The Logis de Saint Germain

A charming Logis de chasse (hunting lodge) dating from 1666, on the edge of the village of Saint German de Montbron, nestling in the beautiful Charente countryside. We have two very spacious bedrooms, a large salon, kitchen and bathroom. All is fully modernised. Access to the garden for outdoor dining, barbecue, all in a very pretty garden. Use of the owners above ground pool and 2 acres of garden. We also have a second gite, for two people, listed on Airbnb, making it ideal for larger groups.

Hidden away at the end of a quiet country lane in southern Charente, it is situated along the lower southern boundary of Les Chauvins, with its own entrance and private courtyards to front and back. A large pool nestles within the stone walls of a former barn and the grounds offer ample places to play, relax and enjoy the views.

Converted from the old stone farmhouse, bread oven & piggery, great care has been taken in retaining old beams, cobbled floors & original features, which, combined with the modern facilities of a walk-in shower room, fully equipped kitchen, outside under cover dining, secluded private patio, use of the nearby luxury pool & a pellet burner for colder months, offers couples the ideal romantic Corrèzian retreat at any time of the year.

Dordogne sleeps 10 with pool

Very large house with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Our beautiful home is set in 2 acres of garden in the picturesque Dordogne, in the Perigord Vert region of France. The house was built in 2009 and is 300 sq meters. There is a full-size Pool table, air hockey table and table tennis table indoors and a separate table tennis table outside. The home has everything you need, from a bread maker to a food processor. There are terraces back and front of the house, with an outdoor table to seat 10

The building is over 200 years old and has been completely refurbished in 2024. With exposed stone walls and original fireplaces, lit by vintage French chandeliers and tasteful wall lights, the gite is both cosy and comfortable. During your stay you will have exclusive use of the heated swimming pool and a large Moroccan style barn.

In the heart of stunning medieval village, Quiet location but short walk to the butcher, restaurant and tabac/bar. 5 mins drive to Montignac and the Lascaux caves and beautiful villages of thé Dordogne valley. A perfect retreat amongst the wildlife, ideally located midway between Limoges and Angoulême and close to the Leisure Lakes of The Charente/Haute-Vienne. Les Salles-Lavauguyon with a friendly welcoming bar ran by locals is only a few minutes walk away. The châteaux of La Rochefoucauld, Rochechouart and Montbron are just a short drive away.
