Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Ayrshire

We had a fantastic stay at Jacquie and David’s AirBnB! Both were incredibly personable, friendly, and welcoming! It really felt like staying with old friends. The rooms were spotless, cosy, and full of charm, and the breakfast was absolutely spot on; a perfect way to start each day. The area is stunning too, peaceful and picturesque with lots to explore nearby. Their warmth and hospitality made our visit truly memorable. Would definitely stay again!

We loved our stay at The Annex. Our host Julie met us on arrival and was very friendly. The property was beautifully laid out, had everything you’d need. Extra touches such as milk, bread and home made flapjacks (delicious 😊) were very much appreciated. Would love to return!

5/5 — Absolutely Amazing Stay! Staying at David’s place in Belfast was truly exceptional! From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and full of thoughtful touches that made it feel so welcoming and comfortable — it’s clear that David puts a lot of care into creating a great experience for his guests. David was an outstanding host — warm, responsive, and full of helpful local recommendations that really enhanced my stay. The location was perfect: peaceful and quiet, yet close to everything I wanted to explore in the city. This was honestly one of the best Airbnb stays I’ve ever had. If you’re planning a trip to Belfast, I can’t recommend David’s place highly enough. You won’t be disappointed!

Lily and Shibu were excellent hosts - I felt very at home in their comfortable house, and I found them both great to chat to and very generous as hosts

Very nice room and more than adequate for what I needed it for. Was met by a very happy friendly member of staff. Walkable distance to town, local amenities and train station.

The hosts have a very welcoming vibes. They are respectful and always ready to give a helping hand and very considerate in everything. The place feels like home and the ambiance was peaceful, calm and relaxing. We will absolutely recommend staying in Sinan’s place.

Jack was the perfect host, very comfortable home and furnishing and spotless. Breakfast was fantastic and served by Jack who was so friendly and hospitable, nothing was a bother.

Glenternie house is a beautiful home rich in history. The interior decorations have been kept true to the period the house was built. Although it does not qualify as a manor house, due to comparatively smaller land area, it has the look and feel of a manor house, with all the tradition that comes with it. The house was easy to find using online map applications. Plenty of parking. The location is out in the country of the Scottish Borders and is one of the quietest, most peaceful places I have ever stayed in. Plenty of room to get out and stretch your legs, and a beautiful garden to wander around in. We agreed to the in house dinner offered by Lucy. The food was amazing, far better than we had in most restaurants. Lucy was very attentive and answered the myriad of questions we had as newcomers to the UK, and Scottish Borders. The bed was very large and comfortable, with an ensuite tub and bathroom and beautiful decor. Definitely would stay again.

Sarah's place is a delightful country cottage, a reasonable distance from the motorway and 20 min from good restaurants in Dumfries. Highly recommended.

stopped off to break up a journey from the highlands. We'd be more than happy to spend a week here!! Very welcoming hosts. Nothing to much trouble and very dog friendly. We'll be back. Ant & Sharon

We can see why Laura is a Superhost. She reached out to us the day before check-in to see if we had any questions and to offer suggestions for places to dine upon our arrival. When we arrived she was there to greet us and to acquaint us with the accomodations. Her place is comfortable and inviting, located in a peaceful scenic setting, yet close to what the city has to offer. After we enjoyed a good night's rest, Laura served us a delicious breakfast in time for us to depart to the airport.

Good deal and excellent service. They let us check in early and we enjoyed the lovely space outside! Super convenient to restaurants and the WHW.

Our stay at Mark's place was short & cozy ! He helped us with tips during our late arrival and his team kindly greeted us in the evening. We had a nice and calm night stay in a interesting surrounding of a pristine old village pub ! Would recommend to walkers keen on accessing or finishing the Hadrian's wall path ! :)

Ended up arriving later then anticipated, great communication everything was perfect for when we got there. The room and bathroom were immaculate with gorgeous welcoming communal lounge warm and comfortable with access to everything we needed. Breakfast was sublime including the continental Buffett very high quality produce hosts very welcoming and attentive. This please represents excellent value for money, couldn’t fault anything about this place.

Elizabeth was a great host, ideal location with easy 25min walk to the cathedral quarter. Next to The Waterworks which is great for a quiet stroll or a Parkrun on a Saturday morning. Would love to stay again.

My dog and I had a very pleasant stay at Jessica’s place. The balance between privacy and hospitality was just right. I asked for a recommendation for dinner in the area (a place that was dog friendly) and we ended up in a really nice pub! The area where Jessica lives is quiet with lots of green and the city center still walkable. I would recommend!!

Laura and Castlecroft B&B were a welcomed rest after a long travel day. Laura greeted us and gave us a quick tour and let us get settled in after arriving later than expected. She pointed us to a wonderful dinner spot and the next morning we had the best breakfast! We also came with our toddler and Laura made her feel right at home. Highly recommend Laura and the Castlecroft for a stay!

I had to get used to the new style of B&B nowadays in Scotland. You get everything but a breakfast. This is quite useful, if you like to do some walks that are taking some hours and you don't like to wait for a normal breakfast time to start your walk. Staying with Robert was great, as you have a lot of space. A big kitchen for your own style of breakfast, a living room to meet other guest. Thanks a lot, we would love to come again.

A very warm welcome from both Carol & John as well as a very lively Archie the dog! Enjoyed our stay in their home, the upstairs was completely for us & the extensive breakfast taken downstairs. We also had access to the sitting room & sat there for a cup of tea when we arrived. We recommend The Birks highly for a stay, everything was exceptional & Carol & John delightful hosts. Hope to be back at some point, thank you both.
