A really nice, well-kept and spacious house with a large property which is completely surrounded by a hedge and fence in it, so you are undisturbed and the dog can run freely. In addition, there is a large, lockable shed on the property in which bicycles can be stored, among other things. We felt very comfortable and were able to recover super!

Barry is a very friendly, easily accessible host who cares. The communication was great. The house is as described in the photos and text. Perhaps it should be mentioned that the stairs to the bedrooms upstairs are very steep and narrow. For us and our (big) children, this was not a problem, but with young children this could be an issue. We were very pleased with the mosquito nets and the blinds to darken in the bedrooms. The beds are comfortable. It's very quiet on the lake, even when many cottages are inhabited - a relaxed, beautiful atmosphere. The use of the TV was only a mystery to us, but after a demand from Barry everything worked well. The SUPs and boats are a highlight - our kids loved it. Water lilies and the daily visit of ducks and chickens are included. Shopping is nearby, and Barry gives good tips for things to do and getaways. Overall, a great vacation.

Beautiful house, everything we needed, perfectly clean and we felt at home right away. The garden behind the house was also very pleasant to sit and the bonus was the morning visitors, 3 ducks that entertained us first thing in the morning 😊 Host Lukas responded very quickly and always helped Thank you 😊

It was nice and everything is always nicer when the sun is shining but in all cases: - very nice, cozy cottage - terrace directly overlooking the pond (exciting conversations with local ducks) - very easy check-in and responsive host - superb sunset to end the day while eating on the terrace.

We had an incredible stay ! The host was super super friendly and responsive. The apartment felt like home and it was beautifully decorated. It was clean and the host provided everything needed ! The apartment is in the middle of the city and there’s lots of restaurants. Also great for walks ! We can fully recommend to stay

We had a lovely 8 night stay in this cozy cottage by the canal. The bed was comfy, the place was peaceful, and Noortje was a kind host who even gave us fresh eggs from her chickens. There was some parking lot construction early on and occasional activity from the business next door, but nothing major. Just a heads-up: check-in and check-out were in person (not self-service), and there was a tourist tax to be paid in cash at the end, which wasn’t mentioned upfront in the listing. Overall, a great spot for a quiet getaway.

We had a nice time, the amenities were completely sufficient and we especially enjoyed the small garden and the sleeping berth. Everything was very cozy and the communication worked out great too. We had forgotten the linens, which fortunately wasn't a problem. If you really like to just go on a cozy vacation, you will be happy here. For interesting tourist attractions or cities you already have a car available.

Paul, the landlord, has a calm and personal manner. Very pleasant. Absolutely helpful, very quick to respond and friendly. Equipment - especially the kitchen - was definitely fine. Gladly again!

A very clean an bright chalet with all amenities. Plenty of privacy, loved the separate patio listening to the birds. Dishwasher in a separate room in house making it unhandy . Missed a normal floor brush only. But all in all will definitely return.

Wonderful location for a weekend away. Communication with Sandra was very pleasant. The house has all the comforts. The men have fished in the area and the women walked well with kids.

We had a great week at Rebelle and Joost's place. In addition, we were always lucky with the weather and were able to spend some hours of sunshine on the terrace. From Dirkshorn we made beautiful excursions to the surrounding cities such as Alkmaar, Amsterdam, Schagen, Petten, Zandvoort ... For this, the accommodation was an ideal starting point. A nice little place in a very nice location with a terrace for sunbathing. Very nice hosts who were available for questions or recommendations. We were very pleased, gladly again.

We were very satisfied, the sanitary facilities were a little small but sufficient for a vacation 😊 The living area and bedrooms were great. The beach is easily accessible by car as well as zoos. Overall, very satisfied.

Jo is incredibly hospitable and you immediately feel welcome. There was a bottle of wine cold and Jo had just turned on the heating just before our arrival. The house has all the comforts. And thanks to the canopy, you can also sit outside in the evening in autumn. Go here if you are looking for a quiet place in North Holland and just want a nice stay.
