Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Les Mathes

Carmen is a great host, very responsive, helpful and friendly. Her place is fab, in a great location by the lagoon. As two families we enjoyed the privacy of the ensuite room with separate entrance. Having another ensuite and separate bathroom worked well for us. The main space with a little kitchen area at the back was well used too, opening out onto the terraces with ever changing views of the sea and amazing sunsets. The only issue, out of our host's control, was the bugs - mosquitoes weren't repelled by our repellent or deterred by long clothes, and the gnats and wasps were also persistent during the sunny weather. La Plage restaurant, two doors along, is welcoming for drinks and great seafood. There is an obstacle course and exercise route just along the prom for the kids as well as a baguette machine and another restaurant which rarely seemed to be open! Lidl, E Leclerc and Intermarche are within 10 mins drive. La Rochelle and Cognac within 1 hour. We would happily return.

Very well arranged space with the necessary accessories to be like at home. Quiet & peaceful place. Sébastien is very responsive and gives good advice for activities. The only small negative point (which would not be for everyone); at sunrise, a lot of light from the front door, maybe a small thing to improve otherwise it's great. I recommend it and if we come back to the area, we will not fail to come back ☺️

Very nice stay at this family home. Access to the beach is ideal with children, no need to take the car. Everything is designed to host a family. Pleasant sea view in the living rooms. Very easy communication, was able to meet our needs. We'll be happy to go back!

We had a pleasant stay at this house. The courtyard is very nice especially for us who came with our two grandsons. Nothing was missing, the sun was there too!! We were hosted very well by a charming lady, very kind and smiling Liliane. She was very attentive, especially for check-in and check-out times. This lady did everything she could to be nice to us! Many thanks to our hosts! We will come back for sure!!

From booking our short notice stay, we had Benadettes full attention. Her communications were warm and welcoming. Her home is beautiful, tastefully furnished / decorated and comfortable. She welcomed our 2 dogs without any hesitation and told us where we could take them for walks. We will visit again and have already passed on the details to friends. Thank you Bernadette for sharing your house with us. We loved it.

We had a lovely stay at Elodie's! The house was perfectly as described, clean, well-equipped and ideally located to explore the area. Elodie was extremely welcoming, available and responded quickly to any questions we had.

We had a pleasant stay in a very nice and very quiet apartment. We did not have the opportunity to meet Sandra, however a bottle of wine and a package of cakes were waiting for us on the table when we arrived. Saint Palais sur mer is a very pretty seaside town and the wild coast is beautiful.

Very pleasant stay at Lucie's. Royan and its various districts are very easily accessible on foot. Chay Beach is less than a five-minute walk away. Lucie offers tea, coffee and kitchen necessities, the studio is very well arranged and stays cool in the heatwave. The secure parking space for the car is very appreciable. At Lucie's, an excellent place to stay in Royan!

Jacques is a pleasant, serious and available host. The accommodation is clean and organized. I recommend it.

This is the second time I've come to Valerie's place and it's always a pleasure to stay there. I came to a horse show at the Royan equestrian center. The accommodation is very well located: 8 min from the competition. I think that being able to arrive independently in the accommodation is a great advantage, especially when you don't know your arrival time. The parking space is right at the entrance of the accommodation, which is very convenient. The sofa bed where we sleep is very good. I slept very well there. The kitchen and bathroom were spotless! It has everything you need to spend a few quiet days. I will come back without hesitation!:)

Great Host, large and bright apartment with a very nice decor and many facilities. View from the window of the pretty building of the Marché des Marennes with its Baltard-style architecture and the three restaurants less than a minute away. 10 min by bike to the beach (thanks for the bike:)). The large car park at Place Carnot is 100m away. Special mention for the layout of the apartment (there must be about twenty light points and sockets and the kitchen is used with much more than the essentials). Thank you for everything, we'll be back with pleasure.

Absolutely perfect stay at Michel and Régine's, the location of the accommodation is ideal next to the market, shops and beautiful walks along the channel and oyster parks: everything can be done on foot. La Tremblade has retained the authentic character of the Charentes, and you can quickly access the magnificent beaches of the Côte Sauvage or the island of Oléron. The accommodation is very nice, quiet, with private parking and just the right amount of garden. It is particularly well-equipped, there is absolutely nothing missing to feel at home. Michel and Régine are very attentive hosts, nothing was missing on our arrival for our breakfasts, and even much more! The arrival and departure procedures are extremely simple and leave an ideal latitude. I highly recommend this rental and keep it in my address book!

Nothing to say about the accommodation and the relationship with Adeline. Very nice little house, which has everything you need, the place is quiet. Adeline puts her guests at ease by trying to plan everything in advance (especially to prepare a bed for a child) and is responsive. We recommend!

We had a most pleasant stay in Marielle and Jean Claude's very well located apartment. We were able to enjoy their superb terrace. The residence is very well maintained and very quiet. Their advice for visiting the region was very helpful. A big thank you to both of you for the little treats too. We highly recommend it.

We were delighted with our stay. The apartment matches the photos point by point. The kitchen is small but very functional with all the utensils, nothing is missing.
