This place creatively incorporates the historic parts of an olive mill with contemporary design. It was roomy and had everything we needed, but a minor thing, body wash would have been nice. Met the owner who was very nice and gracious. Loved being able to walk to 3 different great restaurants, a market, pharmacy and close proximity to Rethymno. It is strategically located between Chania and Heraklion, too. Definitely recommended!

Great accommodation with everything you need for a peaceful, isolated stay - yet in walking distance to the beautiful downtown. The house is surrounded by nature, with views to the mountain and a nice garden very well prepared to spend your evenings. The hosts are very welcoming, we felt like at home and are grateful for everything they provided for us. Very recommended, we hope to come back!

We spent the most lovely time at Nikos place with our baby and friends. The villa is located directly by the sea with a spectacular view. We enjoyed really enjoyed our breakfasts watching the waves and listening to the ocean so much. The place is very quiet and private. Nikos is the most welcoming host and gave us great directions for the island. We can definitely recommend staying there! Thank you so much for having us.

Both Ioanna and Spiros were great hosts. Incredibly welcoming and responsive. Nothing was too much trouble. The villa was beautiful, the views from the pool amazing and it was easy to drive to the old town within 6 minutes. The walk to the beach was about 15-20 mins which we did once. I’d highly recommend this villa and the hosts. 😊

This holiday was everything we wanted it to be. Our family includes architects and designers, we were all impressed by the well considered design, the detailing of the villa and the impressive panoramic views. We loved the contemporary approach and enjoyed the comfortable modern styling of the interior. The villa is totally private and the surrounding area is quiet and beautiful with plenty to explore.

What can i say to sum up our stay, absolutely spot on, George made contact with me just after the plane landed asking our arrival time, Clair, Georges wife greeted us at the villa and ran through the usual.(very helpful) Also the cleaner was very attentive to our needs. The village itself was just a 5 minute walk up a slight hill. we found a local bar and restaurant, a small mini market and a slightly larger mini market. The food and hospitality from both the bar and restaurant were very good. We spoke to a few ex pats and gained good information of places to visit and eat around the area. We also got introduced to Paulos local taxi driver, Paulos was at our beck and call all holiday (Family of 6 so a 9 seater taxi) He drove us to various locations even sorting out a breakfast for us one morning with a view looking over the sea. Wonderful Experience at the Villa Elias! Our stay at the villa was perfect. The sea view was breathtaking, especially during sunset – a true sense of calm, quiet, and complete privacy. Choosing this villa was an excellent decision, especially because of the heated pool, which the kids absolutely loved. They enjoyed both swimming and playing in the spacious garden. The villa is well-equipped, with many useful items that made our stay very comfortable, including an air pump for pool toys. The location is also great – close to shops, supermarkets, and pharmacies. Book this Airbnb. Do not think twice. Nice to be greeted with wine and snacks after the flight over. 3 styles of coffee makers with coffee. Sugar, spices, olive oil and balsamic to get you started. 4 bedroom 3 full baths. Great living and cooking areas. Very spacious for our group of 7. Clean and comfortable. Equipped with everything you could ask for. We made a few terrific meals with the grill and kitchen equipment. Harilao has put a lot of thought and planning in to his home. Gorgeous outdoor space with heated pool. Indoors is clean and uncluttered. The views are lovely. 1 minute on walk up the street to fresh bread daily and cute market. 3 minute walk down the street is a bigger market. 4 minute walk to my favorite beach. 8 Euro for 2 chairs and an umbrella. Bar right there if you want a drink. Walk to coffee, pastries, restaurants and bars near by. We loved the home and beach so much that we slipped a few day trips. 5 stars. I hope to come back! We had a great stay at the villa - it was even more beautiful than described, with great views of the sea, beautiful pool, relaxed chill area with sun and shade. The rooms look like the photos and it's nice that each room has its own bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with the essentials. Stamatis came to visit us on the day of arrival, gave us tips and was also on site shortly before departure to say goodbye. Very helpful host. The villa is about 20 minutes by car from Rethymno - in between there are always large supermarkets. The city itself is super beautiful in the center with many incredibly good restaurants. The beach at the villa itself is not a highlight. We got in the car and drove past Rethymno to the large long sandy beach with many small taverns. Highly recommended.

The villa was absolutely stunning and had been designed with such an eye for detail. The villa was also immaculate and cleaned regularly throughout our stay. The villa itself had everything you could possibly want, the pool and hot tub were exceptional and the facilities were just as pictured. The games room was a particular favourite of ours. The host was also fabulous! He met us upon arrival and made us feel very welcome. Providing everything we needed to get settled as well as for our little one! We cannot wait to stay again! This is a 10/10 Villa. We have travelled a lot and this is by far the best Villa we have stayed in. We were a family of 9 (5 adults and 4 children aged 2, 4, 9 and 11). The views are stunning, the pool is big, all the rooms have private bathroom. Jacuzzi is also perfect for when the sun goes down! Theo was a wonderful host helping us, giving good recommendations and suprising as with some nice gestures. This Villa really is a Gem as the name suggests. As for the surroundings - it is 100% private! For me the best part was that there is a nice local village to walk to every night. There are some amazing Tavernas/Restaurants with delicious food and reasonable prices (also a mini-market). There is also a nice beach with a good restaurant and a nice cozy beach bar - it is only a 10 minute walk from the villa. And if you rent a car then it is a 10 minute ride to the Rethymnon old town, which is also a very nice place with lots of shops and restaurants. The Villa was worth every euro!

The house is simply gorgeous. Our family had a wonderful Christmas holiday here. The host was very generous with items in the refrigerator and a well stocked kitchen. Lots of recommendations of places to eat in the area. Michael met us in the driveway upon arrival and showed us everything in the house, that was very kind. Especially loved access to the washer and dryer because we were traveling with kids. It was too cold to use the pool, but if you are here when it is warm, it would be such delight.

This is the best Airbnb we’ve stayed in, like a 5 star hotel. The villa is beautiful and luxurious. Everything is new and works. Christina the host is amazing, very helpful. Each room has a well sized bathroom with a great shower. A breakfast basket was left outside at 8:30 am each morning - delicious! The kitchen is spotless and has all the tools you’ll need. There’s a BBQ. The villa was cleaned midway and the cleaners did a great job. It is quiet and secure. We slept well. The outside space is stunning. The pool is a constant 1.5 metre depth so perhaps not suitable for very young children. The local village is small and very friendly. There’s a great shop 10 minutes walk away, and next to that is a good restaurant (taverna). You definitely need a car here but I’d recommend you have a car anyway to explore Crete. The coastal town of Almyrida is 10 mins drive away with restaurants and shops. Chania and Rethymno are approx 45 mins drive away. Both have lovely old towns.

We had a lovely week over the Greek Easter period at Villa Rosa. All the facilities are perfectly fine for a week’s holiday .. compact space but fine for 3 of us. Rosemary was extremely responsive and friendly and flexible on a late check out which was really helpful.

This is a spectacular villa and easily matches the photos. One unexpected feature was that one of the two pools was shallow for the kids. That meant they could stand by themselves and they would play in it all day. The adults loved just lying in it too! Nikos was a great host. He welcomed us on to the property and was extremely responsive with our questions. He even delivered extra pool toys and Greek treats during our stay. The area is very private with a short drive to supermarkets and some classic waterfront restaurants. It’s also convenient to get to Chania airport. We loved our stay here as two families, it exceeded our expectations and would strongly recommend.

We had a lovely stay at Stelios Villa. Incredible beautiful surroundings, it’s a short walk into Kalyves, we didn’t realise until day 3 but there’s a small parade of beach bars and restaurants if you walk a bit further than we had been for first 2 days. The stay was lovely, the house was beautiful. We really enjoyed the village and it’s relatively slow pace. Stelios was very responsive to messages and very helpful too.

We’ve never experienced an Airbnb like this – in terms of both the villa and the hospitality. A heartfelt thank you to Eftychis and his wonderful mother – you made our stay unforgetable! We were seven people, including three children (one toddler), and everything was just perfect. The villa is spotless, beautifully designed, and extremely well-equipped – the kitchen had top-tier appliances, and the baby gear was modern, clean, and like new. The house is set in a peaceful location with a breathtaking sea view. When we arrived, a delicious homemade Greek salad and cookies were waiting for us – such a warm welcome! Eftychis was available via chat the whole time: kind, helpful, and always with great local recommendations. This place truly combines beauty, comfort, and care. We’d come back without hesitation. we spent a week in this villa. it is perfectly equipped, clean, modern. the heated and large pool is very pleasant. it is 10 minutes from kissamos. The host was very helpful and responsive from the beginning to the end of the stay.

Katerina was helpful from the start! Arranged a lovely local taxi driver to pick us up from the airport. She was there to greet us on arrival despite the late hour. She left us grapes, tea, coffee, wine, milk, bread and jam for the morning. Home was spotless, had every gadget you would need and more (dishwasher, coffee machine etc) Had small electrical issue one day, but response was quick and issue was sorted immediately by her husband who works locally. Had a lovely weeks stay. Pool was fantastic (5ft deep all over with steps in), great outdoor seating, stunning view of the sea and mountains. Katerina recommended a local shop, 2 great restaurants and 2 bakeries in the town. Beach is 15 minute walk away and well worth a visit. Recommend a hire car as villa on a steep hill which was difficult in the heat and no pavement at times on the walk down. Town of Chania 45 minute drive , bus stop nearby and uses an air-conditioned coach. Highly recommend and absolutely loved this place!

This villa is located in beautiful surroundings..and is completely private. On the left you have views of the sea and on the right views of the mountains. Lake Kournas..a freshwater lake is literally 4 mins up the road and the lovely village of Georgiopolis is 4 mins drive down the hill. Gianni was the best host..allowing us to check out later due to a later flight and us having a 4 year old. Nothing was too much and he was always available for help or advice if needed. He lives close by and was easily accessible via phone. Gianni also provided us with some of his own olive oil which he makes from his own olive groves..and he ensured the garden and pool was also ready and clean for our stay. I hope to return one day to crete and will likely stay again in the airbnb if available as we spent 11 days in paradise here! We also felt this was the most beautiful part of the island from the north side and was central to both Chania and Rethymno towns. Take care Gianni and family
