Tethera Nook - a beautifully crafted retreat

Matthew James RichardRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We had a lovely stay at Tethera Nook with our dog Luna! Emma and Craig were brilliant and it was lovely to see them working so hard on their gorgeous garden while we were there! It provided a lovely place to sit with a drink in the mornings! Their very friendly dog Capone always happy to come and say hello! It felt very private the whole week, walking distance to Kendal town, and we even hiked up to Scouts Scar which was recommended in the guide book (the views definitely did not disappoint). Tethera nook had everything we needed for our stay and with it being extremely hot the fan was an added bonus in keeping us and our dog cool! The eggs and veg that Emma leaves out is incredible and the little gifts of brownies, gin and jams on our arrival kept us going for the whole week! Everything was just perfect for our relaxing week away in the lakes, with close links to the rest of the national park! We would absolutely stay here again!

We had an excellent week staying at the Old Shop. The accommodation was very comfortable and was finished to a very high standard. Everything we could have needed was supplied. Robin & Michelle were very friendly and welcoming. I would certainly recommend this accommodation and if, or when, we return to Uist we will certainly try to stay at the Old Shop again.

Islands View - Panoramic sea views

Perfect base for our week in Skye. Worth the longer drive to feel truly away from it all. Stunning views meant we were content on the sofa when the weather wasn’t conducive to being out. Highly recommend.

Wild Atlantic Bus at Aishling Cottage

MayaRating, 5 stars1 day ago
You know the graphic of the gem allocated to some listings? This is a super gem with a super human of a host. Gorgeous views all throughout the windows, wind rustling the leaves, comfy beds, mystique for us at any age including kids, a peaceful outdoor shower, a sublime creative renovation of the bus, and a host like the old days of AirBnB. I hope to be lucky enough to return one day.

The Road to Skye - The Studio @ Ceannacroc Lodge

MarziaRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Wonderful accommodation, surrounded by greenery and tranquility! Beautiful view from the house, which is very cozy and equipped with everything, we felt at home. The location is also very convenient for visiting the Isle of Skye (about 1 hour), Inverness (about 1 hour), and Loch Ness (30 minutes). Elizabeth was extremely kind to welcome us despite the late hour and gave us many tips on places to visit. We had a really good time! Thank you!

No.1 George IV Bridge - One Bedroom

JenniferRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
it was right on the main drag, easy to find and close to lots to do. It was very secure in that you needed a code to enter the first door off the street and then a code to get into your apartment. The apartment was very nice and enjoyable. The view of the castle from our window was great! The host was very accessible. We would return! Thanks,

The Flat

JamesRating, 5 stars6 days ago
What can I say. This host goes above and beyond. I mentioned we were going to celebrate my wife’s birthday and there was banners, balloons and a cake when we got there with her favourite music playing also. These were lovely touches I have not seen before using Airbnb. Also Stocked drinks fridge, essentials in the fridge. Clear instructions on everything in the flat. Made it feel like. Home from home. We will definitely be coming back Thanks

No Eleven@The Ironworks, Lake District

DavidRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Glyn was so helpful. Initially I was overwhelmed with the instructions as I was so anxious about travelling with a vision impaired partner. Glynn’s instructions were very easy to follow, I worried unnecessarily, and Glyn went out of his way to assist me with our baggage, local restaurants etc. The apartment was wonderful and the stay enjoyable. Highly recommend the property to any prospective travellers

The Butlers Basement

NatalieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We spent two nights at The Butler's Basement for my husband's birthday and it was an ideal base. We did have an issue getting in as the lockbox didn't work, but her son came down and resolved the issue. The apartment was very clean and in a great area - some lovely bars and restaurants that we preferred to spend time in, more than the busier side of Edinburgh. Gemma was very responsive to my messages and we also had a bottle of fizz in the fridge as well as some short bread and chocolate. It might be an idea to put a small bottle of milk in the fridge, as we did have tea and coffee provided but didn't want to buy a whole pint of milk to make a couple of drinks. However it certainly wasn't an issue that would stop us staying again!

The Hidden Warehouse - with Garage Parking*

ZaraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Hey all, it was my first time in Edinburgh and i chose not to stay in old town but in Stockbridge and what a good decision. The area was so beautiful with lots of small shop and restaurants . Sonia and Chris were great hosts and their place was extremely comfortable. I apologise to them for not clearing up the morning breakfast as we were in a rush to leave. The place is cosy yet spacious. Had all necessary amenities. Sonia was very quick in all the responses. The place came comes with a guide to all the places and things to do near by. The place is next to a small but really nice art gallery and i got to buy some art for my home. I would totally stay here again.

The Mews Stables, a studio in Edinburgh's West End

ColetteRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We had a lovely stay in Jock’s apartment. It was so centrally located just a stones throw from Haymarket station and only about 10 minutes from Princes Street. It was in a lovey quiet location tucked away out of sight. It was spotlessly clean with everything we could have wanted. The little breakfast hamper and the milk were much appreciated. We took Jock’s advice and walked into town via William Street which has many restaurants and lovely shops. Edinburgh is a great city with so much to offer. Unfortunately we were only there for a few days as we were attending the Highland Show. We will be back, hopefully for longer next time. This place is a little gem. .
