House holiday rentals in Angoulême

Beautiful accommodation where we spent a great weekend with friends. The space outside is very pleasant and peaceful. The interior of the house is spacious and very well equipped. We will not hesitate to come back during a future stay in the region!

Wow!! Marie's house was beautiful and in lovely, tranquil surroundings. We were a party of 5 and the house and amenities were perfect. It was great to have a swimming pool to cool off from the summer sun. We booked for a week at a late stage but from the first enquiry to Marie and throughout our time there Marie was always very quick and helpful to respond. We absolutely recommend this wonderful house and host, but hopefully there will still be the opportunity for us to book again when we are in the Charente.

The accommodation is very tastefully and fully furnished with good furniture, lots of books, art on the wall etc. Outside is a beautiful terrace with barbecue. A little further away is the lovely natural pool with seating. Adrian's estate (and Vicky) also consists of his own home, some beautiful old stables and other houses, a meadow with donkeys, an artist's studio and a vegetable garden. The whole is very charming, peaceful and in a green natural setting. Adrian himself (Vicky was in England) is very nice and the welcome was very warm with a chest of vegetables, fruits, homemade jam, etc. We had a wonderful week at Adrian's place as a family (6 adults and a baby) and we can highly recommend this accommodation.

The place is very beautiful and serene. The house is clean and very modern. The entrance is a bit difficult to find and you need to bring your own towels, but otherwise it was a lovely stay.

Everything was as expected.We had a really peaceful and relaxing stay.

The gite is perfect, everything you need for an ideal stay, the swimming pool is a perfect size for a little one and also is you want to do a few lengths. The garden and barn is spectacular, the perfect space to escape from the heat and eat in a beautiful place. The hosts, Sue and Paul, are so accommodating and so very welcoming, it’s been the best stay and we did not want to go home!! We have already booked to come back, an amazing stay 👍👍👍👍

We only spent one night in the accommodation because we were only passing through, but everything was perfect! We were very well received, with small touches, the accommodation is as clean as it can be, very beautiful. The area is very quiet. I recommend it!

The stay at Stéphanie's went perfectly. You will find all the necessary comfort, and even more. The accommodation is well-equipped, the terrace with barbecue as well as the quiet garden offer a real moment of relaxation, all in the city center.

We had a great stay. Christie and Jean-Marc are very friendly, helpful and hospitable, they made us feel at home straight away. The gite has all the comforts, is very clean and well equipped. Being able to use the nice size pool is a plus. Great location close to all amenities and a beautiful chateau. We will be back.

A haven of peace and a great breath of fresh air for the whole family. The kids wanted a surprise and it was a success! The place is even more beautiful than the pictures. And this huge window overlooking the river is just magical! We spent 2 days without phones, despite the wifi that works perfectly, just to enjoy the place and all the nooks to explore. Extremely hospitable and welcoming hosts. Made us feel right at home, almost as if we were friends of the family! Very helpful and responsive on messaging, provided excellent recommendations of things to do (recommend the kayaking) and even invited us to the local village fête de musique. A wonderful, relaxing and memorable time which we would certainly recommend.

Mathis' 2nd stay was still perfect! Cleanliness, welcome: great. In addition, with Amora mustard, Evian mineral water, Kleenex Ultra Soft tissues, etc.: Mathis feels like he is always at home with the same products as at our place. What happiness for this second stay!

We had booked Hermine's house for 9 nights, were very, very friendly received by the co-host Mélanie, who looked after us very nicely in person or by phone during our entire stay with all questions. The house is very nice, cozy and tastefully decorated. The kitchen has everything you need. For us, the location was ideal because we like peace and seclusion. The surrounding villages are very small and tranquil, but you can shop nearby. We did some bike tours, the paths are well developed. We also enjoyed Angoulème very much. All in all a nice stay and perfect care! Merci beaucoup à Mélanie! Note: The stairs to the upper floor are beautiful but not suitable for people who are not good on their feet. You must not enter with shoes, it has no handrail and is very irregular and smooth. But that was no problem for us.

Very nice house with all the comforts you need for an enjoyable stay. Looking forward to coming back.

Modern, comfortable, functional and carefully decorated cottage. Both bedrooms are sufficiently spacious and equipped with storage. The cottage does not lack anything. We particularly appreciated the calm and attention of Melanie and her spouse to have turned on the A/C before our arrival on a great heatwave day. We will be back.
