The Forge cottage is set on our working sheep farm, on the Durham Northumberland border. Maximum one fully house trained well behaved adult dog by prior permission from owners.

Characterful terraced house, over one hundred years old, on top of a steep hill overlooking the cathedral and castle. 10-15 min walking distance to city centre, bus and railway stations, 5 min walk to supermarket. Free, but limited, on-street parking. This is a unique place. It is very quiet, because we are surrounded by gardens, the school playing field and the woods (the local nature reserve). We have seen deer, foxes, badgers and woodpeckers, but we are actually within Durham City!!
