Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Kenai Lake

This house was a wonderful place to spend a ski vacation at Alyeska. The kitchen was very well furnished and thoughtful things like a bluetooth speaker, dual washer/dryer, and boot dryer were included. The house is also the perfect location for apres ski to enjoy the high end hot tub and barrel sauna. The ski resort is any easy 4 minute drive with plenty of parking. A fun twist on skiing, the resort does not open until 10am, so we enjoyed many relaxing mornings with several pots of coffee before heading out. The Girdwood famous Double Musky Inn restaurant(great for steaks and deserts) is an easy 10 minute walk. There is a recreation path on the mtn road, so you could even bike to the resort if you wanted to. Be sure to stock up on groceries in Anchorage before heading to Girdwood as the town is small and does not have a full sized grocery.

Fantastic Alaskan Experience! Our family of four had the BEST time staying at the Eagle’s Nest during our visit to Seward. The house is really wonderful: well-heated complete with heated floors, excellent water pressure and the water heater was cranked up to 11 (just how I like it), a luxurious bath, and lots of games, toys, puzzles, and books for all ages to stay entertained during any downtime. The location is excellent - just a few minutes drive to town and a short distance to dog sledding, delicious food, and incredibly beautiful hikes to a glacier. Plus, we saw a bald eagle outside the bedroom window within minutes of checking in (and multiple times throughout our stay)! My two children (8 and 12 years old) say the Eagle’s Nest is their favorite place we’ve ever stayed. We hope to return soon!

Our crew came up to Alaska to do a cultural survey in the area and they loved staying at this location! Thank you for the great stay!

We had a lovely time at the cabin near Bear Creek- it was comfortable, private, quiet and a nice distance to Seward. We had a ball watching a mama moose with two babies munch down on plants from the porch (and the living room, and the bedroom, they were everywhere haha), and checking out the salmon run on Bear creek one road up. The kitchen was well-stocked, the bed was comfy (and we are picky about that) and the porch was fab (though it was a little too chilly out for us to use it much). Stephanie was very responsive and friendly and left us a welcome treat which was lovely to arrive to! Highly recommend!

This cabin was absolutely incredible. The views are absolutely breathtaking!!! The drive from anchorage to this cabin was breathtaking as well every time you turn your head there is something new to look at. The cabin itself was very cozy and peaceful. We will definitely be staying here again when we return.

We stayed at Julie’s place in Girdwood for 4 nights and it was the best decision we made on our trip to AK. The house was very tidy and fit our large family well. Julie was responsive and friendly and made us feel right at home! The home is very close to many beautiful walking paths and great food (Girdwood Brewing and Jack Sprat were our favorites). Also the views from the patio and hot tub are unmatched!

This place is great. I came from out of town for an appointment in Anchorage, but wanted to stay away from the city. This place is a great deal, and a wonderful way to experience the beauty of Girdwood. Wish I could have stayed longer

Great place to stay for 4 people! The property was easy to find, with convenient self-check-in. It’s within walking distance of restaurants and bars. The place was very clean, with a kitchen area stocked with utensils and a large fridge. There’s paid laundry conveniently located right across the street. I would definitely stay here again.

Randy was very friendly and the place was like home. He was very kind and shared information as much as he can. One of the best hosts I have had.

The indoor space is really nice, open, not rundown at all. It was very peaceful and quiet. The upscale bathroom had a cool shower with a pebble floor and a window! The hot tub was semi-private on the deck, which was nice when groups of kids went by on bikes. I am not a fan of the mattress, pretty firm and maybe memory foam? But I was glad it was king-sized! Had a little snafu with the keycode, but Andrew responded and fixed it instantly. Overall, it was a great stay.

Shirley was very responsive to our questions. Her directions to the house were very good and precise. The home was clean and well cared for. It is a small drive if you want to go out to eat. However, it was quiet and peaceful there with a good grill and a fire pit. It definitely met our needs.

Elyssa is friendly and very responsive. We stayed in the bottom dwelling. There was a welcoming Arctic room with coffee, books, and snacks available. The hosts were outside as we parked and greeted us upon arriving. Our space was clean and clutter free. It was comfortable and quiet. The kitchen was fully equipped. The washer and dryer was a much needed bonus. We also appreciated laundry detergent was provided. The location is close to Exit Glacier making it a great home base for hikers. It is an ideal space for those wanting to enjoy Seward without having to be in the middle of town.

Great location for a weekend stay. Easy access to Anchorage (~45 minutes away), Girdwood Restaurants and Shops (~5 minutes away), and great middle point if you want to hike the Kenai or explore Whittier. Easy check-in with lots of amenities like hot tube, laundry on-site, coffee makers, etc.

Had a great stay at Mark and Letty's; it's nicely situated right between Seward proper and Exit Glacier National Park... close enough to go into town and explore, go back to the cabin to relax a bit, then drive back in for evening activity or dinner out in any of the surround spots. We loved meeting Cabo (the neighbor dog) and we were able to cook a few meals in the cabin (we had to improvise to seat four at the table though! :-) Directions were spot on and hosts are super!

Rose was excellent and very friendly host. She was very helpful with any needs or questions we had. She was quick to reply to any texts we sent. Her cabin was very nice and clean. Small but very well planned out space. BBQ grill in covered area, perfect for rainy days. She gave excellent advice on local restaurants. We definitely plan on using her cabin next time we visit Alaska!

Kayleigh was an absolutely fantastic host—responsive, thoughtful, and truly welcoming. The house was amazing—beautifully maintained with so many thoughtful touches that made the stay extra special. We especially loved the added luxuries like the bidet toilets and towel heaters—such a treat! The location was perfect—peaceful and just a short drive from town, offering the best of both worlds. We had a wonderful stay at Julie’s place. The home was super clean, cosy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. It’s well-equipped with all the essentials, which made it easy to settle in and feel at home right away. The big parking area at the front of the cabin is a great plus too! The neighbourhood is quiet, peaceful, and felt very safe — perfect for relaxing and getting a good night's sleep. It’s also conveniently located, just a short drive or easy trip into town, so getting groceries, eating out, or exploring the area was no problem. Julie was great to communicate with — very friendly, fast to respond, and helpful throughout my stay. Everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out. Overall, a lovely place in a great location. I’d happily stay again and highly recommend it to others looking for a peaceful and comfortable getaway.

The stay was great, I enjoyed making a fire in the outdoor fire pit with wood & lighters supplied. Just bring your own marshmallows 🙂 There was a couple of resident rabbits that my daughter enjoyed seeing also. Top value for what our family needed that was central to everything we wanted to see & do in the area

Great location and SUPER clean. We stayed in the Elderberry Cabin on the property, the bed is very comfortable and everything about the room shows attention to detail. It is near Seward so easy access to town and it is on the road to Exit Glacier/Kenai Fords National Park. If ever back in the area we would not hesitate to stay. Highly recommend.
