Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in West Sussex

I had a comfortable room in Jane’s home. Other guests arrived and we had a fine time connecting in Jane’s kitchen. Jane laid out a simple nourishing breakfast, made coffee or tea. The location was excellent. Jane was a considerate and friendly hostess. Thank you!

My son and I had a wonderful one night stay at Peelers. It's a gorgeous house with lovely spacious rooms overlooking the village church. James was very helpful in suggesting local places to eat (great Thai restaurant at the White Harte pub). Lovely breakfast. All just as we could have wanted. Thank you!

Fabulous host who went out of his way to help us get to a nearby wedding, including flexibility on early check-in and offers of lifts. Rooms were very comfortable and we really appreciated our delicious cooked breakfast. Felt like we were staying in a warm, family home rather than just some rooms. Thank you very much John. We hope all our future Airbnb's will live up to your standards.

Janet and Andrew were welcoming and helpful. The room was very comfortable and spotless. Off road parking was great as our car was packed full and it was nice to know it was just below our bedroom window. Lovely quiet, private street about 20 mins walk into the town. We enjoyed coffee and breakfast of cereals, toast and fresh fruit with Janet and Andrew the following morning.

What a fabulous cottage AND host ! Chris was super friendly , helpful , attentive and full of local recommendations. Thoroughly recommended. Look forward to a return visit soon.

A lovely stay

We had one night with JayneAnn and it was perfect for what we needed. JayneAnn was lovely and always very quick to respond.

Jill was a delightful. if we had more energy, im sure we would have both liked to have gotten to know her better, and ask about her trinkets and seemingly very full life to date.

We had such a lovely night at Richard’s place. Right on the beach beautiful views from the bedroom and balcony downstairs. We felt very at ease with Richard who is very welcoming and lovely to chat too. Great breakfast. Would happily go back there. Thanks Richard!

Alison is the perfect host and serves you a wonderful continental breakfast. Room and bathroom are very tidy and clean. I loved the location of the accomodation in a very quite and private neighbourhood and just 5 minutes walk to the most beautiful street and area of Lewes. Thank you!

We had the loveliest little getaway, everything was perfect from start to finish. The place was clean and cosy, and the hot tub was such a treat, especially with the peaceful setting. Thank you for being such a great host and making everything so smooth and stress-free. We left feeling relaxed and recharged. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a romantic break or a peaceful escape.

Alex and Rebecca are kind and friendly hosts. They gave me plenty of recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the historic town of Arundel. The room has a very comfortable bed, lots of books and a view of the cathedral. Although not en suite, guests have their own bathroom on the next landing. Breakfast is generous and Daisy the whippet is beautiful!

Room was perfect. Spotlessly clean, ideal location and Natalie was an excellent host. Would definitely stay again next time in Brighton

Thank you Bev for such a pleasant stay. We had a wedding at Southlands barn which was only a 6 min drive away from the b&b, perfect location! The room was clean, spacious and Bev really had thought of everything you might need being available in there. I was particularly grateful for the coffee machine and makeup wipes 😍 The breakfast was healthy and again, just what was needed. Thanks for being such a welcoming and thoughtful host!! We were after a relaxing break and that’s exactly what we got. Elaine is a keen gardener and her garden was beautiful. We relaxed watching the garden birds whilst sitting on the amazing window seat. Elaine’s attention to detail is second to none. Elaine made immediate contact and responded promptly to any requests for local advice. She asked about food intolerances and I said so long as there’s plenty of tea and milk we’ll be fine - what a selection of teas, coffees, hot chocolate, milk, jams, marmalade’s, butter, natural yoghurt, orange juice, fresh fruit and the most delicious homemade bread. Elaine and her husband were the perfect hosts and we will be looking to return here in the future. Everything is as described. Would highly recommend. Thank you Elaine and Bruce for your hospitality. A lovely one night stay in Janet's lovely home. Made very welcome by Janet who was very friendly and easy to get along with. The accommodation was perfect for us and was very clean and fresh. It was extremely quiet and we slept well. We were given a lovely continental breakfast in the morning which was great. Car parking was right outside the front door and very safe and secure. All in all a lovely visit and thank you Janet for your hospitality!

I had the best time. Ray, Tracy and their family made me feel like one of the family. They even invited me to have a drink with them all. I felt like I had known them for years. They were all so friendly and so helpful. Ray even came in the car to show me where the train station was to pick up my daughter. Tracey took me to show me where the other local train station was. I cannot recommend this place enough. Everything is as you see on the listing. I am pretty fussy using other peoples bathrooms but it was my favourite room. So sweet and calming. I spent the warm evening sitting in the garden with the adorable Louie reading. The whole vibe of the neighbourhood was very relaxing.

Perfect place to stay for the Brighton Marathon. The accommodation was very clean, spacious, comfortable and peaceful. Easy access into Brighton, host very helpful.

Stayed at Jan's place for 2 nights; me and my partner couldn't asked for a better place to stay. It's a few minutes walk to the beach and about 1 minute away from the town centre. Will happily return in the future. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at Lordington Park for my husband’s birthday weekend. Harriet and the staff were very welcoming and looked after us and our two sausage dogs. The room was beautiful and we loved the gardens, particularly as there were plenty of areas for the dogs to run around and let off some energy. We would highly recommend a visit!

Our stay was very short due to arriving late and having work the next day. But we were so happy with our stay. It was perfect for what we needed and it would’ve been lovely if we could stay longer. We had everything we needed, the place was spotless and check in was super easy and flexible. Was lovely to chat to Michael in the morning who was very friendly and helpful. Thanks for a great stay, hopefully we’ll stay again in the future.

A lovely single room within walking distance to the town centre and beach. Huge bathroom with big towel provided. Lots of toiletries and nice touches such as coffee, choice of teas and biscuits in the room, along with fresh fruit and milk in the fridge located in the bedroom. Would definitely recommend staying here 😊

I will echo everything anyone who has stated with Chris and Michele! They are the kindest people we have ever stayed with. Every detail was thought of by our incredible hosts. Michele goes above and beyond! She even made us reservations at the local pub for dinner. The house and garden is the most adorable I have ever seen. Our only regret is that we only stayed one night! Please please please, if you have an opportunity, stay with Chris and Michele!! We will be back!!
