Holiday rentals with a kayak in Albemarle Sound

Had a great time fishing here!! The place had a well stoked kitchen and a nice grill! There's also another fishing area nearby by car that was great too!

Perfect spot for the two of us and our dog. A reasonable drive to beach access. Fully stocked house for both man and beast. I would stay here again.

Dana and her co Host was amazing we had the best few days of vacation possible in the outer banks 100% recommend Dana’s place we will for sure be back next year and anytime we go to obx !

We loved our stay at Serendipity! It was the perfect place for a weekend getaway. We had tickets to see The Lost Colony in Manteo, and this place was much more reasonable than staying in Manteo. The location can’t be beat. It’s right on the water, quiet and peaceful. It was also a short drive to downtown Edenton. Georgianne made us feel right at home. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay in Merry Hill. Kate was very responsive and helpful. Jordan's Retreat was definitely a retreat for our family. The house was very clean and we had everything we needed, with some nice extra touches. Indoors and out, there are many places to rest and relax. The river is lovely and we enjoyed taking the kayaks out. It was so peaceful. The location is good and the drive to the Outer Banks is easy and makes a nice day trip. Nearby Edenton is a beautiful town with cute shops and nice coffee shops & restaurants.

10/10. What an incredible part of America. Quiet, safe, serene and an impeccably appointed home, with every need satisfied. I have stayed in dozens of VRBO's and Airbnb's across the country and this is the very best one ever.

Nestled in the heart of the Inner Banks, this home offers the perfect blend of peace, comfort, and natural beauty. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at ease. The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and stocked with everything we needed—from a fully equipped kitchen to cozy linens and thoughtful touches throughout. The views were absolutely breathtaking—sunrises over the water, gentle breezes, and the kind of quiet that soothes the soul. Our days were filled with playing in the lush backyard, reading on the deck, and exploring charming nearby towns. Evenings were for bonfire, stargazing, and watching the colors of the sunset fade into twilight. Rainbows End truly lives up to its name Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. It was everything we hoped for and more

We had a wonderful stay at Edgewater for a weekend. The house was beautiful and immaculately clean. The view from the deck and yard was beautiful and very peaceful with the water, gardens, and lots of wildlife to see. Alan and Nora are super friendly and so accommodating. They have truly thought of everything and have provided so many fun things for guests to enjoy! We just wish we could have stayed longer.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Roberta's Cottage @ Muddy Creek. Very relaxing, very beautiful. Roberta was extremely accommodating, the cottage met & exceeded our expectations. We were pleasantly surprised to to have everything stocked from the fresh clean linens, a washer & dryer and even down to the coffee, so we could enjoy a cup first thing in the morning on the cute porch swing. We had hoped to take the kayaks out on the water but we ran into some friends and had a late dinner instead. We can't wait to come back again the next time we visit the area. Definitely #1 on our list of places to stay. Thank you!

We had a lovely time exploring Edenton. Melissa’s cottage was beautiful, well kept, and has amazing views of the water. So very peaceful and relaxing!

Our family loved our stay at the Bridge Tender’s House so much we extended it an extra day! Frank and Connie are wonderful hosts, very accommodating and friendly. Checking in and out was easy. The house is even more beautiful in person than the photos and everything was spotless and so cozy. Our girls loved the box of trains in the living room and the puzzles in the rainy day room. The deck is so relaxing and peaceful overlooking the water. The location is great and within walking distance to a fun park for kids and the main street of shops and bakeries. We’ll definitely be putting this airbnb on our list of places to stay again!

Linda was a 10/10 host! She communicated so quickly, was so very accommodating, and gave us a wonderful stay. It felt warm- like we were staying at a family home. We will definitely be back!

From beginning to end this cottage is off the charts. Cute, unique, functiinal, confortable, well organized, thoroughly supplied and the location is private and beautiful.

We had such an amazing time here! She was quick to respond and the place was beautiful! The backyard was perfect for our toddler to play in and I really appreciated that there was a baby gate for upstairs. We will definitely be coming back!

This place was the most charming airbnb I have ever stayed in. Badria and Jay made every detail of our stay perfect with all of their extra touches, including saltwater taffy and a box of croissants, slippers and a lavender mask, and a fully stocked coffee station with syrups. We instantly felt at home and in vacation mode at their place and literally laid out on the dock the entire time. A perfect spot for kayaking, laying out in the sun, and I even brought out my mat and did some yoga on the dock. The views were unreal. The couch was so comfortable I accidentally fell asleep there the whole night and woke up to the gorgeous window views. Amazing hosts and location!

This place was perfect for our family when we stayed. The room upstairs was adorable and worked out fantastic for my 2 younger boys, there was a pullout bed in the couch for when they wanted to sleep downstairs. The entire place was cute and clean, the area is quiet and calm with a beautiful view of the sound. I would recommend this place if you're looking to unwind and relax.

The host made us feel very at home. They were easy to talk to and extremely accommodating. There were plenty of fresh flowers and produce to pick. The property is beautiful and also has a private boat slip and dock. The property also has an enough “shoreline ” that you could walk and “cast a line” at your leisure. Our dogs loved it here. I recommend this property to anyone. You will not be disappointed. If we could leave more stars we would.

Longacres lived up to the online description. It is a wonderful rustic cabin in the woods. It was the perfect setting for our photography trip to Alligator River NWR but also just a short distance from the Outer Banks. The cabin was a very comfortable place to unwind and review our images after a day out touring the reserve. I particularly liked the porch bedroom - a great "outdoor" experience. Anne was great host and I hope to return sometime in the near future.

If you’re looking to get away and unplug and just listen to the sound of the water and relax, this is the perfect place. it’s very remote. The view on the dock and the deck is amazing and surreal. A perfect place for a getaway to recharge. Only suggestion is to do your shopping for the house before you go to the property as it is a little distance from everything. But overall, an amazing place would definitely book again.

We loved this beautiful home! Beautifully decorated-calm vibe. So cozy and comfortable. I’m also an Airbnb host and I can tell you this space is wonderful! Well worth the price point! Don’t miss out on the fire pit. Something about a fire with your family by the water…it’s truly magical. I highly recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed. Kathy is kind and accommodating. Super responsive and easy to communicate with. Can’t say enough. 10/10.

Our 3-night stay at Legacy Lodge Bunkhouse in Windsor, NC, was a delightful escape to celebrate my wife’s and son’s birthdays. The bunkhouse kept our two kids entertained with games, toys, an air hockey table, and bunk beds our son adored. Outside, a mini paradise awaited: multiple fire pits (unlimited wood for $30, highly recommended), play areas, and a covered concrete space perfect for rollerblading and scootering. We enjoyed the wood-fired pizza oven and grilled steaks, though the propane grill needs a deep clean. The thoughtful birthday gifts and decorations for our son, plus a “Honk, it’s my birthday!” sign by host Deena (explaining the passing cars’ honks), added such a warm touch. This peaceful retreat is ideal for families or anyone seeking serenity. We’d absolutely recommend it!
