Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Wilmington

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend while visiting family, and couldn’t have asked for a better Airbnb experience. I came with my husband and our 4-month-old, and the space was perfect for us. The apartment is on the 3rd floor, so we got a bit of a workout with the baby gear, but the peacefulness and great location made it totally worth it. It’s in a quiet, safe neighborhood—with outdoor security cameras and a designated parking spot (a little tight, but appreciated!). We loved being able to walk to Scout Coffee for excellent iced lattes and breakfast sandwiches. The hosts were warm, welcoming, and super responsive. They thoughtfully provided a Mamaroo bouncer, which our baby absolutely loved. They also offered a pack ’n play if we needed it. The place was exactly as described—very clean, cozy, and well-stocked with coffee, snacks, trash bags, and more. The only small thing we missed was a pair of scissors. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will be booking again

My fiancé and I traveled back to Delaware for my daughter’s college graduation at UD. It was perfect for our stay and lots of space. Couch is super comfortable. My favorite part was the outdoor area with the TV and fire pit. It was so cozy and nice to relax in the evening watching some shows. It was really nice having a washer and dryer too.

The location was wonderful. I have been working in Wilmington for years but had never been in Arden. What a gorgeous spot that is, and so very convenient to all of Wilmington and so easy to hop on and off the highway. Susan was extremely kind and thoughtful and we appreciated her advice and help. We had our little Havanese with us and it was so convenient to have a fenced in back yard so that she could easily go in and out. It was a lovely stay.

Great place. Clean and well-equipped. VERY nice neighborhood. Could go for a quiet walk in the neighborhood, but close to restaurants, etc. Would recommend!

My wife and I had the best experience at this guest house. Lisa is an amazing host. Lisa blessed us with fresh eggs in the fridge from the farm. Lisa also had fresh milk, yogurts, apple cider, granola, and homemade cakes for us. The guest house and the whole property will take you back in time. The guest house was squeaky clean from top to bottom and had the perfect amenities for out stay. If you are on the fence between renting this property or another property in the area, rent this property for your vacation. You will not be disappointed!!

Such an adorable street! It was quiet stay and well stocked for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was our favorite! Beautifully laid out and had all we need to prepare meals while there. The beds were comfortable and the two bedrooms offered privacy for both couples. The showers were spacious, with great water pressure and temperature. If you walk half a mile, you will discover a gorgeous creek and walking trail. It was great to walk it after breakfast. It’s a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk to restaurants, book stores, etc. The neighbors are friendly too! I would definitely recommend staying here!

Kennett Square was an easy walk from our “home”. The restaurants were a great variety. I loved the coffee shops. Went in as many little shops as possible. Everyone was very friendly towards us. Matt’s place was perfect for three ladies going to garden tours. It was clean and has all the amenities we needed.. I would definitely come back and stay at the same place. This made our trip enjoyable and we made lots of memories. Thank you.

Esther's place was very beautiful. We wished we didn't have to rush in and out and had more time to explore the farm. I slept really well (firm mattress and flat pillow). If you prefer a puffier pillow, there were 2 of those but I opted for the flatter one. Super clean. We're grateful for the water bottles. The white noise machine in the other room came in handy for the baby, since we forgot ours. Highly recommend staying here.

We had such a lovely stay at Jeanette’s place while attending my 20-year reunion at Swarthmore College. The place was impeccably clean and thoughtfully stocked, the bed was super-comfortable, the location was perfect (a nice 25-minute-ish walk to campus), and Jeanette was wonderfully communicative and accommodating throughout. Highly recommend!

Great location. Nice neighborhood. Unit offers everything you need. Upgraded very cool bathroom. Large bed. Easy walking to downtown area. Nice balcony to sit outside. Included a parking spot. We liked the unit and would stay again.

Henry and Erika's place was so wonderful in every way. I cannot express enough how much I loved it there, from the inside of the cottage to the peaceful outside surroundings. The bed was so comfortable that I slept like a princess. The shower was modern and super clean. Kitchen was perfect size and immaculate. I loved all the flowers surrounding the cottage and the goats in the barn next to the cottage. I had a busy day and coming back to rest and relax in their cottage was a luxury. One thing to note, their parking area can only accommodate two small cars, but parking on the grass next to the cottage solves the problem.

Recommend! It was our time in Philly going to a concert at The Mann. Location was convenient for venue, and price was fair for the two nights we stayed. Not the best area and parking was challenging since it’s all just neighbor street parking, but manageable. Driving distance was good for downtown Philly or department store shopping etc. Andrew was a great host and made sure we had all we needed. Would stay again if in the area!

This is a lovely place to stay and so quiet and private! Skeitha is a great host. She adjusted the temperature for me and checked in everyday to make sure I had what I needed. The place is comfortable and had everything a guest could want and more! And when her listing says the place is clean, you can believe it, because it was spotless! From here, it's easy to get into the center of Philadelphia and also to do things further outside of Philadelphia, so it's a great location. And last, but certainly not least, it is a fantastic bargain. So stop swiping and book this airbnb now.

The Bumble Bee is an adorable home tucked away in the middle of downtown New Castle, DE. It has all the charm & comfort you would hope for in an old town with updated modern conveniences.

Abbey’s place was a perfect location for the price. You could easily walk to everywhere downtown! It was also a perk that there was Southern Market right across the street. They supplied a sound machine because it is on a Main Street but I slept perfectly fine with it on! They had plenty of amenities where I could do laundry or cook while our stay there. It would be perfect for a longer stay as well. I plan on coming back here again if I were to stay in Lancaster!

Great property for an active family on the road.

Marc place was a little piece of paradise looking over a wide vista of trees and distant beautiful architecture ….. street parking was no problem and it was close to everywhere it seemed! It was quiet and secluded and cosy warm ☺️

Great place to stay, looks just like the photos, and is a great feel for the space. Water didn't get as hot as I would like but still gets to a nice temperature. If getting there later in the day, plan to look for parking as it is all street parking. Availability for parking was within a block or so, which was fine. Overall great night's stay!

We had a great time at this adorable little spot! We are return travelers it was so cute. There is a lot of cool, old, restored, and interesting antique stuff for those that are into that to be all over. No worries though, everything internet and TV option wise is perfect. Evan responded to every question within a few minutes, and I met him in the adorable store that him and his wife own. Kind person, cool stay. Will likely return:)

Danni's place offered a relaxing stay for my family of four (including toddler & infant). Her responsiveness before & during the trip was greatly appreciated, as were her clear instructions & city guide. The home offers up multiple places to congregate after a day of touring the city -- the rooftop in particular was lovely even if the weather didn't cooperate. The kitchen was functional and came with a nice welcome basket that my children loved. I also really appreciated the baby items -- gates for the staircases, all outlets covered, toys, a crib, pack n' play, and baby bath. These amenities made it an easy decision to forgo a hotel and made our packing a bit easier too! Fairmount is a walkable neighborhood with plenty of food & coffee options, as well as on-street parking. Hope to visit again soon!
