Cottage holiday rentals in Angoulême

For a few days we were able to enjoy the beauty and comfort of this cottage, located in the heart of a very charming area, as well as the kindness of its owners, Kenneth and Jan. We would highly recommend it and will gladly stay again.

Recommended hosts, very well hosted at Valerie's. very nice accommodation, well-equipped with beautiful furniture, you won't want for anything. We had a lovely weekend with the family, thank you!

Everything is relaxing. The old stone mill and its green environment for the eyes, the sound of the river and the birdsong for the ears, the smell of trees in bloom and cut grass. The mill is a 5-10 minute walk to all the amenities that the small medieval town of Pons offers. Louise and Michael welcomed us warmly, caring about our well-being in their home while preserving our privacy. We had a great weekend at Moulin Chaillou, we can only recommend it. We had the pleasure of staying in one of Meg and Mark’s gîtes with our 2 teenage daughters for 4 nights. I had no hesitation in booking the gite having seen how beautiful it looked on the website and reading the glowing reviews both on the website and on Airbnb. On arrival we received a warm welcome from Meg and Mark who showed us around the gîte and the grounds. The gîte itself is just beautiful. It is absolutely spotless and exceptionally well equipped. The beds were super comfortable made even better by the high quality bedding. The grounds and gardens are very well kept and the pool is stunning with great views of the surrounding countryside - it was a big hit as was the hot tub in our private garden! To top it off, Meg and Mark are the most fantastic warm, friendly and welcoming hosts but always respectful of our privacy. Thank you Meg and Mark for a truly memorable few days and for your fantastic hospitality. Chez Lussaud is an absolute gem and is a credit to you!

We absolutely loved our stay in this charming gite. The hosts, Samantha and Jamie were so very friendly and welcoming. They made our stay very enjoyable. The gite was spotless, well equipped, very comfortable and had 2 outdoor areas to relax and admire the pretty garden. We enjoyed it so much we would love to visit again. We highly recommend this place.

Cheryl welcomed us very well, we can see that she likes to host and is very attentive to her guests, the products and furniture are of quality. For the very quiet and soothing environment to spend a moment together. you can book with your eyes closed, it's really a place to remember the next time we pass through the area we won't ask ourselves the question or book.

Julie and Keith have created a haven of peace and tranquility at their beautiful gite. The gardens are stunning and the gite is superb, extremely comfortable and full of thoughtful touches. Perfect accommodation, full of amenities for good cooking ;) Garden and great panoramic terrace, the river nearby and exchanges with Dorothée very easy throughout the stay. Great!

It was a really nice week in the gîte rosiers. We enjoyed very much the nice surroundings and fun activities nearby. Super friendly hosts, they were always ready for us for help, fun tips and a chat here and there. It is definitely recommended!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Rose's place in Villefagnan, for many reasons. Yvette greeted us, showed us how to use everything, and answered all my questions and requests for help. Rose's home is very comfortable. Top quality beds, pillows and linens, empty dressers so we didn't have to live out of a suitcase, a fully equipped kitchen, the list goes on. The beautiful backyard, with grass, flowers and cherry trees was our favorite place to spend a sunny afternoon. And the village of Villefagnan is wonderful, too. The town square is 2 houses away, and the patisserie is just across the square, so we had fresh croissants every morning. Two restaurants, a bouchère, a corner market, Tobac, and a pharmacy make up the rest of the village, everything you need. There are bike roads in every direction, so our dogs enjoyed long walks every day. The locals are friendly and welcoming. We can't wait to go back.

Amanda and Robin were great hosts and the gite was gorgeous. We loved the quiet surroundings and a quick drive to a couple of great restaurants. Our 2 little dogs were made very welcome and enjoyed the secure garden. We didn’t use the pool but it looked very inviting. Lovely stay, especially being invited to the tango evening. We were able to spend a weekend with the family in a mill that met our expectations despite exceptionally rainy weather for the season . Comfort and generous interior space were able to replace the lack of sunshine . The bedrooms and bathrooms are very comfortable . Only the kitchen looks a little fair for about fifteen people , especially in bad weather ,but the presence of the 2 large fridges was appreciated . It was a beautiful time . Monique G

We had a great week at Christian's place. The house is beautiful, tastefully decorated, well-equipped, quiet. The garden is superb and very well maintained, itself surrounded by meadows and forests. A real slice of heaven. Christian is very discreet but super responsive. A nice meeting. Lots of places to visit within a 30 km perimeter, castles, caves, ruins, nature hikes to do ... Both parents and children were delighted with this stay. We'll be happy to go back. Thanks Christian!

Had a very nice week in this beautiful place with our two young children (3 & 6 years). Beautiful garden to play in and lovely swimming pool and also the cottage is very spacious and cozy.

We had a wonderful stay at Karyn and John’s. They welcomed us very warmly, were available each time we need. The gite is like description, fully furnished, and kitchen well equipped. There were toys for our 2 year old son, no need to bring ours. And even toys for swimming pool ! The garden is great, we were pleased to cuddle they dogs, cats and even donkeys. We also could recharge our vehicle Tesla, great service at home, great help. I highly recommend le petit boudoir, you will spend quiet and peaceful days !
