Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Wisconsin River

We had an amazing stay! The home was spotless, cozy, and beautifully designed—exactly like the photos, but even better in person. One of the highlights was definitely the hot tub—clean, private, and perfect for relaxing after long days of exploring. The host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, providing clear instructions and thoughtful touches throughout our stay. Everything we needed was there—from soft towels and comfy beds to a well-stocked kitchen. The location was quiet and peaceful. Whether you’re here to unwind or adventure, this spot is a perfect home base. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable, and memorable stay!

Took my father and a couple of friends up to fish the river for the weekend. We came across Tims place and it couldn't have worked out any better. Private cabin setting with water access. Tim was very accomodating and responsive. I would highly reccomend, just don't have it booked next time we want to visit again!

A great experience overall. Very clean and well furnished spaces. A nice book with instructions and places to visit. We enjoyed our coffee and meals in the outdoor space.

Alissa’s home was just perfect. It had everything we needed for a short stay. I can see why people stay there often and longer. The beds - pillows, sheets, and mattresses - were so comfortable, and the kitchen & bathroom had everything we needed. The surrounding property made for a serene few days of reading & gazing at the river valley.

Our stay was fantastic, the photos don't do the space justice though. The spaces are very open, clean, and not cluttered. Everything was in working order. The bathroom had amazing water pressure and there were tons of towels in the house. I think every bedroom had their own stack available plus those that were in the bathroom. I'm sensitive to scents and there were no air fresheners and the sheets were only lightly scented. For accessibility, there are stairs leading up to the porch without a ramp but the entire first floor was accessible with no steps or lips on the doors. The bathroom doesn't have grab bars. The kitchen has all the basics. If you come with a larger group (there were just 2 of us) maybe bring some additional cutlery along with you. Some basics have been left by past stayers so I'm not sure if it's normally kept stocked with things like olive oil, salt, pepper, etc. The only issue we had was the power went out but Amanda kept us updated. She's great!

Alpine Oasis was a true, relaxing getaway. The outdoor area has everything you could want/need (pontoon boat, paddle boat, peddle boat, kayaks, hot tub, fire pit, hammocks, etc). We were always outside enjoying nature and it felt very private and relaxing. Books were read and good company was had! The kitchen was fully equipped and we cooked often but also went out to enjoy some Wisconsin Supper Clubs! Grocery store was close, as was a delicious bakery and country market. As a bonus, a dog is welcome! We loved our time here and hope to return!

We took our boys on a fishing trip and we all really enjoyed Jays place. Everything we could have needed was supplied, views were gorgeous and the dock on site made fishing everyday super convenient. We had some rain but found the cabin to be very relaxing & spacious with plenty of games and movies to keep the kids occupied! Jay was very helpful in sharing the best fishing holes and answering any questions promptly. We would be happy to stay here again, thanks Jay!

This cabin was perfect for us (family of four-all adults). Very clean, had everything we needed and nice location. Nic is a super host…very responsive, friendly and helpful. The cabin had touches that really makes a stay nice: welcome basket, plenty of towels, comfortable beds and a fully furnished kitchen. Thank you for sharing your cabin.

Our stay at Loon Lake was wonderful! Janie was fantastic to deal with - very friendly and welcoming. Communication was great from the moment we booked. She shared helpful tips for us to prepare for our visit and made check-in a breeze. The property is beautiful and convenient to Hayward. The beds were very comfortable and the sound of the train only added to the charm. We would absolutely stay at Loon Lake again and plan to do so in the future. My family and I traveled to the area to attend a wedding. Jenny’s place was perfect for us. It offered all the amenities needed for an enjoyable stay. We would have taken advantage of more of them if our stay had been longer. We appreciated how welcoming and comfortable the property is. Jenny was great in providing helpful information and instructions, and she always was quick to respond. We would definitely stay there again on a return trip to the area.

I stayed for a weekend in this charming apartment, and it was exactly as described. Everything I needed was available, and I really enjoyed my stay! The place was clean, cozy, and ideally located. A special mention for the record player — I absolutely loved it! Highly recommend!

Amazing stay! Took the time to go on the canoe multiple days. If you like going fishing, you can’t get closer to water than this. Amazing price for what we got! I just wish there were some more extra blankets (only 1) and a couple different sized bowls (like mixing or popcorn bowls). Neighbors were super friendly and would always wave.

This was our 3rd trip to Jolynne’s place and we can’t wait to go again! It’s a beautiful property and perfect for a relaxing weekend.

Loved how secluded the house was. Was nice to get away from the hustle of everyday living and relax. The place had everything we needed and was cozy. The house is very secluded but the farthest park I wanted to go to was only 15min and the others were a shorter drive. I would recommend to anyone going to decorah to enjoy nature or just relax!

getaway weekend at Jody and Jana's was just what we needed. a cozy couch and comfy bed, ample space for the two of us and that view of the lake was unbeatable! loved the little snacks they left us and the home was perfectly clean and comfortable.

Great stay. 100% should check out safe house saloon and grab some pizza. Other than that everything was immaculate. Perfect location. Beautiful scenery

We just stayed 2 nights but it was very comfortable and a great location. Right on the water, just north of downtown dells. Good walking path to downtown. Easy instructions to get in and a very clean condo. Just note, to get in, you need to walk all the way around on the right to the water side of the building, to access the door.

Really nice apartment in a beautiful location right on the river. So peaceful in the morning. Very easy to find and get into. Exactly as described. Coffee pot with coffee bags, sugar and creamer including microwave popcorn and chocolate biscuits. Nice welcome pack. Lots of cutlery crockery and pans but didn’t see any oil or condiments. If you are going to cook you’d need to bring some. Had problems with the tv instructions but after contacting Ashley somebody came to the condo within 15 mins and sorted out for us. May need to update instructions or check settings haven’t been touched to save inconvenience. Just to note the smaller bedroom has the boiler in it which is very noisy. We had ear plugs so was ok for us but if you come in the cold weather and need heating you would need to bear in mind. Overall a lovely stay in a quiet area of town within a short walk to all amenities. Would recommend.

Great host and a great space. Reminded me of the early days of Airbnb when people went out of their way to make you feel welcomed and have a good time. Highly recommend!

What a perfect place to enjoy downtown Dells! The location is ideal for walking the Riverwalk, taking a boat tour, enjoying the live music downtown, or whatever else you have in mind. The property grounds were well-kept, including a spotless outdoor pool. The unit itself was clean and comfortable, everything in good-working condition, and plenty of extras for things you might need. Alex messaged us early on our arrival day letting us know the unit was vacant and we could check in whenever we wanted - so nice! Highly recommend.
