The place was exactly as described. However, this also means that there is no basic equipment in the kitchen in contrast to normal Airbnbs.

The place is very spacious, perfect for a large group. It is almost like renting a small motel with 8 bedrooms, each with private bathroom. Professional kitchen with fast heating oven and quick dish washing machine helps also preparing food for large group of people. The host is very friendly and responsive. Highly recommend this place.

We were with three adults for five days in this beautiful, old cottage. The location is in the village at the foot of the church. Occasional ringing of the bells did not bother us. The accommodation can be reached quickly from the A48 motorway and the connection to Mayen or to many excursion destinations on the Rhine and Moselle is also good. The house is beautifully restored and nicely furnished. Everything you need is available and it was consistently very clean. Unfortunately, as in most small towns, there are no shopping facilities in the immediate vicinity. With appropriate planning, however, this is not a problem. The price/performance ratio is absolutely OK and we would book again at any time.

We had a perfect family break in Sauerland. The accommodation, as a former inn, has character and a lot to offer: a large garden with many tables, chairs, loungers, a grill and a boules court, tastefully furnished rooms with small but nice bathrooms (very pleasant!). Also in the kitchen we had everything we needed - including a dishwasher that is ready after two minutes:). The landlords are reserved, friendly and helpful. All in all, we enjoyed our stay very much and can only recommend the house.

Very friendly host! Beautiful and spacious house. We would definitely recommend it and would love to come back with the large group. Everything is child- and dog-friendly, modern and bright. The only thing that could have been better would have been if our need for rooms had been asked in advance (we were guests in a very variable constellation: parents with up to three children, but also individuals). We thought that the booking amount would include ALL bedrooms. However, we could have easily booked additional rooms - spontaneously and on site. Thank you for the stay, dear Paul

We celebrated a round birthday with 20 people. The place was ideal for that. It has everything you need for the accommodation and meals of a larger group. The rooms are good and everything works in the kitchen. The large common area is perfect for shared food and long game nights. The area offers a number of activities for young and old and in the nearby Winterberg you will find plenty of shops, restaurants and supermarkets. We enjoyed the stay and can recommend the accommodation.

My friends and I really had a perfect weekend. Beautiful location overlooking beautiful and free land. Wonderfully quiet and quiet. The house has everything and more you can expect from a home and more! Kitchen fully stocked with everything including herbs, liqueur, serving boards, etc. All bathrooms provided with shampoo, body wash, body lotion, towels, washcloths. In addition, helpful instructions with how the house works. Just mentioning positive stuff. The photos don't do justice to how beautiful this airbnb was. If I could give over 10/10, I would have done it.

Located on the edge of the forest, with a large lounge with a fireplace and views of ponds, meadows and forest, the Forest Lodge was an ideal place for us - 5 people with a dog - an ideal place for a reunion over the turn of the year. A nice place for a few days in quiet surroundings that invites you to walks, chats by the fireplace, reading at one of the large windows, cooking and eating together. Sincere thanks for the well thought out hospitality!

We felt very comfortable in the forest house. The house has a lot of charm and offers plenty of space, which should also be very suitable for large groups.

We are very satisfied. The house looks as described, it was all sparkling clean and spacious enough for 11 people. We will be happy to come back.

Beautiful house for an unforgettable weekend away with our friend group. It was our own private castle! Large rooms, comfortable beds, and kitchen and bathrooms were large, clean and well equipped. We were greeted very friendly by the house’s caretaker and contact during and after our stay was very pleasant and friendly. Two small remarks: some of the rooms didn’t have curtains or blinds to block out daylight, and in some rooms the light switches were not working properly or confusing to use. But those are just minor issues because we had an amazing time in the villa. Thank you!

What a place to stay. We stayed here with some friends and had a fantastic time. Being onsite of a brewery with a great restaurant was fantastic! Would happily recommend to family and friends and anyone reading this review.

There were six of us there for an extended weekend. Overall, we felt comfortable. Communication with Richard was very pleasant, he always responded within a very short time. The house was as described, modern, clean and very cozy with the large terrace and fireplace. The sauna is an infrared sauna and heats to max. 60 degrees; if you have adjusted to the Finnish sauna, you will be a little disappointed. The kitchen is basic, but there is a lack of sharp knives. The surroundings are quiet and beautiful, the baker can be easily reached on foot. The only downside: unfortunately, the bathroom smelled strongly of moisture.

Beautiful house with many amenities. It's also nice that previous residents leave things so that you can already run a wash or make coffee the first day. The village of Silbach is also very beautiful and has a nice shop and playground for the kids. Plenty to do in the area and with that it makes this vacation a 10!
