Family-friendly holiday rentals in Kenai Lake

We loved this little cabin, the only thing that stood out a little different than we were expecting was the “ocean front” aspect. We thought we were going to be staring at the coast from our doors. There was another building between us and the coast but it was still so close and accessible. The place was clean, close to Seward, and had a book full of local recommendations on things to do and places to eat. Would stay here again!

Simon's place is such a gem and Simon is a wonderful host. We love staying there and walking right up to the ski lift!

Great stay, very easy to checkin and checkout. Host had very few checkout instructions which I greatly appreciate.

Our family of nine really enjoyed our stay at Wendy's place. There are several things that are not common in a vacation rental. Our sons immediately picked up the guitar and also started playing the piano. Our grandson's favorite thing was the ice cream maker. (It might have been mine too!)

We LOVED the house! Great location and perfect for a group. Would stay again in either summer or winter! Super effective communication too.

Awesome place in a good location for many of the activities and restaurants in Girdwood! Darcie was super responsive and helpful!

Simply put this is a fantastic place. The home is beautiful and a lot of thought has gone into the layout and amenities. The views out of the many picture style windows alone translate to 5 stars. The host is great - communicative and kind. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and absolutely would return if we ever have the chance to do so again.

This is an amazing place to stay /visit. Plan on coming back. Need more than one week to do everything. Love it there

Beautiful house close to fishing with stunning views. Only thing that would have topped this is if we would have gotten some northern lights. Lots of space, and amenities, bbq, tons of spices (which was great since we had none), very comfortable stay that felt like home. Hated leaving.

Loved the fact that it has its own little garden section with fireplace and outside seating. This venue suited our needs well and we had a wonderful stay. Great amenities provided and thoughtful welcome with free bag of coffee included. There is a bedroom downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs that are set apart either side of an open section in the middle above where the living room is. They each have a half height wall that faces towards this middle void making it open plan, just something to consider if any of your party prefer privacy.

Perfect little place for a few days of fishing. Would definitely come back again! What a beau area, Gwinn’s is only a few minutes down the way and offered great food and place to buy things.

Rebecca’s converted school bus was the perfect place to stay for an impromptu solstice weekend of hiking and music. The bed was soft and cosy, the living space surprisingly spacious and the bathroom clean and just a few steps away. Rebecca communicated well, welcomed my 2 dogs, was flexible and gracious when I found I’d left something behind.

The place was easy to find and even easier to get in :) Kimberly was very helpful and succinct and made it easy to get in without a hitch. The area itself was wonderful and quiet, upstairs neighbors were friendly and polite. Definitely a place to stay at if you’re exploring the area and surrounding hiking areas. Kitchen was clean and had everything we needed to have a filling dinner.

This is a wonderful location with great hosts and wonderful views. The hosts, Dan and Kim, were very responsive to our questions. The directions sent with other information were very helpful. Lots of great places to eat. The tram to the roundhouse was awesome and local gold mine where we panned for some gold. The house is beautiful and as described. Loved our stay. Will definitely book again if I get back to Alaska in the future.

This place was perfect for our fishing trip! Convenient location with parking close to the docks and near several restaurants. Our host was responsive and communicated with us as needed. We were pleased with our stay and the views from our windows!

Lyrissa's place was a nice combo of being close to town but feeling private. It was a beautiful place that was very well decorated and maintained with some fun, unique pieces. There were blinds and curtains on all the bedroom windows and fans. Google maps did give us some trouble in getting up the right driveway but someone came out and directed us before we even had a chance to get out of the car. We did also have problems with the bathroom door latching shut but she was both responsive through the app and it was taken care of by just talking to someone on property. This is definitely a basement apartment so there's not a whole lot of natural light and the kitchen is tiny. They did give us lots of snacks and fresh fruit which was amazing! All in all, this is a great place and the hosts are amazing. It is probably better for a family with kids but it definitely worked for our stay.

Spacious, clean space - even larger than I was expecting! Stayed here for a wedding down the road so didn’t take advantage of the fishing or related amenities but still had a nice stay.

This was the perfect place for us. The beds and pillows were absolutely perfect. Everything was well stocked. We HIGHLY recommend fishing with Jimmy! It was one of the best experiences of our entire trip.

The check in process was seamless and with the varying times our family members arrived, the access and detailed instructions made it easy. The house was perfect for the family gathering we had with plenty of space to sit and socialize. Loved the spacious patio deck. Great location for walking to coffee and quick runs to restaurants.
