The sofa bed in the living room is very comfortable, so you can sleep well in two rooms. In the village, there is a nice outdoor pool and good gastronomy - surrounded by a lot of forest. Our café serves breakfast weekdays from 6 AM and on weekends from 7 AM.

The well-kept garden, enclosed with a hedge, has many nice seating areas. In the garden there is a small pond, two beautiful large sun loungers and a grill. The beautiful view of the village and the beautiful low mountain landscape enchants every guest. One pet is allowed.

A unique house for unique days... ... with our tiny house in the Hessian Rhön. It's in the big garden. From the house and from the terrace you have an unobstructed beautiful distant view of the valley. The house is fully equipped. It consists of a bathroom with shower and water toilet, kitchenette, dining table, fold-out sofa, satellite TV, Wi-Fi. A staircase leads to the heavenly sleeping area (1.60 x 2.00). The well-kept in-law is located in a quiet location below the Rauschenberg in a residential area. Shopping and a pizzeria as well as a bakery are within walking distance. Downtown and train station are also only about 30 minutes walk away. Cathedral concerts, musicals in the city castle or even the events on Hessentag 2026 can be reached in 2 minutes by bus or relaxed on foot. With us, you are quiet but still close to the city.

Family Waldkauz's guest house in the middle of the forest

Our accommodation is located in the middle of Germany, close to Kassel and surrounded by nature. You will love it because of the heavenly tranquility, the gateway to the forest and yet only 20 km away from Kassel by car or tram. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and big groups. Unless they are uncontrollable fighting dogs, animals are welcome to us and regularly feel very comfortable.
