Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Hawaiian Paradise Park

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This place felt like home in a very quiet and beautiful neighborhood. It was so perfect for our needs. 2 hours to South Point area/Green Sand beach. Less than an hour to Volcano National Park. Half hour to Pahoa beaches and geothermal ponds. Super clean, well stocked with amenities, very responsive hosts. I would absolutely stay here again.

Everything was as described and we enjoyed our stay at the property - it was between Hilo and Volcanoes which worked well for us. Cooling the bedroom down does take some time, as the A/C is only in the living room and the cool air doesn't get into the bedrooms very easily, combined with the slat windows not sealing so some of the cool air leaks out of the house. However, the house was very clean and comfortable, and we really enjoyed our stay there.

I wish I had more time to stay to enjoy the beauty of this place. The house was very clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Kids enjoyed a fruit garden and had a comfortable sleep. We got to meet the host, and they were very friendly. I would definitely stay again on the next trip.

What a nice to stay to be close to both Maunakea and Volcano. Very convenient if you want to tour these places at a very reasonable price. Serine place with frog and bird sounds to fall asleep.

This is my second time staying at Andrew's place. This time for my birthday weekend with my fiance. Such a cute and peaceful place to stay for a couple nights. It had everything we needed and was a perfect base to go around to Pahoa and Hilo from. Andrew is a great host and made it easy for us to find with very detailed instructions and since we were getting in late at night, even left the porch lights on so we could get in more easily. Would definitely stay again!

My family of four loved staying at Wendy's. The house was open so the frequent rains and jungle sounds were amazing and such a wonderful respite from suburban living. The property is gorgeous and my kids loved exploring; the old cat Mango was also a highlight. Wendy and Marcos were both very friendly and my 7 year old was so excited to cut an ulu with Marcos. We loved our stay here and would do so again in a heartbeat.

Thanks again for sharing you gentle paradise with us it was truly the Hawai’i we were seeking and found it. We are now in love with the “ Hilo side” and can’t thank you enough. All the best. Rob and Helene Crane

The stay with Robynne was amazing! It's rare to find such a great host and such an incredibly cosy and super clean Airbnb. We would have loved to stay longer. We couldn't have imagined a better stay. Yes! Yes! Yes! Stay here!!!! Don’t even bother looking anywhere else. There is not enough space in this app to describe how pleasant our stay was. This home has everything we needed and then some! It was a breath of fresh air after staying in a mini-room in Oahu before arriving in Hilo. This was a very quiet, clean home with a large bathroom, large living space with living room and kitchen, and a large bedroom with tons of closet space. We could have easily stayed here a month in comfort. Save yourself some time, stop looking around. Book Tulpe’s place.

The neighborhood was peaceful, the beds were very comfortable, all the information was clear, our host was highly responsive and kind. We had everything we need to make our stay wonderful

Truly an oasis! Dana and Gregory are wonderful hosts and Rivendell was one of our favorite Air BnB stays. The apartment was spotless and well-stocked, the bed was so comfortable, and the hot tub was very well-maintained and heated quickly. Now for the best part! The landscaped property and waterfall made for peaceful mornings and restful evenings. We wished we were staying longer. Mahalo for the perfect weekend stay! We will be back!

Jeannie and her place were absolutely amazing. By far the best Airbnb experience I've ever had. We came in super late because we opted to head straight towards Kīlauea to try and see it erupting, and she was super accommodating with leaving everything up and on for us to easily get in late at night. There were tons of fruit trees she offered to let us pick from, the room had literally everything we could need. From a fridge, microwave, wine opener, utensils, all of the beach items you could need - chairs, TOWELS (huge plus), boogie boards, flashlights, legit everything. The bathroom was even stocked up with soap, hair products, sprays, lotions. I cannot rave enough on how at-home and comfortable we felt here. The place was spotless, the decked out patio was a huge plus. I would highly highly recommend and we will definitely be back for our next big island visit! I was there with my boyfriend for the week. The location was great! Within walking distance g distance to great restaurants and the best farmers market I’ve ever been to. The views are absolutely stunning. Watching the sunrise in the morning was so beautiful. We felt right at home. I would definitely stay there again! Thank you so much Carla and Joe! It was a little slice of heaven there.

LOVED this location and the unit! Gorgeous views of the adjacent park from the lanais and a great place for morning walks or runs. I also really appreciated the extra touches — the welcome basket, yoga mats, well-equipped kitchen and bathroom, and a very comfortable bed. Great value. I’d absolutely stay here again.

Unit was very clean and host provided good information-follow her instructions to find unit. Condo community is a bit aged/in need of maintenance but the unit was very well maintained. We used laundry and this worked very well.

The place was beautiful and really close to downtown Hilo. Carrie was very helpful and gave some helpful tips. Would stay there again anytime.

Linda was so quick to answer and her place was even better than pictured. Completely modern and updated, with a super warm feel! Had all of the appliances you could need, and the location was great. Surrounding area was beautiful. Would absolutely stay here again and truly recommend it!!

Joe and Cindy’s place in Hilo was a great base of operations for all the adventuring we had lined up while visiting the area. The location is walkable to several great restaurants, shops, Ola Brewing, and 7-11(best musubi on the island). The bed was super comfortable. The space was clean, uncluttered, and felt larger than the description would insist. Loved the tv hidden in a frame with vintage Nintendo games and two wireless controllers. The hosts are responsive when asked a question. There was an unfortunate issue that happened on the grounds in front of the lanai while we were there. They addressed the issue showing aloha hospitality when things didn’t go perfectly. The scooters they have available for rent were in great condition and super convenient for getting distances that are borderline walkable. Hilo is a great little downtown. So many cool things to do and see! Mahalo, Joe and Cindy! We now love Hilo!

I have stayed in a lot of Airbnb accommodations. This condo is the best. It it's perfect for one or two people it they aren't sharing beds. I love sitting on the balcony and watching the waves. I have been here multiple times and I am very comfortable here. Restaurants, market, and beaches are close and easy to access. I love staying here. Thank you!
