Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Mission Beach, San Diego

We enjoyed our time at Bayside Breeze. The house is in a good location. It’s very clean and bright. The space is comfortable, and relaxing . The bay is very close. We watched fireworks each night there and the beach is just across the main road.

The hosts were very accomodating and communicative as well as the place exceeded our expectations. It is beautiful, well kept, and has everything you’ll need and more. The beach and plenty of restaurants and corner stores were within walking distance. The sleeping arrangements were super comfy and clean. Snacks, water, coffee, toiletries, laundry, and beach supplies for the family were provided and made us feel taken care of. We especially enjoyed sitting by the fire at night. 10/10 recommend! My family and I are looking forward to making it an annual stay.

We loved staying here! It is very close to Mission Bay, Mission Beach, and Mission Point. We were able to easily walk anywhere we wanted to go. Very comfy cozy house, great selection of pots and pans. The bed is extremely comfortable! The garage space easily fit our Honda Pilot with room to exit on both sides. We would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay. We were close to the beach and to the bay. So many restaurants were within walking distance. The house was super cute and cozy. They had everything we needed for our stay. They also had plenty of items for the beach (umbrellas, coolers, chairs, toys, etc). The hosts were quick to respond to our questions. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

A great stay for a family vacation of all ages. With two small children and the grandparents, the layout of the home was so needed with one master on the first level, and 2 bedrooms upstairs so we could spread out a bit. The house was spotless and organized. For being so convienent, it was also quiet and comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Obviously, we stayed here for the ocean view and roof top terrace which did not disappoint. It is within walking distance to fun activities and places to eat. It is also close enough to some great restaurants within 2-3 miles (we used Lyft which averaged about $6-10 each way). The place was clean and the beds were comfortable. There was ample space for 3 adults and a teenager. There were plenty of things to do with a nice mix of peace (from the absolutely wonderful roof top terrace) and entertainment (groups on the boardwalk, Belmont Park, SeaWorld, and the Zoo). Any questions we had, Erin or Christina were quick to respond. We had an issue with hooking up the AC unit due to a piece missing that was apparently being cleaned. Within 1 hour Erin arrived with a new piece and hooked it right up for us. Amazing service! If we found ourselves in SD again, we'd definitely stay here and recommend for others!

My wife and I stayed here for our annual Memorial Day vacation with our young toddler and little dog. It was an amazing trip. The location was top notch. The place was clean and very comfortable for our family. The only thing that was a bit unfortunate is we could hear the neighbors walking around upstairs in the penthouse. It kept us up at night a little bit but we put on some white noise to drowned it out and it was OK. Other than that, amazing all around.

Jasmines place is a gem! In a very peaceful area, beautiful view to walk out to every morning. The outside deck was a huge plus, very cozy. She not only gave us good food recommendations but was very flexible with our check out time. Would recommend to anyone!

This is my second time staying at this location, it’s absolutely my favorite! Right across from Pacific Beach and in walking distance from lots of great restaurants and cafes. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a beachfront experience. The area feels safe and clean, you can see San Diego City takes care of this beach daily. As for the Air BnB itself: very clean, bathroom is spotless & kitchen is stocked with cooking utensils. It had everything we needed! Can’t wait to stay again sometime!

This place was an absolute gem. Waking up to the sound of the waves and being able to walk everywhere made our stay so relaxing. It's the kind of spot where the beach feels like your backyard and adventure is always just around the corner. Falling asleep to the ocean breeze was pure magic. All in all, a fantastic escape — we’d recommend it in a heartbeat.

Very nice apartment. Convenient location. The apartment had everything you need for a comfortable stay. There were also many extras for the beach such as chairs, towels, umbrellas. The stay was comfortable. I recommend.

Kai is definitely a superhost. He went above and beyond to help my brother and I feel welcome in the neighborhood; he gave us many suggestions of activities as well as restaurants nearby. The bikes provided were great as we went on a nice bike ride along the beach and to some of the suggested local hotspots. The apartment was quiet but still a quick Uber ride to downtown and our other events. Kai was always willing to respond if I had any questions. Kai also worked with me as we needed a late check out to make it to a baseball game and store our luggage still before our flight. I definitely love this location and will be returning and recommending to others!

Tracy & Bob are wonderful hosts and have created a gem for visitors! It may not be for everyone, but the ambiance was perfect for us: the landscaping, wall water fountain, our own outside dining area, and fire pit made us feel right at home - and allowed us to be outside during the chilly nights! Even better, were the amenities offered: full use of the laundry and laundry supplies; we prefer our own product, but the bathroom was Stocked as was the kitchen; plenty of linens; plenty of “toys”: bikes (with baskets!), beach chairs, coolers, beach towels - all to enhance our short visit so with more, we could do more…just like we did when we lived in the area :D - Anyone would be fortunate to have their lodging request for this property accepted!

The location is incredible — you truly can’t beat the proximity to the beach, dog beach, and a wide variety of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops all within walking distance. The unit itself was the perfect space for a quick weekend getaway and had all the amenities we needed. We didn’t use the community space or hot tub, but they looked clean and well-maintained. One heads-up: if you're parking a mid-size or larger vehicle in the garage, be prepared for a very tight fit. The garage is located around the corner in an alley, and some cars turn in blindly, which could be a bit risky — so just use extra caution. Overall, it was an amazing stay and we’d definitely book again!

This was our second stay at this apartment, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. We love being so close to the beach and within easy walking distance of Ocean Beach. For week-long visits, having a well-equipped kitchen makes it easy to cook a few meals at home. The bed is incredibly comfortable, and having access to a washer and dryer is a huge plus. We will stay here again on our next trip to San Diego.

This place was perfect for our family of four. The kids loved the pull out couch and was quiet comfortable. The condo is in such a great area minutes away from the beach a short drive to sea world and the zoo. It was so convenient with a toddler. Ashwini was a great host, communication was great! We definitely will be back !

This place was absolutely amazing. Every detail and decoration was perfect, the views were surreal, located ideally in the middle of pacific beach. Able to walk to coffee every morning and enjoy ocean views from the comfort the living room. Host was very responsive and gave detailed instructions. Really couldn’t ask for anything more from an AirBnB!
