Barn accommodation in North Yorkshire

We had a great stay – the house was lovely and the hosts were incredibly welcoming. They kindly offered us a later checkout, which gave us a more relaxed morning. The location was ideal for visiting York, with the park and ride nearby making everything super convenient. Thank you for having us (and our energetic kids!) – much appreciated

We had a lovely stay at the cottage: everything was clean, comfortable and good quality. It’s in a super peaceful location, just birdsong and the occasional baa of the sheep neighbours! It’s also in a great location for exploring the area, just 30 mins from the coast and there are lots of beautiful villages on the moor. Highly recommended by us!

What a wonderful place to stay! A beautiful place in a gorgeous location. The barn has everything I think you could ever want and the views are stunning. Lots of info of things to do in the area and Wayne was great making suggestions when we chatted too. Highly recommend a drive to Ripponden for dinner at The Old Bridge Inn - that was fab! Thanks again Wayne for a brilliant stay - we will be back I'm sure!

Wir hatten tolle 13 Tage bei Pauline und Graham. Die Beiden sind superfreundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Man kann sich jederzeit an sie wenden. Bei der Ankunft wurden wir sehr herzlich begrüßt und nach dem Urlaub ganz lieb verabschiedet. Das Häuschen ist liebevoll eingerichtet, war total sauber und in dem Bett hab ich besser geschlafen, als zuhause! Auch das Willkommenspaket war so reichhaltig ( Saft, Butter, Brot, Marmeladen, Kaffee etc.), wie wir es noch nie erlebt haben. Ein gedeckter Tisch mit Victoria Sponge und ein Rosenstrauß haben uns erwartet. In der Umgebung kann man sehr viel unternehmen. Allein York hat soviel zu bieten, daß wir es nicht alles geschafft haben. Pauline und Graham sind sehr tierlieb, umsorgen alle Vögel, Eulen etc. und pflegen begeistert ihren Garten. Vielen herzlichen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt!!!

We loved The Cow Shed. Just off the A1 so really convenient for our trip to Bramham. Although the A1 was very near We couldn't hear the traffic when inside the house. We had two large dogs who were able to stretch out and there was a track to walk them down safely for exercise. There was everything we needed in terms of accommodation and it had tasteful decor and was nice and clean.

What a beautiful place to stay, I wish we’d booked more than one night, we will definitely back, the little touches were lovely aswell, milk and Prosecco in the fridge and ice in the freezer, it was perfect. Thank you

An absolutely lovely place and not far from anywhere like Whitby bay Robin hoods bay were all within easy reach. Beautiful surroundings and a lovely restaurant down the road called the Grainary also lovely restaurant called the plough in Scalby which is a short drive away. The owners were so welcoming and so attentive. Very dog friendly. I would highly recommend this place.

Really enjoyed the peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings. The stables are great for time away from it all. Very well looked after. Great to have have the outdoor space too.

Idyllic four nights in The Shed. Nicola has the property resourced brilliantly and it was easy to feel at home with all the practical information she provided. The location is tranquil-days were spent enjoying the enclosed garden. The property is a nearby drive to a lovely village and market towns or you can venture further to Whitby or Scarborough. Thoroughly enjoyed our temporary home.

Beautiful place and outstanding scenery. Hosts very responsive and friendly. Everything was perfect and greatly exceeded our expectations. Will definitely be visiting again and I highly recommend this to anyone wanting the perfect break. Our dog loved it and the enclosed garden was perfect and large.

The barn was absolutely beautiful. The welcome package was a lovely touch and very thoughtful. Definitely worth the price wish we booked 2 nights! Will definitely be back.

We had an absolutely amazing time at the manor farm cottage. What made our stay even more enjoyable was how prepared and informative they were in the guest guide book. We found this extremely helpful when trying to book taxis. Note to anyone planning a visit who is planning to use public transport to call malton taxis in good time instead of ‘Uber’ we were let down a few times by ‘Uber’ and it’s just that little too far out for many cars to be about. We went to malton ‘pizza on the square’ for tea one night which I would highly recommend and the ‘Rydale vineyard’ for a wine tasting experience which was fantastic and only a 7min taxi journey away. Perfect location great cottage and the amount of supplies that were provided too was another lovely touch. We diddnt have to worry about bringing tin foil and cling film, dishwasher tablets etc just small items which made the stay that extra bit more enjoyable. We managed t figure out how the appliances worked easily nd enjoyed a meal in aswel

We needed somewhere to stay within 5 miles of Bingley to visit family. Curlew cottage was just right and a cosy retreat. Really comfortable night's sleep. Louise is a helpful host especially when our arrival was delayed due to M1/62 roadworks! On our wishlist for future trips! Thank you

A lovely, peaceful, secluded cottage. We really enjoyed our stay, we wanted a quiet get away and that is exactly what we got. We enjoyed visiting Brimham rocks and had a walk around Ripon, plenty of places to visit that were only a short drive away. Could not recommend this place enough.

Caroline’s cottage is beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable and lovely and peaceful as it is set back from the main road. Caroline kindly let us check in early which was perfect as it was the only nice day we had in the north and so were able to go out and enjoy the Moors. The surrounding area is beautiful and there are lots of extremely nice places to visit and great dining opportunities! As all the other visitors say, it is a fabulous place to stay and we would love to return if we are back in the area ! Thank you again Caroline !

Hi Cath Thank you for a lovely stay in your gorgeous barn. It was perfect for our needs and we had a really lovely time at Bramham. Our horse did well cross country - clear over a big course, but he had 3 show jumps down - not his forte!! I hope your grand-daughter got to see him. Lovely cottage in a great location. Walking the surrounding area from the house was great and very near to a pub and tearoom which both served great food. The hot tub was an added bonus!

We felt this was absolutely a beautiful find, and Gotta be one of the best places we have stayed yet. The barn conversion is done to a high standard and is so cosy ,warm and welcoming Karen was super friendly and gave some good advice, left us with a lovely cake ,milk and a bottle of Prosecco, such a lovely touch. I would definitely recommend this place, it is pristine and the views are out of this world, I became obsessed with watching the sheep out of the bedroom window 😂

The cottage was lovely; lots of lovely touches and decor. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need, with tea bags, coffee, hot chocolate etc provided. The beds were super comfy. We were a little nervous of the parking situation, but it was absolutely fine - the square is very open with quite a few cars parked overnight, so we didn’t feel at all concerned about leaving the car. It was a little noisy with lorry traffic in the night and early hours, so worth taking ear plugs if you are sensitive to noise. Overall we had a lovely stay. We were lucky enough to have dinner at Where There’s Smoke, and we really recommend it for a special meal.

Had a lovely night in this beatifull and peacefull location. Local places such as pubs/restaurants are not walkable but only a short drive gives lots of choice. We went to the spotted ox in tockwith throughly enjoyable Would definitely stay again :)
