Dondie's House, Portuairk

JulieRating, 5 stars7 months ago
and relax....just what I thought as I walked through the door just as it was turning dark. Dondie's house is fabulous. Great instructions to get there, easy to get in. Well equipped sitting room, great WiFi and TV with sky. comfy sofa and occasional chair which I set up to look out the window at the view. kitchen well appointed. 3 drawer freezer and under counter fridge. all clean. Good microwave and toaster. Bathroom spotless, lovely shower. bed very comfortable. Cottage very warm and didn't need log burner at all. very well insulated. We asked Donald for a couple of things and he responded immediately. The notice on the window cill has the WiFi code on one side and refuse instructions on the back. One thing we learned is the shop in Kilchoan will do deliveries and if you contact them in advance they will have it for your arrival. The Puffin cafe in Kilchoan was great as were tea and scones at the church on Wednesday mornings every 2 weeks. met a lot of the locals. A great holiday

Puffin Camping Pod Isle of Canna

WarwickRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
It is a glamping pod but seemed a good one to us first time users. Having our gear picked up from the ferry and delivered, made the walk (as advertised) to the pod all the more pleasurable. Isebail was really pleasant to deal with.

The Shepherd's Hut on Eigg

DianneRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The Shepard's hut is compact but has everything you need. We didn't use the stove because we were warm enough without it. The views are tremendous and there is an enjoyable walk through the lodge grounds to the pier. Getting picked up from the pier and having our luggage taken back was fantastic. It was a bit exciting for someone who is not keen on cows to go to the loo and find cows blocking the way. However they are calm cows and are moved away easily (they were moved to the hill for summer grazing while we were there). All in all we had a great time.

Bramble Bothy - our quirky Shepherd's hut

StuartRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Small clean and well laid out shepherd hut with all the amenities that you need. Set in a stunning location which is very peaceful and allows for complete relaxation or a base for some excellent hill walking, biking or watching wild life. Would stay here again.
