Forest Yurt

Forest Yurt has all of the spirit of an off-grid forest yurt, in a quiet Anchorage neighborhood, 5 mins from airport. This 16' partial off-grid unit is wood stove heated (cut wood included), or guests can use a space heater. Comfortable full bed. Basic kitchenette amenities available: microwave, hot plate, tools, pans. No plumbing; sink and toilet are an eco- friendly Boxio system. Next to a forested park with trails. Enjoy the hot tub, collect fresh chicken eggs, and breathe forest air!

This Two Bedroom plus Loft (please read additional information for loft) is situated 1 block from the world famous Tony Knowles Coastal Trail that hugs the coastline of the Cook Inlet with beautiful views of the water, Anchorage skyline with moose and other Alaska animals that live in the area. PILOTS: the runway is a 10 minute walk, tie down the saucer and ride our community beater bikes into town for food and music. The Hope HUB has great views of the surrounding mountains on both sides. Use our outdoor fire pit, stocked with wood. Meet Wally our resident walrus and enjoy a truly extraterrestrial experience.
