Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Ilfracombe

Just had 4 nights at the West Wing, it was well presented and had its own character and charm. We loved the surroundings and most definitely loved the fresh eggs for breakfast. The hosts were great and we immediately felt relaxed and at home. I would highly recommend a visit.

We had the most wonderful week at the Rocket House. James has created the most wonderfully welcoming and enjoyable space. The house was truly more beautiful than we anticipated. It had everything we needed. The amenities were functional and well-appointed. The whole house was well-suited for our needs and was incredibly livable. My favorite part was the windows. If I have to clean up from dinner, the view made it so much more enjoyable. Additionally, the house was spotless and easily accessible. Check-in and check-out were super easy. Also, learning about the history of the house made it more meaningful to discover the specialness of the location and the house's origins. I CANNOT say enough good things about the location. The SW Coast Path is literally just outside the door. The views were stunning. Working with James was a joy. He was communicative, informative, and accommodating. I have already sent this listing to multiple friends!

One of the most comfortable and well equipped accommodations I have ever stayed in. The house is a real home from home. Tricia really went the extra mile with welcome scones, tea and chocolate!!! All the little things like the fresh flowers in the house really made it feel so welcoming. An absolute gem.

This barn was amazing eveything you needed was supplied The garden was fully secure so my dogs loved it, Noel gave us some brilliant recommendations to eat out , local amenities , take aways The hosts were amazing , left us & the dogs lots off treats which we really enjoyed We will be back again next year Thank you again for making our holiday one to remember From Jemma, Clynt , Eric & Luna 🐾🐾

We had wonderful days in "the den". Shanti and her family are heart-warming people with a beautiful garden and great friendliness! We would love to come back one day and can recommend to stay and enjoy the place! Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at Katie and David’s place. Katie’s communication was fantastic and they were both very friendly and gave us lots of local recommendations. They very kindly setup a travel cot for us and had a high chair for our toddler which made our travels simpler. The place is very comfortable and had all that we needed for our stay - fully equipped kitchen / nice bathroom. Barnstaple was a fantastic spot with which to explore the north Devon coastline which was beautiful. Would stay again thank you very much for being tremendous hosts!

What can we say, from booking our stay, to leaving after an amazing week, we truly felt at home. Kam and Bens home is beautiful throughout, there wasn’t one thing that we thought we needed or wanted that wasn’t provided for. Kam met us on arrival, earlier than we expected, and showed us around her wonderful home, all instructions in a helpful guide in the kitchen, even tide times, for trips. Great advice for our trip to Lundy, she even sent us up to date weather forecast . Kam provided us with mobile numbers if we were stuck for anything, and ensured it was ok for Ben to check the hot-tub, when we were out. Lovely touches, such as robes for getting out of the tub, were much appreciated. Superb hosts, will definitely visit again, our daughter and her partner joined us for a few days and loved every minute, lovely walk to the beach, only 10mins away, and the most amazing sunsets from the lounge and bedroom . As a group of 3 this was great value. Amazing location. Accommodation was spacious and well maintained. A lovely complementary gift started our short break off with a smile and so appreciated. Would definitely return in the future.

An overall fantastic stay. Amazing views, has everything you need in the flat and a walk away from a cute town and seconds from the sea. Also close to other nice places in North Devon so very accessible. Would highly recommend - great value for money!

Aisling was an amazing host. Answered any queries in a very friendly and efficient manner. Accommodation was very clean,had everything we needed. Great location,short walk to beach etc. Parking very useful. Would highly recommend. 🙂

Really lovely stay. Alison was very responsive and helpful. We had a lovely few days exploring the beautiful coastline.

Amazing views and right in the middle of Westward Ho! The accommodation was very spacious and had all the home comforts. We travelled with a 5 month old, and we were offered a travel cot which was really accommodating. Secure parking with a dedicated parking space on site was also a big plus. The downside of having such great views of the sunset meant that the rooms were very light despite the blinds being all down, which can be an issue for young ones/ light sleeping adults. Overall, had a great stay and would come back again.

We had a great stay. The apartment is an easy walk to Braunton where there are plenty of good restaurants and pubs and a short drive to Staunton sands. The apartment was clean and well equipped. It was dog friendly with use of the garden. We would definitely recommend this for a holiday close to the beaches of North Devon.

Tory was a great host. Very proactive, friendly and contactable. The apartment was fantastic. Just as described and a 2 minute walk to the beach and local shops, restaurants etc. very welcoming and perfect for a getaway base while being out and about with all the amenities you would need. Would definitely recommend.

We had a great stay in Woolacombe with our 6 month old. The view from the apartment is better than the photos, so relaxing and the apartment has everything to make your stay really easy and stress free with a little one!

30th December 2024 - 2nd January 2025 We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Helen's beautiful quiet, private Bolt Hole. We loved the decor and had everything we needed to make our stay just perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring Ilfracombe just a 2 minute walk into town and visiting the many recommendations Helen gave us. Thank you so much Helen

The apartment was clean, modern, peaceful and well situated. Kirsten left a very handy information pack and we had everything we needed for our stay, so we didn’t need to bother the hosts. The apartment is beautifully furnished and decorated, the kitchen well equipped, and the living area light, bright and with a nice view across the trees of the garden. Having driveway parking was a real bonus, and Lidl supermarket was just 3 minutes walk round the corner. A great place to stay!

Great place to stay, 2nd time for us, great views and 5 mins walk to centre and beach, apartment is lovely, everything you need and very clean and comfortable, we have dogs so it’s great there is a porch to clean them off and also a bit of outside space for them in the morning, will definitely book here again.

Emily’s apartment is really comfy and more than covers all the bases. It was clean, light and well equipped. Emily sets you up with tea, milk etc. Easy parking and handy for the beaches and lovely walks. We slept well and found it an easy, attractive and generally great base for our stay. Communication with Emily was excellent. Thankyou.

Stayed for 4 night’s at Neal’s flat and we loved it. Very clean, beautifully styled and furnished with lots of thoughtful touches. Centrally located in town so no problems finding shops, pubs and eateries. The Spicy Mare takeaway just a few doors away is exceptional, but there are lots of other options available. Beautiful countryside very close by, lots of walks to choose from. Be prepared for hills ( although there is a funicular railway between Lynton and Lynmouth if you need to cheat!). We hope to stay again.

Another visit as so enjoyed previous. Easy access even on a bank holiday weekend to Combe Martin and Woolacombe accompanied by elderly relative. Thank you for another great stay!

Excellent accommodation within walking distance of beach and shops. Very nicely styled with a relaxing and spacious feel. Highly recommended.
