Vallakot Farm Guesthouse is a small guesthouse, located in Northeast Iceland in the middle of the Diamond circle. It is situated in a green and peaceful valley called Reykjadalur and the village Laugar is only a few kilometers away with a restaurant, grocery shop, a swimming pool and other amenities. Vallakot Farm is both a farm and a guesthouse and a place that has been in the family for decades. We have three studio apartments built in 2017 and a cabin that we finished renovate in June 2023.

Hamrar Farm Apartment

The studio apartment is newly renovated in the basement of our house. You enter a room with two beds ( one 160 cm bed and one 90 cm bed) in the other room is kitchen and bathroom. Me and my familie live on the second floor. We are on a farm and have horses, sheeps, chickens and a dog We are also near by many interesting places, about 30 km from Mývatn, 35 km from Húsavík, 15 km from Goðafoss watefall.

Located on the land of farm Syðri-Hagi on the west side of Eyjafjörður, You can explore the majestic mountain ranges and welcoming valleys either by car or on foot. In the late summer you can go berry picking on the farms land. We are located about 15 km from Dalvík and 30 km from Akureyri.
