Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, its Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". Enjoy a relaxing get away in our spectacular snugs. These are the perfect way for a couple days with a partner or friend. Enjoy local walks or visit the historic town of Linlithgow. Located high up in the hillside enjoy stunning views over West Lothian. Tea and coffee facilities are provided along with a microwave. All our snugs have underfloor heating and generous en-suite bathroom with full size shower. Guests are more than welcome to bring food/takeaways into the snugs.

Mary Queen of Scot's chamber at Neidpath Castle is perhaps the most romantic place to stay in the Scottish Borders. Explore privately the whole castle and then retire to enjoy your suite rooms. The antique four poster bed, deep roll top bath and open fire evoke earlier times, but are truly comfortable and luxurious. An elegant table is set for breakfast. Peebles is 10 minutes walk away, with a host of shops and restaurants, as well as a museum and award winning chocolatier.

The Great Hall, Dollarbeg Castle

This 2 bedroom apartment is the beautifully converted former Great Hall of Dollarbeg Castle. Built in 1890, Dollarbeg Castle was the last gothic baronial style building of its type ever built. Beautifully restored in 2007 to the very highest standards, it was converted into 10 luxury properties, one of which is a conversion of the original "Great Hall" with its vaulted ceiling and majestic views across the formal grounds towards the Ochil Hills in the distance.

Guest suite above our garage. The room has a double bed, en suite, tea/coffee making facilities, mini fridge, microwave & central heating. Bedding, towels & toilet paper are provided. Ample parking in the shared driveway. The accommodation is a 5 minute drive or 17 minute walk to Armadale train station where you can catch regular trains to Edinburgh (30 minutes away) or Glasgow (40 minutes away) making it ideal for sight seeing.
