Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Ankeny

Garrett and Tiffani made their place feel like home. Perfect layout for our large family. Lots of fun things for our kids of every age to do. Plenty of space as well. The location was perfect. Quiet neighborhood but walking distance to parks and food. The hosts quickly responded to any inquiries and were great at overall information regarding the rental. We would definitely stay here again. My littles loved the red house. 100% recommend the house and hosts.

What a great place! Clean and spacious. All bedrooms are upstairs but not many to contend with. Side note- the bed in the yellow bedroom was a dream! Had a great sleep….

This little home was so perfect in every way. They had fun activities like board games and toys for kids. The kitchen was wonderful and had a few snacks in place, which was extremely thoughtful. We enjoyed the train going by (it wasn't very loud and passed by relatively quick). The bed was so comfy after a day of exploring Iowa! Overall, I really enjoyed our stay in Iowa. It felt like a like a perfect little home away from home. Now, I can't wait for us to come back to visit again!

We had a great time! This was a perfect, private space for myself, my husband, and our dog to hang out during the week leading up to our wedding in Des Moines. We sat for hours in the backyard Adirondack chairs soaking up the beautiful spring Iowa weather. The neighborhood was also very walkable and safe. Super clean and had all the amenities we needed!

We loved staying here! It’s actually much bigger than it appears in the photos. Roomy bedrooms, comfortable beds, lots of space to spread out and a beautiful backyard! Thanks again!

Great spot if you want a fun urban feel. So many great restaurants in walking distance! The views out of the loft bedroom at night were beautiful. Hello, Marjorie is a must check out if you enjoy a unique cocktail experience. Highly recommend!!

Not only was I completely blown away by the space but by Greg’s hospitality. Great conversation and the place itself has a lot of character as well! Really exceeded all expectations. Comfortable and clean! Can’t recommend enough!

Hosts were fantastic, very responsive. Wonderful location, especially if you need a place near Drake Univeristy. Parking was easy and accessible.

Easy to find and exactly what we expected from the listing.

My daughter and I visited the Pella Tulip festival and wanted to extend our trip so we came here to see/hike the high trestle bridge & visit the arboretum. Renee’s place was great for our visit! Easy to find & get in, the place was super cozy and comfortable! Private outdoor space with the balcony was nice. The bathroom was clean and functional. The kitchen has everything we needed - a stove/oven with plenty of cookware, fridge & microwave, coffee maker, plenty of dishes. Beds were comfortable with good blankets and pillows. The only negative I found was that the keys were a little difficult to lock/unlock door. I would recommend and return!

It was a great stay! Abby was able to help us out instantly when we had some trouble getting in & the place was so cute and was in a great location!

Walking distance to Drake making it perfect for parents visiting for sporting events or for graduations.

Excellent Stay at Angela’s condominium— I would have loved to stay a few more days to explore all the area had to offer, but it was a quick stop on a long roadtrip. The shower and Steam room was an excellent touch. I would stay again without hesitation.

Very friendly host. The apartment has a lot of space, is very clean and easy to live in. When we come back we would love to rent this apartment again. Around the corner several good restaurants and a hyvee to get groceries.

Crystal clear instructions on how to get into the building and once you get in, it’s easier the next time. Had a small hiccup with parking, because of a race that had all the streets around the building closed, but Kyle gave us an alternative suggestion that worked out just fine. Everything was clean and exactly as described and shown. One of the most comfortable bed/pillow combos we’ve had!! Great location and walkable to everything we were in town for.

The condo was amazing. Well furnished and comfortable beds. Lots of room to spread out. The rooftop area was pretty. The only negatives are that there is no front door…the only entrance is a steep garage. I’m not sure I knew that. Also, the k cup part of the coffee station was not working and the garbage disposal isn’t working.

This place is the cats meow!! I the heart of downtown with great views, easily walkable to so many places you’ll want to go!! Clean, bright, well thought out decor, just sets this place apart from so many others!! Tons of activities, hot spots, excellent resultants, easily walkable!! Felt safe and secure!! Felt like home away from home!! We will be back!!

Great location, comfortable stay. Justin was very responsive and overall great host. Would recommend if you need to stay in or around downtown Des Moines.
