We had such a lovely stay at the Potting Shed. The location was beautiful- so peaceful and picturesque. The Airbnb was cosy and the bed was extremely comfy. We were there in 30 degree heat but it was lovely and cool inside. Would highly recommend and would love to come back one day and stay again!

This was only a short day for us but after a couple of days we felt so relaxed in a beautiful property. We sat out in the garden a lot which we found very peaceful and relaxing. The garden is an amazing space with very thoughtful planting. Will definitely stay again.

What a gem of a place. Tranquil, lovely views from the bedroom, cosy cottage with a relaxing modern feel to it. Thankful that Chris/Freya could accommodate at the last minute, as we booked the night before quite late. We had a lovely surprise when we arrived, to find out a few lambs were resting in the small barn next to our garden patio with their mamas before they could be released into the field. It was such a highlight seeing the lambs jump around and stretch their legs as we sipped our coffees in the morning. Great location, approx 40min drive to Heddon Valley (we did a 24km run/hike from Heddon to Combe Martin, with a stop and looped back), and it's a 12min drive to Withypool if you want to do a big circular loop approx 12km to the Tarr Steps and back. You will have suggestions of places to visit in the welcome pack and a mal on the wall. The cottage comes with all the kitchen appliances you need. We also got to purchase some fresh eggs too, tasty! A perfect short weekend stay :)

This was one of the best Airbnbs I’ve stayed in so far. The space was very spacious, clean, and beautifully maintained. The host greeted us warmly upon arrival and was incredibly kind. She took the time to walk us through all the facilities and explain how everything worked, which was much appreciated. The property also includes a large farm, which was a pleasure to explore — peaceful and perfect for a nice walk.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Cider Barn. It was peaceful with beautiful views and we were lucky that the weather was good so we were able to make use of the pretty garden at the back. The house had a well equipped kitchen, a comfortable bed and a good shower. It was lovely to meet Sandra who was very friendly and the homemade oat cookies were delicious and much appreciated as were the eggs and milk. We would love to come and stay again in the future.

A lovely home away from home with beautiful views of gentle rolling hills. We saw deer and a fox which was a bonus for us. The unit had everything we required to cook our evening meals (local pub has limited opening hours & wasn’t open during our stay), the bed was very comfortable and the shower was good. Lyn and David are the most wonderful hosts! David build the home from the ground up and it is very beautiful! We loved how homely it felt, comfortable beds, views that are out of this world and a really peaceful place to be! We can’t thank you both enough for allowing us to share your slice of Mendip Hills beauty!! Lyn left some homemade scones which were to die for! We have to revisit as we didn’t explore all the amazing walks and Wells in more detail , and would not think twice to stay again. PS there is a beautiful little shepherds hut nearby with the same amazing views also built by David (Lyn said because he was bored!) Hopefully David remains bored, we look forward to his next amazing space/s. We highly recommend you visit!

we absolutely loved our stay at the cabin. Andy and Sam made us feel so welcome. The cabin was perfect for our little family. Our 3 year old son especially enjoyed feeding the animal, the chickens in particular. The location was spot on and the perfect mix between country and seaside with the beach being 30 minutes away. would definitely recommend.

We had amazing stay at Axe Valley View for a long birthday weekend in June. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay with beautiful valley views. We especially loved how wildlife and eco-friendly it was, both inside and out. A short drive to Lyme Regis where we attended the Fossil Festival 2025 and great local hiking routes, including Golden Cap in Bridport. Alison was a lovely and welcoming host and we would highly recommend a visit.

Great proactive and helpful communication with Paul from our initial enquiry and throughout our stay. A beautiful cottage in an excellent location. Cottage was very clean and well maintained, and matched the description and photos in the listing. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and a great shower. Good internet. The generous welcome basket was a great addition. Garden provided a safe haven for our Jack Russell’s to roam carefree with lovely seating areas for us to relax and enjoy the sunshine. Private parking area with access to the garden and cottage was good. Easy access to footpaths direct from outside the cottage was great for dog walks without having to use the car - beautiful countryside to explore right on the doorstep. Excellent choice of pubs, restaurants, coffee shops, takeaways etc within easy reach. Would happily recommend Paul’s place to family & friends, and very much hope to make a return visit ourselves.

Helen and Paul’s place is the most beautiful and thoughtfully curated Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. This home truly goes above and beyond, every room is filled with beautiful, thoughtful touches that made our stay feel so special. From homemade sourdough bread waiting for us, to individual toiletries and everything you could possibly need already provided, it was clear how much care and love has gone into creating this space. The garden was absolutely stunning, with cozy, comfortable furniture perfect for relaxing. And the hot tub under the stars! Just magical. The entire stay felt like a peaceful retreat, and we left feeling completely recharged. Helen and Paul were the perfect hosts — incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Excellent stay at Pithayes cottages, great location for us as we were attending a wedding at Rockbeare Manor. Accommodation was as described and really clean. Jenni was a great host and very friendly and helpful prior to check and on our arrival. Would highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if we are visiting the area again

Sally was a great host, welcomed us in and explained everything so we could make the most of the amenities. She recommended great places to go and the shepherd's hut was lovely and cosy. Can't ever go wrong with a hut tub too! Would stay again!

This is by far the best Airbnb I’ve stayed in. Beautifully decorated throughout, so many homely, thoughtful touches, the most peaceful beautiful scenery and such warm, welcoming hosts. You really couldn’t wish for more. This was our second visit and we’ll certainly return. Everything throughout is so carefully thought of, from beautifully soft linen to indulgent soap and toiletries, I can’t rate our stay highly enough and would recommend Clare for a Super Super host if this was an option. Thank you both so much.

Debbie’s place is a little piece of paradise, the setting is stunning, the gardens are fantastic and the cottage is warm and cosy whilst also being spacious and really well laid out. We had everything we needed and immediately felt at home. The open plan kitchen into the cosy living room left us all feeling connected, utility space was really useful, conservatory with stunning views allowed us to dine together and relax during the day. Outside area is also stunning for meals on the patio and bbq’s and the hot tub was great to relax in on an evening looking at the stars in peace and tranquility.. there’s a slight walk up to the property across a field but once you’re in the cottage and its gardens it’s worth every step. Great for the dogs too. Loads to do in the area, our highlight was Lyme Regis beach.. many thanks to Debbie and everyone who made us feel so welcome. We would go back to Debbie’s place in a heartbeat!

We chose this venue as it was recommended by Upton Barnes’s wedding venue where my son and his fiance were getting married. We were able to accommodate all of my side of the family for the wedding and the newly married couple joined us on Sunday to entertain members of the wedding party With a cooked breakfast followed by a barbecue lunch. There was plenty of space seating and parking for the approximately 25 people who visited us over the day.. Tracey was very helpful host and the house was equipped extremely well a three-year-old grandson had an enormous range of toys to entertain him. I cannot recommend this property more highly

Beautiful setting and a beautifully built log cabin. Peaceful and tranquil. Well worth the money and we will return in the future. Visitors need to visit the anchor inn in seatown for lovely food and drinks

Really lovely place and lovley scenery Nicely decorated and maintained Lots larger than we expected! You can really see the host really put efforts in maintaining the house rather than just do the bare minimum to rake in money

We had a fabulous stay at Lizi's accommodation - it was absolutely perfect & Lizi was most helpful - loved the Hot Tub in the lovely private garden. We will definitely be back !!

The Old Stables felt like home, and is in a lovely setting. The views from the garden are lovely and you can hear the river and birds. Our stay gave us exactly what we needed, and Ian was a large part of that as he helped us feel relaxed and totally at home. It is a beautiful area, with plenty of lovely river walks and places to visit. We enjoyed relaxing in the garden, reading, and playing croquet. Ian is an excellent host and a lovely person. As someone else said one of the best places we have stayed in. And, yes, the bed was very comfortable. When the temperature rose Ian provided us with a very effective fan.

The place is fantastic, secluded and in front of an amazing view of the countryside. Would highly recommend this place, and the host, who was responsive, kind and recommended top quality restaurants and hikes
