Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Iowa

We arrived in Dubuque for a day cruise down the Mississippi. Nathan's place was conveniently close to the port. Beds are comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet and we felt safe. Good experience thanks Nathan!

Barb was friendly and accommodating throughout the weeks after booking leading up to check in. At check in she was super friendly to the girls who checked in and made herself available should we need anything else. Check in and out instructions were super simple. As for the property itself it was beautiful and well maintained. Yes there were dust bunnies, but nothing out of what would be ordinary for a lakeside cabin. The site had so much recreational things available on the lake such as kayaks and paddle boards and a dock to swim or fish off of. There was a fire pit right in front of the lake and PLENTY of firewood included in the rental. We had a bachelorette party for my sister so we were out and about most of the second day, but had we stayed in, we would have had plenty to do just on the lakeside. the beds were mostly comfortable and there was plenty of space. 10 out of 10 would return, and probably will with the kiddos at some point for a family getaway!

Place was clean, everything was labeled, and they were clear instructions for everything! Would stay again. ☺️

Anthony’s house is really nice and clean. Darn near spotless. He was very responsive when I messaged him. He said he was actively working to deal with the only issue I experienced regarding noise from a nearby property. It was a positive stay overall for me.

This is a beautiful home with all amenities as described. It’s a bit of a walk into town but otherwise fine. Love the fact Alexa everywhere which was useful for music and timings. We have 2 grown up kids, so 4 adults and 1 bathroom was a stretch at times. Mellisa answered my queries almost instantly. Thoroughly recommend a stay here !!

We had a nice stay at Brett's place. It was a great location for us as we were visiting family nearby. Brett was very welcoming and accommodating. We will book again.

Ed & Cindy’s 1875 House was absolutely perfect and as described. We unexpectedly and last minute needed a place to stay during a storm with our 2 dogs and they responded right away. The house was in a quiet and cute neighborhood, was cozy, clean, and full of thoughtful touches. They even had a “pet basket”! Would definitely stay again! !

The home was just as described, close to shops and restaurants and the mighty Mississippi. Spotless throughout,we were extremely pleased! Would highly recommend to anyone,hope to be back one day!

We had a great stay during our visit to Des Moines and would certainly stay with Midwest Hospitality again. The hosts were very responsive and went above and beyond and granted out 1100 check out. We highly recommend this accommodation and host. It’s extremely spacious and was perfect for a long weekend with my family. This Airbnb was great. The location is ideal; it was close to the airport and with easy access to all major routes. The apartment itself is lovely, clean, and feels very safe.

Hannah’s place was perfect for a family reunion. Great combination of quality furnishing / appliance, and kid friendly activities.

Loved our stay. 2 days there were 13 of us definitely tested the capacity lots of room. My husband and I added a day , he seldom gets summer vacations. Bring blankets especially if people sleeping on couches. More kitchen stocking if doing a lot of cooking. The house was awesome one level especially the game room extra space. Two sleeper sofa’s would work in there. Lots of room for large groups. Fire pit and pool absolutely great. Patio and two doors on the poolside was very useful. I did call Douglas with a few questions, very accommodating and friendly.

Owners were very friendly and responsive, and proactive regarding their hot tub being in the shop for repairs during our stay. House is well furnished and very comfortable. Beautiful setting on a pond and a nice gas fire pit to relax with on the patio. Neighborhood is very quaint and was very quiet prior to Memorial Day weekend. This is a very popular family vacation area with many restaurants and family activities to enjoy.

The home is large and great for many people. The party barn was an amazing place to hang out with family and play games. The home and yard is very private, we saw deer running across the yard. The check in and check out was so easy.

Cari’s house was perfect for our visit to the Quad Cities. It is spacious, spotless, very well appointed, and truly comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly and we could easily get a good walk in for our dog there. The pool was a hit with our children (9 and 11) and we certainly enjoyed it cooling off in it as well! The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, appliances, and utensils; so it was easy to make and enjoy full meals there. There are groceries and restaurants nearby and it’s easy to get to other Quad Cities locations from this neighborhood. We loved our time here!

The host was very responsive and communicated well with us. They were very accommodating when we had to ask for some safety pins due to my dress for our son’s wedding broke and they brought some out to us right away! Nice location close to the lake where our son was getting married. Great value for the price it worked for what we needed for the occasion. Would stay again! Thanks for a great stay!

This was a weekend getaway for my husband and I and it blew all of our expectations out of the water! They were so friendly, had beautiful land to look out at and enjoy and the cabin was amazing. We booked this place with visiting the Amana colonies in mind and we want to book it again just to stay in the cabin and enjoy the farm all weekend! It truly was a picture perfect and beautiful experience! Couldn’t recommend this place enough!!!

Peace and serenity. Also, if you like dogs, Louie the golden retriever is the best! Very short and easy drive to cedar falls. Just an adorable place.

We absolutely loved our stay! Being surrounded by nature was so peaceful, we hiked the trail behind the house, did a little fishing at the pond, and ended our nights by the fireplace under the stars. The house itself is so cozy and well equipped, it really felt like a home away from home. We’re already talking about coming back soon!

Clean and everything we needed especially in the kitchen. Bed was comfortable. Great restaurants nearby on Ingersoll. Hosts were responsive - good trip and stay.

My daughter and I stayed here while traveling for a basketball tournament. It was cozy, cute, and comfortable! Be aware that when staying on the river, depending on the season and outdoor temp there are a lot of bugs outside, near the door, etc. Sadly, there were too many for us to enjoy the 3 season room or firepit. However, inside was comfortable and bug free! The outdoor bugs just come along with river life. the view was beautiful! Overall, we were happy with our stay and would stay again. Thank you!

Chad was such a great host and was able to provide last minute changes to my reservations. The tiny home offered a great space for me and my pups that was private but still smaller so it felt like an apartment. He even dropped off a fan for my pup because he was getting warm downstairs. The air conditioner over the bed was heavenly and the cooling comforter and comfy bed was one of the highlights of the space! I will definitely book this place again when I am in Orange City! Highly recommend.
