Absolutely wonderful to stay by the ocean and listen to the waves. The deck is a perfect spot for sunrise too. Epic place to relax and renew.

We loved this place! Our kids felt at home, clean, beautiful location. Described clearly & the home has a lush yard and very comfortable interior. Well equipped kitchen made it easy for staying in and enjoying the peaceful location.

Brian is very nice and responds enthusiastically to all kinds of queries. The house has a beautiful view and you can enjoy a very nice view of the ocean from the comfort of your home. The rooms are also very well appointed. The kitchen is very well equipped with a dishwasher and a wide variety of dishes. The washer and dryer were also great. It was a very desirable house and we had a great time here.

We had a party of 6 which included a 6 and 9 year old. The home was clean, especially the bathrooms and kitchen you felt right at home. Although no AC it was still comfortable with the fans and we would be out during the day where it was hot the most. The tv was available and the kids enjoyed it. Loves how there was lots of sitting space and layout of the house. Two bathrooms helped so much with the 6 of us. The outside porch was terrific too. Labels on the light switches helped and were thoughtful. A very convenient location. Thankful for airbnbs available like yours !

Just book this place! You won’t regret a moment of listening to the waves crashing on the shore or enjoying the coqui frogs singing at night. The view is spectacular, and the home itself had everything we needed or even wanted. It’s truly a peaceful oasis, away from the action, but close enough to enjoy local eateries and shops. The black sand beach was only a 8 minute walk, and we went multiple times a day. The winds can get intense on the deck at times, and it rains some each day. However, we didn’t mind either fleeting inconvenience, since the living room had great views out every window. Still spent a ton of time on the lanai enjoying the ocean sounds and view. From an accessibility perspective, the shower/tub is a huge soaker and might be hard to get in and out of. Otherwise there were minimal stairs to the main level, and the flow of the home is so easy to maneuver. We didn’t use the upstairs bed this stay. We are looking forward to staying here again soon. Joe and Cindy's place was such an amazing place to get to experience! It's definitely a must for anyone looking into staying on the East side of the Big Island of Hawaii; especially if you like seeing the sun rise!

Our family had a wonderful time at Michelle & Joe's airbnb! The location is perfect. Quiet street with a beautiful yard! the Lanai (porch) was divine! Joe came over and opened some coconuts for us and our boys and then told us all about the plants around the home! The home was super clean and rhe beds were very comfortable! My 12 year old loved the trampoline and the pool! The kitchen was beautiful and I enjoyed cooking there. We even grilled out on the grill by the pool! If we come back, this is definitely where we would stay again!

Very nice homes on the ocean cliffs. The pool was very warm and refreshing. It was nice waking up to the beautiful view.

Our group of 10 stayed here for 5 days and had a great experience. The house was super spacious, clean, and comfy—plenty of room for everyone to relax without feeling crowded. The full kitchen and washer/dryer were big pluses and made the stay feel easy and homey. The neighborhood was quiet and full of nature, with long roads perfect for a morning jog—I loved running along the scenic volcanic coastline. Communication with Diana was smooth and friendly, a big contrast to a previous host I’d contacted. She even had someone meet us to give a quick tour, which was really helpful. The pool and jacuzzi were awesome bonuses, but what really sold me was the space and thoughtful amenities. Highly recommend!

This hale was one of the most beautiful rentals we’ve stayed at on the BI. The sound of the waves, birds, and even hearing boars in the distance was so refreshing. Our favorite spot was the screened in porch. Such a peaceful place. Mrs. Joleen was a great host who showed great aloha. Mahalo for your generosity and kindness. We are so grateful to have found this Airbnb just a few months before Merrie Monarch. While it is a little further away from Hilo, the drive was very easy and filled with green views. She was very responsive to answering all our questions and if we ever needed anything. Definitely quick and easy going communication which I appreciate. The home fit 4 of us comfortably and had everything we could possibly need for our 5 day trip. The pups were also very cute, friendly and well behaved. The location of the home is also in such a beautiful little neighborhood. Would definitely stay here again if visiting in the future. Thank you so much!!

Great fit for our laid back group, a serene slice of heaven in Puna Palisades neighborhood. Karan communicated routinely with helpful information for outside visitors. Renters should be aware that check in process is different than AirBnB messages -- there is no code emailed, rather check in direct with owners. All good :-)

One of the most unique and magical experiential stays I’ve discovered on Airbnb. Place looks better than photos and is more comfortable than expected. Perfect kitchen, utilities and amenities despite being off the grid. Literally on a lava field and also close to the ocean (however, swimming is not accessible, fyi). This home made me feel otherworldly and nurturers my spiritual energy. We had 3 beautiful nights and hope I get to come back. Kaimu farmers market close by on Saturdays is a must to checkout. Volcano national park is an hr drive away but totally worth driving to and from. The other gate entrance to the park is only a mile away to reach by foot (no cars allowed). An incredibly cool experience to wander around in the field. This was one of the highlights of my trip to Hawaii. Highly recommend!

If I could give 10 stars out of 5 I would. I had to book last minute and Jon was so accommodating. While he couldn’t help me with same day booking he gave me a nearby recommendation and when I asked if I could adjust my booking for the next day he helped me do so. The space was very peace and beautiful. The balcony was great for birding, relaxing, and eating our meals. It was the perfect respite we needed. Jon also had such a kind and relax presence about him that made you feel great about being on his property:)

Great little place in the jungle absolutely loved it!!!!! The space was perfect for me (the upstairs unit) and there was good air flow and lighting with proper fans. It was a little cooler than I expected and had to grab a small blanket from the closet. Grace let me extend my stay for an hour due to a yoga class I was attending ending later than expected. She was very kind and communicated with me as I arrived via text making getting acquainted much more peaceful. I felt safe and would highly recommed

Very close to Kehene, which is ideal! Big place. View from the balcony in the morning is very nice. Very clean. Andre was accommodating and responsive! I would definitely stay here again.

Sharon and Stephen were phenomenal hosts, extending warm hospitality and going above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Every day we were surprised with fresh papayas and limes. Their home was clean, spacious, and boasted a well-stocked kitchen. It was a pleasure seeing them, with every interaction so pleasant. The neighborhood is a hidden gem. We’ll miss this place dearly!

This was an amazing place — so peaceful and relaxing. Truly one of the best listings I’ve come across, with great value for the price. I feel very lucky to have stayed in such a lovely home. Everything I needed for daily life was already there, thoughtfully provided. Fawni did a wonderful job making sure the house was fully equipped with all the essentials. It was a perfect stay🌴🥰
