Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Douglas County

We stayed as an extended family for a funeral. It happened to be a busy weekend in Lawrence and wound up being the perfect place.

Beautiful place! Quiet, peaceful setting with room for the kids to roam and play. The tree swing was a big hit. House was nicely decorated, and well stocked for our needs. Would definitely recommend this place.

Came for softball but had the best time relaxing. The neighborhood was beautiful and so peaceful with birds, rabbits, and even a raccoon roaming around. We enjoyed seeing parts of KU campus during our rain delay and the porch was the best place to be for the weather. Everything was clean and roomy for our family and the decor was fun to look at. Our Cornhusker hearts started singing Rock Chalk for a second.

Everything was perfect! Would definitely stay here again!

We were lucky enough to host our micro wedding ceremony and reception at Mary and Evan’s beautiful property!! They were exceptional to work with and very dedicated to making our day picture-perfect!

Wow!! This Airbnb was one of the best we have stayed at! Fully stocked with snacks, coffee, bottled water, toothbrush/toothpaste, mouth wash, makeup remover, laundry detergent, shampoo/conditioner, body wash and more!! We all slept great, extremely quiet. There’s a movie theater room we didn’t have time to enjoy but hope to get the chance to when we stay again. Extremely clean which is a huge priority for us. Love this house!

Second time staying here. We love the peaceful atmosphere and highly recommend Barbwire Bbq! Nothing beats the deep jacuzzi tubs!

The Vista was absolutely beautiful and perfect for our needs. We had 4 families and the ability of everyone to have their own space and toilet/sink was ideal. The location was spacious and we never felt like we were on top of each other or crowded. (7 of us plus 2 dogs). The small touches were so fun (like the working record player and stack of records!) and the kitchen was stocked to the hilt! There wasn’t a thing we said “oh I wish we had….” Outdoor spaces are gorgeous and I wish I’d had more time to just sit outside and enjoy. The hosts were kind and considerate of our plans, making adjustments to help our party have a relaxing weekend! Whole thing was perfect - wouldn’t change a thing! Will definitely be back if I need another spot in Lawrence area!

Joy was a fabulous host. He place is beautiful and in a perfect location. I was there for my daughter’s graduation and it was in a perfect location. The patio is beautiful and a great place to relax. I would definitely go back! Thank you!!

Megan is an exceptional host. The place is exactly as described. Perfectly clear instructions for entry and departure. We were very impressed with all the details within the apartment. The bed was super comfy….& I will admit I am a bed snob! My husband and I enjoyed it very much. We loved walking around the area and to the Capital. I will book again in a few weeks when I return to visit my son who lives nearby.

We really enjoyed our stay at Megan’s apartment. I think the apartment looked even better in person. The check-in/check-out process was simple and secure. The beds and couch were comfortable and there was plenty of room for 4 of us. Thank you!

Beautiful place to stay and very comfortable. We loved seeing all of the animals the dogs greeted us when coming and going and was so sweet and the kids loved seeing the horses

Perfect location! Daniel's place was exceptionally clean, exactly as described, and just steps to shops and restaurants. On the Saturday we were there, there was a farmer's market right in the parking lot, which was a great surprise! Highly recommend this condo if you're going to Lawrence!

We enjoyed staying here. So relaxing, comfortable, clean, stocked with supplies and treats. Everything, including a comfortable bed, that we needed for a good stay. The patio was our favorite spot to listen to the distance trains and fun birds. (so close to get on freeways too)

This Grantville gem is a great get away. We would have loved to take advantage of the remote trails, screened in porch and quiet surroundings, but for us it was the perfect spot to group and re-group for our son's wedding in Topeka, just a short drive west. I would recommend this to anyone going near there, Mallory's communication is spot on. Thank you all for sharing your home.

Shereen was very responsive and helpful!! The place looked like the photos. It is a little walk to the lake and you can’t see the lake from the house but it was still beautiful countryside. Very spacious and lots of yard space for games and being outside. Didn’t use the lake front as water was really high and you couldn’t walk out to the dock because of this. Not her fault of course just be aware if you are renting during a rainy time. Lots of sleeping spaces and great kitchen!! Would definitely consider renting again.

We were looking for a quiet secluded space to recharge and Ben’s place was perfect. Clean cozy and well stocked for our needs. It rained most of the time we were there and we enjoyed it from the cozy interior. The lush green trees surrounded the cabin and gave us privacy and quiet. We will return when it’s not raining so we can enjoy the fire pit!
