River Cottage Near Loch Lomond

River Cottage is a detached riverside property located in the quiet village of Croftamie on the edge of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. This charming cottage has been finished to a high standard and enjoys lovely views over rolling fields. The spacious decking area overlooks the river "Catter Burn" and is an ideal vantage point for watching the abundance of local wildlife. As an added bonus, free riverside fishing is available from within the grounds of the cottage and there is direct access onto open fields. The open plan living space has two large sofas (one being a sofa bed, making it possible to accommodate up to four adults). The kitchen area is fully fitted with table and chairs for dining. Local amenities are available in Croftamie, including a pub renowned for its delicious food and a number of small shops. Preferred lets are Saturday 3pm to Saturday 10am on a self catering basis, however if you wish to enquire about any dates/times outwith this or a short break then please contact me and I will try to accommodate you if I can. We are delighted to welcome dogs as long as they bring their own beds, are not allowed on furniture and not left unattended. Worth noting that we have chickens roaming freely and the cottage is surrounded by fields which have livestock. We charge £10 per dog, per night and this can be paid at check in. River access (youngsters take care!) and free fishing from river bank. Access to open farmland along river. Wireless broadband connection. Located in scenic, rural Kippen, we are a 5 minute walk from shops, post office and two award winning gastro-pubs: The Cross Keys and The Inn at Kippen. A busy farm shop with a Deli counter and cafe is on the outskirts of the village. Kippen was listed as one of the 20 best villages in Britain in the The Times newspaper.

Altquhur Cottage is in a beautiful location with stunning views over the Campsie Fells, 10 minutes by car to the Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond. The cottage is set on a farm with horses, cows and sheep in the surrounding fields and hens roaming around outside the garden. The cottage has a spacious dining kitchen, cosy living room with wood burning stove and comfortable sofa bed, double bedroom, bathroom and utility room. There is a fully enclosed garden with outdoor furniture.

There's 200 years of history in our cosy little cottage. Part of the original village cross and formerly ‘Bab’s Shop’, it is now a one bedroom haven. There's wonderful walks from the doorstep and it's a great base to explore the cities and sights of central Scotland. Our quiet & lovely village pub, The Swan is open Friday- Monday. It was the first community owned pub in Scotland and has recently had a major refurbishment. Be sure to book ahead, it’s popular!

This small terraced cottage is in the friendly village of Thornhill, a scenically short drive from the hiking, walking and biking trails of the Trossachs. Within the village there is small path network and two commons for evening strolls. Thornhill is perfectly located to explore Stirling, Callander, Doune and the surrounding countryside, including Blairdrummond Safari Park. The village boasts a fabulous pub/restaurant serving good food and chatty locals.
