Beachfront holiday rental in Illinois

This was our 2nd stay. Love the location so we returned for our Wedding weekend. So Beautiful!! The sunsets iver the water cant be beat. We will be back.

Our stay was perfect! Alisa was an accommodating host and easy to communicate with. Her place is exactly what is pictured and is as described. My kids loved her DVD collection and we had a great time playing games — we were indoors mostly since the weather wasn’t cooperating for fishing. We felt completely comfortable!

Lovely place, I would absolutely consider staying there again. My friends and I all enjoyed our stay.

Larry was a very accommodating and responsive host! The place was amazing and exactly as described. Plenty of room, amenities, and beautiful views. He made sure we had plenty of supplies and all the stuff for Smores!

Shomari was a great host, very friendly and gave great recommendations. We had all the towels and he had toiletry items in the bathroom and cooking items (spices, extra drinks) in the kitchen. My girls and I didn’t feel unsafe in the area, although finding street parking on the block can be tough, depending on the time of day. His place is a 25-30 min drive to downtown, soldier field and McCormick place, it can be less or more depending on the traffic. It was a great stay and I would recommend.

Jeffery was so helpful and friendly. The back yard of this house is so beautiful and accommodating for relaxing. The master bedroom is very comfortable as is the master bed. Jeffery was so responsive even when he was on vacation. I made a mistake on my booking and he was very understanding and worked it out! We had a great time and the house was lovely!

This is the 3rd year coming to Doug's house. Every year he has added new and better accommodations for his guest. i couldn't ask for a better person to rent a bnb from. he's a great guy, he was on the phone to us when the storm rolled through and there was no power. He checked on us a couple times to make sure we were good. Our stay was great, beautiful scenery, and relaxing. We are booking to be back next year soon.

Clean, comfortable, and beautifully appointed apt. Emily and Roya are helpful and communicative, and all the instructions and photos made things very easy. Would happily stay there again!

What a fantastic time we had. It was spacious for the two of us. Comfortable bed and lounging. But the two big things that make this place a win: #1 Rasheed. He really goes above and beyond for his guests. He ensured we had what we needed and was on top of his messages. #2 Location. Everything you need is within reach. Transit options everywhere. Lots of good food, and close by grocery store. So many amazing bars. Great for our summertime adventure! Thanks Rasheed.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful, comfy riverfront home! The peaceful setting and stunning river views made it the perfect place to unwind. The private beach was ideal for fishing, relaxing, and sipping coffee while watching the water. My 7-year-old granddaughter spent hours happily collecting seashells, and we loved ending our days with s’mores by the fire pit. The highlight, though, was the night sky—so clear and full of stars. Stargazing by the river was absolutely magical. It truly felt like luxury glamping with all the comforts of home. We’re already looking forward to coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, peaceful getaway with unforgettable views.

My son was graduating from the Navy Boot camp. I was going to stay in a Suite hotel but my son preferred the Airbnb for the internet and the extra space. And being in spaces with large groups for the past 2 and a half months, he really wanted that. Her place was only 20 minutes from the base so my son and I could get a ride share with ease. I had a couple of concerns when checking in but Lettie did not only respond quickly she sent someone to help and they were sooooo very nice. I'm from the South where hospitality is at the forefront of our culture and they definitely surpassed the bar. My son is going to continue his training in the Great Lakes so I will definitely forgo the hotel and look for this location first.

We wanted a quiet peaceful place away from the hassle for our grandson who graduated from Navy RTC. It was PERFECT, close to great food and peaceful at the lake. Highly recommend this place and Karen is an awesome host. The house is much bigger than appears and incredible.

WWWWOOOWWW!! This host team was EXCEPTIONAL! I’ve stayed in plenty of AirBnBs, and I’ve NEVER encountered a host that was so EXTREMELY accommodating, responsive, and kind! Other hosts should take a page out of their book! The only thing I would change, and it’s not a bad thing (just a matter of preference); I would have some type of blinds or drapes over the living room windows. This will allow for privacy when you’re sitting in the living/dining room areas at night with the lights on inside. Hands down, we would without a doubt book with this team again! Gorgeous home, in a quiet spot, the house has everything and made our trip perfect. We loved kayaking and hanging by the beach. A lot of bass were caught right off shore and the water was surprisingly warm for hanging out. The space inside was perfect for family meals, and relaxing.

Place was absolutely beautiful and clean beds were so clean comfortable. Kitchen was supplied with many amenities that you would need it was a very nice place the only thing we ran out of toilet paper there was only one in each bathroom and we couldn’t find

Leslie was wonderful and accommodating. When we arrived, there was no power because of a recent storm, and Leslie made every effort to provide what we needed and offer alternatives to make us comfortable.

The place was stunning, inside and out. The couches were very comfortable. The hot tub was amazing. The view of the lake and beach was phenomenal. The beds were very comfortable. Had a great time staying here and would 10/10 recommend to others looking for a beautiful, relaxing lake house.

This is a beautiful, old house right by the park and beach, plus a playground and adorable summer snack shack just a few minutes walk away. There's a lovely private back yard and deck for summer evenings. We especially appreciated the kitchen, which was well-stocked with all the dishes and equipment we needed to cook full meals for our large family. We stayed for an extended time, and whenever anything came up, our wonderful hosts were quick to respond and help. Thanks Keith for your hospitality!
