The Strandheim farm is located 532 m above sea level in Körøremsgrende, far south in the mountain village Lesja. The farm produces milk and meat and is located in quiet surroundings with beautiful nature, wildlife and mountains. The river Lågen in the immediate vicinity offers great opportunities for swimming and fly fishing in our zone. Short distance to Dovrefjell and Dombås. You have the staff cage to yourselves. To Sjusjøen cross-country skiing 8 km drive, to Hafjell/Hunderfossen Adventure Park 30 min, and Sjusjøen alpine for families only 10 min. Lillehammer city center 15 min. Evening and Sunday open grocery store Mesnali 3 min. Bed linen and towels can be rented and must be pre-booked - price NOK 250/£20/€25 per set. Feel free to bring your own. We offer snowshoeing and cross-country skiing instruction in winter, please contact us if you are interested.

Kårstua at Viken Fjellgård, right next to fishing lake

An hour's drive from Lillehammer is Viken Fjellgård by the lake Espedalsvatnet. And if you want to enjoy yourself indoors with a fire in the stove, a hot drink, a good book or a game, or if you want to go skiing, go for a walk on snowshoes, a hike, ice fishing, build a fire, make a snow cave and a snow lantern, or just look at the stars, this can be the place. There are miles of prepared ski slopes here. The trails begin right outside the farm, or you can drive a short distance to start the hike on the high mountains.

Cross-country skiers paradise | WiFi

Mountain cabin. In summer and autumn, the area is fantastic for hiking, biking or paddling. With 350 km amazing ski tracks on the doorstep, this is a cross-country skiing paradise. Borrow our skis, just bring boots. «Skisporet» provides info on track status. 15 min to Sjusjøen ski center (alpine). The area also offers exciting activities such as dog sledding (Sjusjøen Huskey Tours).

Vang Gardens - Old restored log house

This house is located in Valdres, in between Oslo and Bergen. Surrounding area give many oppurtunities both summer and winter. Border of Jotunheimen, about 45 min drive to Bygdin. Also Sognefjord is within 1 h reach. Distanse to Fagernes and Beitostølen is about 45 min. The famous old Kongevegen is within short distance, both the spectacular Kvamskleiva and crossing Filefjell.
