was so kind and helpful via messages and although we didnt get to meet her during our stay we knew she was there if required. A great weekend and would highly recommend. Particularly if visiting the nearby Bombay Sapphire Distillery!

Lovely place, great for a couple as a base. It is on country road between two villages so road do not have a footpath if you are planning to walk. The fields do have footpaths sign-posted so can get iff the road after a few minutes walk. The bed was lovely, thick and comfortable. Had everything you need to cook for yourself. I did set off the smoke alarm because I am not used to an electric oven 🤗 Shower was great. A bit tight to get in for the larger gent but water was always hot and very good pressure. I was there for work but enjoyed staying the and would stay again. So much more relaxing than a hotel room.

We’ve just had the most wonderful few days in the Cotswolds at Neil and Janet’s barn. Beautiful location, super comfy beds and a well stocked kitchen, thank you. The property is so much bigger than it looks in the photos.

We had a wonderful time at the Stone Barn! Nicky and Mark provided a beautiful home away from home that couldn’t have been better. It’s so peaceful and the views are amazing. The place was clean (beware if you’re not a fan of spiders though as there are a decent amount in corners, bathroom, etc due to the countryside location I’m sure) and they even gave us a lovely welcome package with local food items. They were responsive and made sure we had everything we need. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to call home in the Cotswolds area. We were within 1-1.5 hrs drive of all the major sightseeing places which was perfect.

I booked this stay for my husband's 70th birthday with our family. There was 10 in total. The greeting was lovely and David explained everything about his property with passion and warmth. Im not surprised the place has the 'wow' factor for myself and family. The converted narn had beautiful features very pretty but David has introduced some great electric blinds, lighting, modern kitchen but fits with the period property. Fab tennis court, David provided balls and bats for guests to to use. David then took us to the pool area and extra bedroom and we were blown away. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay. Lovely towels at pool and bedrooms. Plenty of hot water. Pool warm, jacuzzi great. We absolutely loved our time at Davids property. Would defo recommend. Top class.

Our family had a lovely stay. The cottage was very cosy, clean and in a great location though it would certainly require a car. I would definitely recommend staying here and would stay again.

Carthorse Barn is just simply stunning ! So spacious and beautifully decorated, we felt right at home . The day we arrived weather was not the greatest so having a wood stove was blissful. The cottage is very spacious and has everything needed for a comfortable stay , kitchen is fully equipped, downstairs toilet a welcomed bonus. Upstairs both bedrooms are immaculate, spacious and have very comfy beds . I loved the window bench in the kids bedroom, such a wonderful nook to relax. The main bedroom has the biggest and comfiest bed I have ever seen , such a beautiful wooden headboard too. I loved the free standing bath. The farm is also lovely and we enjoyed going to see the pigs and walking round the lakes.

Our stay was absolutely magical! The place exceeded all our expectations — it was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The host was incredibly kind, responsive, and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The location was perfect: peaceful, close to nature, and ideal for creating unforgettable memories with the family.

We had a lovely stay at Ana’s house. It had everything we needed to stay in and relax, and some great pubs nearby to eat out too. It was more spacious than the pictures suggest, with a great living area which looked out over a grassy field, trees and river. We managed some very British wildlife sightings too from the comfort of the living room with visits from red kites, deer and a young hare! Ana went above and beyond as a host welcoming us on arrival with a fresh loaf of home baked sourdough bread. It was a perfect stay!

We had a lovely stay at Olivia's with our parents and our daughter so suitable for groups of all ages. Absolutely perfect location and very central to many points of interest in the Cotswolds from walks to restaurants to villages to visit. Olivia was extremely responsive and communicative, proactively recommending some pubs and restaurants and activities. The large kitchen and garden were particularly great for our group. Would definitely stay again.

I’ve never felt so completely at ease, this house felt just like home. It’s warm, comfortable, and boasts an incredible countryside view. The nights were serene and quiet, and I always felt safe. The décor is cozy, and the place is well‑equipped. The host was always available and kind, promptly addressing my only two requests (and that’s because everything else was already perfect). The bedding is top‑quality, the kitchen has everything you could need, and the TV is large with excellent picture quality. After nearly 40 days, I’m feeling nostalgic about leaving. If I ever return to this area, I would love to stay in this house again. I can only express my heartfelt thanks—it was an absolute pleasure!

Janet’s place was great. Really comfortable and had everything you could need. It was very well designed and thought out, perfectly clean and really cosy. I would not hesitate to stay again if in the area and would recommend it to anyone. Thanks for a brilliant stay.

We stayed at this AirBnB for 3 nights and this place is amazing, especially if you like the country side of England! Close to many amenities (hiking, grocery stores, southampton) as well as less than hour from top attractions (Stonehenge, etc). The cottage itself is very comfortable for 4 adults with a full furnished kitchen to cook for your family or/and friends. The place also had a washer/dryer available which was very useful before our cruise. Thanks you again for the stay! We will be back for sure !

A beautiful hidden gem in the Cotswolds countryside! You can get more peaceful and relaxing than this! A lovely cake on arrival, clean fresh bedding and towels. Everything you need in the kitchen. A lovely little courtyard and dog friendly. We had an amazing 2 night stay for my birthday. Finding the games, Scrabble and connect four gave us a few giggles. Lovely walks around the area... I highly recommend this beautiful converted barn / mill house. It has everything you need from toiletries to blankets and fans if it's hot to logs if it's cold. We would be back in a heartbeat 💓 thank you Valerie & Marcus!

A beautiful, modern barn conversion in a pretty and quiet village. Helen was the prefect host, providing a useful array of kitchen basics, showing up with a fan & A/C unit when the space became hot in the warm weather, and being extremely responsive to queries.

Great place exactly as described! Rebecca is very responsive and made me feel very welcome.

This was a perfect place to relax and recalibrate for a few days. Karen and Phil have great vision and their gardens and grounds are full of surprises at every turn. The grounds give onto the Chiltern way so great for walkers! There was a lovely welcome and great communication throughout! Thank you!
