We loved the apartment. There was enough space, had a great balcony and the courtyard itself was beautiful. The hosts were easy to reach and very nice. The kitchen was well equipped, even children's cups were available. We will be happy to come back.

Amazing place and outstanding hosts

This was the second time we came and it's always so pleasant.

We were a group of 7 adults and 7 kids (7-10 years) in Engen for three days. We felt very comfortable from the beginning and Christina and Thomas were great hosts. Particularly noteworthy are the garden with barbecue area and trampoline, the cozy forecourt with large table, the net on the first floor, as well as the great combination of privacy in the three separate apartments and communal kitchen. The schnapps tasting with Thomas was also extremely cozy and delicious😋. We will definitely come back if we are allowed!

We had a wonderful weekend with super nice encounters on🌞 the farm. The apartment was a dream and people and animals were extremely nice!🌻 We will be happy to come back :)

We loved our stay in this beautiful wooden house. It was very peaceful with two lovely terraces to sit on (one was sunny in the morning and one in the afternoon). The house was very tastefully decorated and very clean. We would recommend for a relaxing stay in the Black Forest.

We absolutely loved our stay in the beautifully updated barn! From the moment we arrived, Edgar warmly welcomed us and gave us a helpful tour of the space and its amenities. The barn itself is stunning—charmingly rustic yet modern and thoughtfully designed. It’s incredibly peaceful and provided the perfect, quiet retreat after days of exploring. The location is ideal as a home base for visiting the many incredible sights of the Black Forest. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would return in a heartbeat!

This place is absolutely amazing! It’s very modern and very clean. It is a little outside of Freiburg but only a 10-15 minute taxi ride away. You can get into the city by taking the bus. The bus stops is right outside. There’s also a tram nearby but I rode the bus instead. The area is very quiet and clean. There’s restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance. I felt very safe in the area. Melanie was super responsive and she even did our laundry. She was super helpful and always had everything we needed for our stay. I would definitely stay here again.

A lovely place in a peaceful neighbourhood. The apartment is well equipped with a rustic and modern touch. Only 12 minutes walk from the closest train/ tram station.

Would do it anytime again. The apartment is great and nicely located in this little town. Melanie was a perfect host, helpful and always available for a chat. Absolute recommendation!

Loved our stay!!! What a beautiful property! Dr. Edgar welcomed us and was kind enough to show us around. The owners did a tremendous job meticulously remodeling this old building and each unit is cute as a button. Very comfortable bed- slept like a baby. I also appreciated the attention to detail that was apparent everywhere. The owners clearly want you to have a amazing stay! The kitchen was very well stocked and we cooked multiple meals during our stay. There is a great Edeka market and bakery within a 4 minute walk which was super convenient. Great area for hiking and relaxing and for exploring small towns in the area. 5 stars all the way! If you see this place available, just go ahead and book it - you'll love it!

We loved Melanie's loft in the old barn. An outstanding design, great feel-good character and many individual details that we liked very much. The whole property has a great story and the hosts are very nice. Everything worked like clockwork and we definitely recommend the place.
