Apartment holiday rentals in Heimaey

The apartment was comfortable for us while we were in Selfoss visiting a friend. The washer and EV charger were a bonus. Kitchen was well equipped and the place was clean. There was one issue, but the host resolved it very well. I would recommend.

Great location and beautiful town with multiple walks available. There was a map on the refrigerator that made planning a walk easy.

A nice peaceful suburban location, with a very comfortable bed and plenty of space. We ate at the nearby golf club restaurant, which was really good and could have made this a base for further exploring the area, but were on our way to the airport next day.

The location was convenient situated between the airport and the Golden Circle. We had a great stay!

We were only here for a night but it was a lovely and very cozy place to stay! Great shower and we appreciated the mini fridge and kettle!

This house is gorgeous with beautiful views and beautiful and comfortable accommodations. Our host, Karen, was so thoughtful and friendly, with great recommendations for activities on the island. Our family of seven had the best time staying here at their home, and a great time touring the island for volcanoes and puffins. Everyone in the family agreed that we needed to return here!

We loved Hulda's apartment. The location is perfect for your Golden Circle Experience as it's really close to all the main attractions. The apartment is cute, very clean and easy to access.Also three of us were very comfortable and a family of four could manage well there. It's less than five minutes from multitudes of great restaurants in what looks like an up and coming town in Sulfoss. I could not recommend Hulda and her place enough!

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our 1 night here. We slept soundly, thanks to the very effective blackout curtains in the arctic summer, and we kept similar hours to the hosts living above. We were thankful for the coffee machine and microwave in the morning. In the evening we walked to dinner from the listing. Gísli was quick to respond when I messaged him in the night to ask a question. Everything was comfortable and I recommend staying here!

If I could give this place and host a million stars, I would! Alma was a present wrapped in angel wings. My husband injured his foot making it difficult to walk. We were really struggling with how to get to the house (no taxi available and we didn’t bring our rental car on the ferry) and she actually came and picked us up! That’s just above and beyond kind. I will forever be grateful!

Our stay at Brynja’s was great! She was very proactive about communication and the Airbnb was exactly what we needed. Some great tourist spots were conveniently nearby and others were not a long drive away. Highly recommend staying here, especially if you want to spend less time driving and more time exploring like we did!

Perfect place for our short stay on Heimaey. Apartment was cozy, clean, spacious and practical! Had everything we needed. Perfect location, nice neighborhood and very close to city center. Beautiful view of the water and sunset! Everything was as expected from the listing. Thanks to host!

We are sorry that we could have not stayed longer because doing some green work would be fun for us. Also the beds were very comfortable.

The apartment was beautiful, clean, and quiet. The neighborhood is very walkable and there are great restaurants nearby. I would have liked to stayed longer!

Dagbjort's home was extremely lovely. we especially loved interacting with her cats Nala and Sponsa. the Christmas decorations were a very cozy added touch. We used the location as a home for seeing the southern portion of the golden circle and the south coast and I'm happy to say it worked out beautifully even if the weather was a bit finicky (but that's what you deal with in the middle of winter.) I highly recommend this home and will check if it is available the next time we visit Iceland.

Our host did an excellent job of preparing our rental for our toddler, having toddler beds set up in advance. They also had plenty of toddler dishes and a high chair. They messaged when we arrived to let us know we could play with the toys in the back yard as well. The apartment had plenty of space for the 4 of us, and was within a few minutes of many convenient shops. It was easy to access the main road to get to our various destinations, but the apartment itself is at the end of a quiet and safe, family oriented neighborhood.

Great stay. A quiet and very nice location near the Golden Circle, the Highlands... perfect. The accommodation is very clean, well-equipped and the spa is a treat at the end of the day. Very good choice!!

We very much enjoyed our stay, and the hosts are very helpful. When we had a tough decision to make about whether or not to try to drive in a snowstorm, they had accurate and safe advice about what we could expect from road conditions. They were welcoming and respected our privacy in great balance. We will definitely visit them again if we are fortunate enough to return to Iceland. We highly recommend them.
