Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Mississippi River

Had a great stay at Turkey Holler- yes we saw some Turkeys. Lots of official hiking nearby but kids and I also enjoyed hiking property. Fold out sofa bed worked well for my son and kids liked the provisions included too. We cooked hot dogs and smores with fire starting help from the owner too. (It was a wet day).

Loved this place! Great location especially if you are attending events at the Convention center a ten minute walk. Nice neighborhood too with coffee shop, bars and excellent restaurants. Sweet parks with ancient live oak trees and original homes in all of their glory.

This was a great bungalo. Just as descried, cozy with antique decor. The hot tub was a big hit for us. We ran the spartan race and it i=was just what we needed after a long day of exercise.

Gleydys was the best host ever! She made us feel so welcome in her home and provided the most delicious breakfast which was a bonus! She shared wonderful history with us and offered great suggestions for surrounding activities and sights. We fel so much love from her and I will definitely return to stay with her again. She's the Best!!!

This home was everything you can ask for and more. All the amenities, including stuff you didnt know you would need were readily available for use. beautiful open and spacious back yard. Plenty of parking. Very clean and set up perfectly for adequate use of the space. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. If in the area again, will 100% stay in this exact home again!

As an avid airbnb user, I must admit that this is the most luxurious place I've stayed... and without an ounce pretentiousness. Hosts Gary and Randy couldn't have been more welcoming or accommodating. Gary even reached out after the end of a long day to offer conversation, but sadly, I had to decline due to said long day. I look forward to staying in this lil oasis again, and to visit more. These guys are truly lovely humans and offer the kind of comfort a solo traveler appreciates.

A great little spot with the park, water and bike path directly across the street. With the use of the bikes included, we were able to get anywhere we needed within 15 min tops. Peter was super pleasant upon arrival and helped make sure we had everything we needed. Few minor things to note (didn’t bother us but might to others). You don’t have control over the AC if that’s important to you (again, we had no issues and asked the hosts to turn it on and they did immediately). You are also in the basement of the house and can hear a decent amount of noises. Only sharing if you are sensitive to some noise during the daytime, it might not be an ideal fit for you. Come night time it was quiet and we slept great.

Feels like home away from home! Miss E brought us tea sandwiches, drinks, and homemade cake, as she knew we were entertaining our family friends visiting from abroad. There were even fresh flowers on the table to greet us when we arrived. When we walked it, it instantly felt like home. Absolutely everything in the house is thoughtfully arranged and beautiful. LOTS of inviting common areas, which is a first in our AirBnB travels and much appreciated, as we spent a lot of time at home on our trip. A deep wrap-around porch overlooking sugar cane fields and flower gardens is refreshing even in the heat of summer. Lots of religious art, which we love - stories and history everywhere! Even the house itself is a work of art, having been lovingly rebuilt by our host and her friends and family years ago. The home is so full of life and love that it’s hard to believe that some incredibly accomplished homemaker doesn’t live there full time, lovingly attending to every detail.

Brandon and Sam’s Place was perfect for us it was close to the city. It was easy to take Ubers. we loved walking down the street to Whole Foods. There was also a beautiful Catholic cathedral with mosaics that we went to go explore around the corner Their place was so homey it felt like we were staying with family!! It was very peaceful and quiet. The bed was so comfortable and cozy! I honestly can’t wait to come back. Brandon and Sam are very generous. We enjoyed a bagel one morning!

This is my second time staying at Janet’s Inn. She is a wonderful hostess and helps you feel right at home. The Greek Spa was a luxurious room to stay in with comfortable beds, a tea kettle, massage chair, and more! We also loved walking around the beautiful gardens outside.

We loved our stay here. The house was well put together and homey. We enjoyed the extra touches, like toothbrushes, makeup removers, and wonderful extra snacks for the kiddos. (Especially after the hot zoo all day). There was also a fantastic “guidebook” put together by the hosts, with local restaurant menus!! The physical location was in an old district, full of old historic homes and buildings. Close to the Zoo, aquarium, and the Budweiser Museum. And our kids enjoyed running around in the back yard for the night. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful tiny home along the pond , Deborah had everything you needed for the day/night . She was very helpful with any questions we had . Would definitely recommend 10/10 .

Our stay at the Logan mansion was brief but one we’ll always remember. The space and the way it’s been decorated is absolutely unique, and we both were constantly charmed by all the little touches. It was also very much unlike any Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. I’ll happily take the coffee service with a rich, deep dark roast over your standard k-cup situation any day, and the homemade breakfasts each morning were truly delightful (and so filling with quality ingredients)! I highly recommend staying at the Logan Mansion. Especially if you’re open to a different experience than you standard Airbnb.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Timber Baron Inn! We are typically city travelers, but this quiet, beautiful town was just what we needed and the Inn could not have been more perfect!

Mark was awesome. He greeted us at the door and was the conssumate host! View from the balcony was exquisite, and the room was amazing. It was a great staycation!

My friends and I really enjoyed our time at the Great House. We made a point to spend time in every room as each room offered a different but classic feel. I have to say, the house really enhanced our trip. I highly recommend staying there. The hosts also provided us with everything we needed from a charcuterie try to a nice simple breakfast. Great experience all around.

One of my favorite things about using Airbnb instead of staying at a hotel is that you really get to immerse yourself in the vibe of the area! This space is the ultimate for that! It is a true cozy cottage right on the intercoastal waterway… The deck is phenomenal and the surroundings are absolutely amazing! They’ve done a beautiful remodel and everything is cozy and wonderful inside! Cleary, it’s not a Ritz Carlton (and I wouldn’t WANT it to be!) so probably really important to make sure you are excited to stay in exactly what they have beautifully described! It’s just wonderful through and through, and I’m so grateful that I stayed there and will absolutely be back! Fantastic communication and flexibility and kindness from the owners as well! I literally cannot say enough about the whole experience from start to finish :-)

We had a WONDERFUL time getting out of the city. Cheryl and Randy hosted myself and a gaggle of girls, one of whom was celebrating a 16th birthday. It was perfection. They loved the pool, the baby goats, the chicken named Tom Cruise, the sunset, the school bell, the bunk room, and the s'mores. Speaking of...because it rained for a bit and the wood was too wet to start a fire, Randy brought over an indoor s'mores kit. What a lovely trip. Cannot say enough nice things about it...while the gals entertained themselves (they were so busy they didn't even make it to hike or the small chapel), I enjoyed the porch and got some much needed no-Wifi work done..the kind that actually requires no digital distractions. Also had the company of two farm dogs. Loved it. Five stars!!

This place had it all!! Ron and Steven were so accommodating and made themselves available for anything I needed. Hot tub was private, hot and clean. Carriage house is secluded and a 12/10. They even left delicious Blueberry muffins in the kitchen area for our enjoyment. Super super clean, that was nice! They also had invited us to write postcards, with the Carriage House letterhead, so we could send to our loved ones.... they put postage on the envelope and mailed them as well. Just the best of three best at The Carriage House! I cannot wait to come back in the Spring/Summer to hit Kansas Crossing Casino (4 mi away) and enjoy their beautiful patio when all plants are outside and thriving weather is warm. You would be missing out to not book this place, for real. Just a wonderful getaway, thanks guys ❤️❤️😎

We found this place making plans to tour the Safari museum, which was really awesome. The space was really clean, cozy, open, and convenient. We had no complaints!

Wow!! This place was absolutely wonderful. My boyfriend and I stayed for 1 evening because we had a wedding to attend, and I so wish we could’ve stayed more nights! Jayne was very responsive and kind, the place was beautiful with little touches to make it a very cozy environment. I wish I could gatekeep this place…I loved it that much! (: The lights in the room make it that more inviting, 12/10 recommend staying in this Airbnb!!
