The cabin was cosy, even in extreme winds the Hotub was perfect for resting the legs after a hike!

Absolutely amazing stay here, just what we needed to get away from city life, scenery was beautiful, hot tub was amazing, very clean, we just loved every second of it, we didn't want to come home! Thank you Catherine for having the prosecco and banners up for us on arrival , it was a lovely suprise for my partners birthday. We will definitely be back!

Leah & Lennox’s airbnb was the perfect stay. The lodge was exceptionally clean & the interior was so modern & homely. All amenities were great & the hot tub was super easy to use. The lodge is only a short drive from dumfries which was great for me and my partner as it allowed us to still train at the gym whilst we were away. The forest walk was the perfect start to our morning. The area was very peaceful & we started each morning with a coffee whilst watching the lambs. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay to celebrate my graduation & we cannot wait to return❤️

Lovely place to stay, exactly like the photos and had everything we needed for our time away. Hot tub was easy to use and such a nice way to wind down at the end of the day whilst listening to the birds.

it would be difficult to find a friendlier and more helpful pair of hosts than Sarah and Mark. Their place is amazing and it shows how much care and attention they've put into hosting, meeting the barn cats was and added bonus. 100% recommend.

Trevor and Angels's van was an excellent overnight stop off on our way up to Skye. The van was very well equipped, comfortable and clean. There is a great walk round the beautiful lakes close to the site; a great place to stretch your legs and walk the dog, after a long journey.

We had a really enjoyable stay. It's a large, comfortable, warm and well equipped property in a fantastic location. We liked that there are walks to Kippford and Rockliffe from the front door and mountain biking in Dalbeattie Forest and wild swimming in Barean Loch are very close by. The best part, though, was the front deck, which was a sun trap even at the end of March, and from it we watched the Red Squirrels, Deer, Crossbills, Woodpeckers and lots of other Birdlife.

Perfect location for the surrounding area, including Forest of Mabie and Ae. We were a family of four, children 10 and 8. Short distance to Dumfries town centre which has selection of bars and food places. The cabin was rustic and unique, we found it very cosy and provided us with everything we needed. Kevin and Shirin were very friendly and responsive, they provided us with local history and information on things to do around us. The children enjoyed exploring in the woods behind the cabin and playing on grass area at the front of cabin. We definitely recommend staying here and would return.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this stunning location. What an amazing experience and we could not have asked for a better stay! Superb memories were created here for us and our dogs! A stunning walk through the woods and into Ballantrae, 7 miles there and back but loads of wildlife to see and we would recommend. Lindsay and Chris were exceptional hosts and just lovely people! We cannot think of a better break that we have all enjoyed and cannot wait to return!

The accommodation was cosy and pleasant, perfect for a group of 4 adults and 2 kids. We loved the field at the back of the lodge and the sheep. Would have been great if we could have checked in from 2pm or have a later check out. Thank you for hosting us, it’s a place that I’ll def recommend to my friends.

We had an absolutely superb stay at this cabin! The hosts have thought of everything—every household utensil, cleaning product, and appliance we needed was readily available. It truly felt like a home away from home. We also appreciated the thoughtful extras, like the collection of games, DVDs, and books, which made for cozy evenings indoors. The stuffed toy dogs were a lovely touch for the children, and they adored them! The cabin was spotless, and we were impressed with how well-organized everything was, including the garbage disposal system. The private pool was a fantastic addition, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Overall, this was one of the best stays we’ve had, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommend!

Fantastic accommodation in a perfect location, close enough to the local towns but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. Nice local walks, great for kayaking (lodge is 2 min walk from shoreside) and lots to do in local area. 10/10 host and accommodation, we will be back !

A lovely private place to stay. Very welcoming and lovely areas nearby. If anyone else goes here there is an amazing walk at the bottom of the river to check out!

Fantastic stay at the sea cubby! A perfect place to recharge and relax, with amazing views, wildlife and lovely accommodation. It was a perfect size for us. Additionally, the cubby has been kitted out with helpful items that you need whilst away - tea, coffee, lovely linen and plenty of great local recommendations which we tried out. The place was super cosy as well considering the coastal location. Would love to come back.

The place was absolutely gorgeous. The kids have enough room to run around. We love the balcony with the amazing view and the sound of nature. Despite the wet weather on our first and second day of stay the kids were happy to just launched around and kept them selves entertained with the box of Lego they found in the kids room 😆 it was absolutely what we wanted for the kids to be off screen. This place gave us the quality time we needed as a family. Thank you Tracey. We will definitely comeback for more.

Fantastic cottage / log cabin. Incredible vistas across Wigtonshire and Irish Sea beyond. Ideal location for Kircudbright and Wigton as well as 7 stanes cycling locations- for us. Lovely and cosy inside.

What a find! 1st stop on a 2 week road trip around southern Scotland and sets a high bar for others to meet. Lovely and warm when we arrived and Mark & Becky had left an amazing food parcel. Attention to detail through the apartment was 100%. So quiet & peaceful at night. Great walks from the door down to the beach and along the coast. Found a great pub/restaurant The Steamboat Inn, Carsethorn, a short drive away. It was rainy when we visited but on a clear day there would be great views across the Solway Firth. Seafood Chowder was great. Everything in the house was a very high standard. Would definitely consider a longer stay next time. Big plus for us… EV charging on site.

Two night stay which was brilliant, the lodges give a very peaceful escape from busy lives! Angela was great with communication and always available if needed. The lodge was very clean and comfortable with a great hot tub and unreal views! Also some very lovely Highland Cows and Belted Galloway’s in the field added to the views nicely. Would definitely recommend to others and will definitely stay again!
