Family-friendly holiday rentals in Modena

This is a very spacious flat, which is beautifully furnished and has a lovely outside seating area. It is walkable distance to the old town and has a number of good cafes close by for breakfast. Plenty of room for everyone and the kitchen was very well equipped. Communication with the hosts was excellent and they were quick to respond. Our group was a couple in their 60s and 2 in their 70s. We could not have walked from the station but Carolina described where it was best to catch a taxi and the whole process was very easy. Carolina then ordered us a taxi for our return to the airport, which worked very well. It was a great stay and I would thoroughly recommend this flat!

Mauro’s apartment was very clean and tidy. We felt as if we were home. He was very friendly and supportive. I’d like to stay in his aparment whenever I come to Bologna

We spent two nights there, everything was great! The hot tub overlooking the mountains is a good plus and if you go there in summer you can enjoy the fruits that grow on site. There is also a couple of neighbors, who are absolutely adorable and with whom everything went well.

Words cannot explain how beautiful this home is! From the warm fireplace to the beautiful furnishings and feel of the home, we loved EVERYTHING about it. Tiziano was so helpful with recommendations and we can’t wait to come visit again and share a bottle of wine with him next time. 10/10 would recommend this Airbnb for anyone looking for a small town home with plenty of small local places to eat/drink.

The house was impeccable, as described in the photos. Very clean and organized and quite wide. The space is very comfortable, the kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need. It is a good location for those who think about going to the F1 of Imola because it is very well located in front of the train station and it is in a quiet area. among other attractions in the area. We had some unforeseen external events to the house, which the Host helped us and helped us resolve quickly. Very responsive and communicative. We are very pleased!

Fantastic spacious apartment in the heart of Bologna! It was our first visit to this part of Italy and we loved it. The apartment is in a great location. There is a local convenience store a few minutes away where you can get all of your essentials. Nicoletta was a great host, very responsive to my messages and made sure check in smooth and we were happy with everything. There is a wonderful restaurant right next door to the apartment which was brilliant and highly recommended, called Sette Tavoli.

Amazing location literally steps from the train station and 10-15 min walk through the beautiful Bologna portici to all the main attractions and restaurants. Amazing stay in amazing city!

Waking up in the morning in complete relaxation, away from the daily chaos, immersed in nature was an indescribable experience!The accommodation is comfortable and equipped with all the comforts! We had a wonderful stay at Marias Apartment! It is located in The middle of The City, you can go everywhere by foot. We Just loved The Building and The Apartment. It is quiet, The bed is very comfortable and we had The best Time! The House is very safe. And Maria is Just lovely! Thank you so much!

It was clear that Monica had put a lot of effort into making our stay as comfortable as possible which was much appreciated We unfortunately only had one night in the apartment but it was perfect for us and well connected for getting into the centre Thank you !

We enjoyed our stay in this well-equipped, quiet and clean studio apartment. It's in an excellent location. walking distance to Bologna's centre, and close to some good cafés, restaurants, and local supermarkets. Communications with our hosts was excellent.

Beautiful rustic apartments in the hills, clean, well equipped and comfortable. There was a cake and jams and a bottle of local wine upon arrival, and a comfortable bed. Lovely local restaurant, and stunning views and walks. Half an hour into Bologna Highly recommend

Million dollar view. Marco and Laura are the most wonderful hosts and we would happily return to this lovely property. They went out of their way to accommodate us and our guests. The property was exactly what we needed: being two, two bedroom houses, side-by-side; we had privacy, as did our guests. The property is well equipped and we enjoyed using the fire bbq, the pool, playing pool in the evenings. Cooking was delightful, using an extensive array of herbs and vegetation from the garden, planted by Marco and Laura. Our hosts have filled cupboards with towels for the house and for use at the pool and there is a washing machine in each property and a clothes line for drying. The wifi is good. Warm evenings sat at the al fresco patio table, with an exceptional view of snowy mountains and a mountain rock that inspired Dante’s Inferno, is very special. Really nice place! Incredibly beautiful surroundings and nice and clean accommodation. Lovely private terrace. The pool was super nice and clean, and we had it all to ourselves. Valter is very friendly and he was flexible both regarding arrival and departure. Although Valter doesn't speak English, communication works fine with Google Translate. Although Valter and his wife live in the same building, you don't hear much from them, so you feel like you have the place all to yourself. A very small downside; The bed on the 1st floor was a very hard. And from the description, you might think that there is aircondition in both bedrooms. However, I had already read in another review that there is only aircon in one of the bedrooms and a fan in the other. We highly recommend the place and would live to visit again some day.

We had the most amazing time at Benedetta’s place. It really is a little paradise in the Italian countryside. The swimming pool is lovely, there is a lovely outside area where we ate dinner every night and the house was comfortable (if a little warm). I would advise people that there are lots of mosquitoes, obviously this is the case everywhere in Italy and has nothing to do with the property but make sure you bring lots of spray. I would also say regarding the reviews talking about lack of privacy- for the most part we had no issues with this. There was another family staying in the other property but they were friendly and didn’t bother us. There was one night where another guest arrived and was a little bit intrusive- we weren’t clear whether he was staying or whether he was just a friend who had come to use the pool- but Benedetta messaged us and apologised for this. It is a beautiful space and we were so relaxed and happy to be there. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

A lovely spacious house, elegantly and stylishly furnished (AB&B photos don't really do it justice). Beautiful tranquil location - apart from the Apennine wolves we heard howling one night (a definite bonus in our book). Lovely walks from the house along the river Dolo gorge, and especially recommend the Golfarone waterfall about 25 mins drive away. A 15-minute scramble upriver brings you to a beautiful pool for swimming under the waterfall. Also lovely local neighbours, who offered us homemade wine and jam. Good local restaurants. Alessandro was extremely helpful and friendly.

Fantastic stay in Pizzicalaluna! We spent two days in this magical place with our 7-month-old baby before returning to Milan. Giulia, Elisabetta and all the staff make us feel truly at home and filled with attention and cuddles. The mini apartment ‘Flore d 'angelo’ is equipped with everything you need and the ideal pool to cool off. Good breakfast and it is highly recommended to book a lunch or dinner, the organic products from their garden are to be tasted! Thanks again for the great experience.

Vittorio and Rosa Maria were the perfect hosts and couldn’t do enough for us. Vittorio provided great recommendations for restaurants and places to visit including a winery and cheese making factory. Also we had a fantastic meal cooked by Rosa Maria. It is a good base to visit other cities such as Modena and Parma (and others) by road or by train. The house was spacious, well equipped and felt like more like a family home with books, comfortable sofas a lovely sitting room and bedrooms. We very much enjoyed our stay and had a great holiday. The perfect place for a holiday with family or friends with glorious views over a lush valley in the hills above Modena. Our historic casa was renovated to the highest standard with generous bedrooms, three fabulous bathrooms , a well functioning kitchen, dining and sitting area. We enjoyed the pristine pool, BBQing and dining outside under, and using the wood fired pizza oven. The plumbing, power and internet did not miss a beat! Our hosts were generous and welcoming, sharing some of their home made and local produce, and encouraged us to forage herbs and fruit [just ripening figs, wild arugula] from the beautiful garden. Their recommendations about the local area were spot on. We recommend using it as a base for visiting the motor museums and factories, for enjoying the wonderful food traditions of the area and to relax in a most beautiful environment. The visit to La Noce to learn from Georgio about and taste Balsamico di Modena is not to be missed! A wonderful stay!!!
