Our family-friendly vacation home on our small farm is in a very sunny and quiet location near the village, in the Krispl/Gaißau (Tennengau) hiking area. You can reach the Celtic city of Hallein by car in about 20 minutes, the Mozart city of Salzburg in about 30 minutes, and the nearest ski resort in 40 minutes. Various summer and winter hiking trails and swimming lakes invite you to enjoy the beautiful surroundings to the fullest. In 2026, my guests will also receive the Tennengau Card and Mobility Ticket by email.

The vacation home "Strickerl" is located in one of the most beautiful hiking areas in the world, in the Salzkammergut. We are located at an altitude of approx. 880 meters, which makes our guests immediately feel the alpine feeling. With us you have the opportunity to enjoy relaxation & the Austrian idyll. Das Bauernhaus verfügt über 4 Zimmer (4 Doppelbetten und bei Bedarf 4 Zusatzbetten) und ist mitten im Zentrum von Abtenau. Restaurants und Geschäfte können zu Fuß erreicht werden. Abtenau ist ein toller Ort zum relaxen, Energie tanken, Wandern, Mountainbiken oder einfach nur zum Spazierengehen. Es gibt wunderbare Wasserfälle, wunderschöne Almen, ein Freibad speziell für Kinder, Minigolf, eine Sommerrodelbahn. Für Wintersportler/innen ist der Skilift Karkogel ganz im der Nähe.

Enjoy nature and the sensational view towards Traunstein, Grünberg and into the distance in the self-sufficient tiny house. Try a more sustainable lifestyle by using resources consciously. Our chickens and 4 dwarf donkeys are located in the slope below/next to the tiny house. In the tiny house, a kitchenette, a bathroom with shower, a loft with double bed and a pull-out couch in the living room await you. In front of the house you can relax comfortably and enjoy the sun.
